LaLaLand is a place of peace & restoration. Perfect getaway from the city or stop-over traveling along the coast. Set back from the small town of Guala, nested amongst 10 acres of redwoods.
The private deck offers sweeping views of the ocean- ideal for watching the sunrise or sunset while sipping on your favorite beverage & stargazing free from light pollution by night.
Located on the ridge above Highway 1, LalaLand is usually sunnier & warmer than surrounding areas, typically with no wind.
The space

*We are renovating the secondary suite in the apartment. It will be available by April 1st, and we will update pictures as soon as it is available. It will be a basic space for now, with a full bed, place to sit and designated workspace, perfect for extra guests in your party*

The Ocean Suite at Lala Land is a private apartment with two separate rooms and a separate entrance from the main house, accessed via the ocean-side deck.
Cozy & stylish with luxuriously comfortable queen bed in the primary suite and a full-sized bed in the secondary suite.
You'll be able to enjoy the ocean view through the large sliding glass doors right from your bed of the primary suite.

The spa-like bathroom features two skylights with views of the redwoods & sky or stars above the rain-style shower.
Step out onto the deck to enjoy the scent of the surrounding redwoods & the warmth of the ocean ridge sunshine.
Lala Land features private filtered well-water which is delicious & refreshing.
Guest access
Please drive slowly (15 mph or less) on the dirt road and SLOW DOWN immediately if you see someone walking. Please pull into the driveway very SLOWLY as the dogs may be roaming.

Your room apartment is private, and your side of the deck is used only by you. You may see me occasionally on the other side of the deck, but I am working out of town very regularly.

Feel free to walk up the driveway to access the road for a stroll. The rest of the property is private.
Other things to note
Please remove your shoes at the door.

You will also have plenty of wildlife to enjoy during your stay, including hummingbirds, deer, foxes, raccoons, skunks, bobcats, & occasionally a bald eagle or hawk.

Please be aware that LaLa Land is our home, so we may be onsite, along with pets and farm animals that roam the property freely. Mika, our large white Alaskan Malamute mix guards the property and may be present to greet you, or pop by to say hello. She may be accompanied by our new puppy Mimoso, a Yorkie-poodle mix. They are both very friendly to other animals and absolutely love meeting guests. They should not be entering your private unit or deck, or bothering you in any way during your stay, so please let us know if there is a concern.

The Wifi is strong and reliable.

Be very careful about fire hazards. Never leave any appliances on when going outside! Never leave appliances unattended while on.
