  • Guys golf/ Girls winery getaway

"Had a fantastic stay at this home! We are a group of four couples that try and get together every fall for a golf/winery adventure. This home was perfect for us, all four couples each had their own bedroom and own bathroom! The home is laid out so well for a large group. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. Great proximity to golf, wineries and restaurants. It was a 3 minute walk to the tram which made it easy to walk the beach- it was a little windy, but still very nice to experience. The views from the deck are like nothing any of us have experienced. We enjoyed both the hot tub and fire pit since the nights were chilly. Bob, the owner, was just super accommodating and great to work with, thank you for a great mini-vacation!"

  • Wonderful house for a nice vacation!

"This is a tremendous house with very nice details. The kitchen has wonderful appliances & space to make meals at. There are beds everywhere if you are looking for big groups. The property & yard are spacious and perfect for a dog. The fire pit in the back was wonderful on a Fall night. The location is key- 10 minutes from downtown South Haven & 10 minutes from downtown Saugatuck. Additionally- Klindt (the owner) was great with details. He left a binder with information, pamphlets for local businesses/events & was very responsive. My husband, dog & I would highly recommend this house!"

  • Fantastic rental in the most picturesque of settings, highly recommend!

"My husband and I stayed for 3 nights and fell in love with this this property and with South Haven. Barb was fantastic from the beginning, communicating quickly and she really thought of every detail. When we arrived there was a nice bottle of MI wine and 2 of the most delicious muffins, which made us feel very welcomed. The apartment is very well stocked with everything you could possibly need and Barb even had a bag of ice in the freezer at arrival. Everything was clean, neat and decorated very tastefully. The property grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. There are porches with tables and chairs in the front and in the back, a nice grill and plenty of seating around the grilling area. The property is on a quiet residential street and we felt very safe, even at night walking to the water and into town for dinner and drinks. The beach is only a few blocks away and we were able to walk down every night to watch the sun set. There is a stunning pier and lighthouse that you can walk down to enjoy the water and sunsets (highly recommend). A few blocks in the opposite direction is a quaint downtown area with lots of local little shops, antiques, cafes and restaurants. Other than a little rain on our last day we were able to walk downtown everyday. Being that we went in October the weather was cooler and the trees changing their leaves were gorgeous and made our walks even more enjoyable. About the area: We were both pleasantly surprised at how affordable it was, not at all over priced like you would think of a "tourist spot". It never felt like a high traffic heavy tourism location, but instead very laid back with super nice people. On our rainy day we decided to go to the movie theater and were shocked when we got 2 tickets, a large popcorn and 2 large drinks for $14! YES, $14 for everything! A few places we ate and would recommend were The Black Tavern, The Thirsty Perch, Venezia Pizza and The Taste. If you like donuts/baked goods The Golden Brown Bakery has plenty to choose from and everything is baked fresh nightly. The Channel Wine Bar was fantastic and attached to it is a place called Tipsy Brush Studio, where you can sign up for a class and paint canvas art. We signed up for an evening class ($35 each for us to paint our own canvas) and we had such a blast! Every year we try to have a 3 night mini vacation just the two of us (kiddo free) and hands down this was the BEST one yet! We will be returning again!"

  • The property was very nice and clean. Very roomy

"We loved this property. It was very clean and spacious. Our kids loved the games and of course playstation3. It was only 40 minute drive to bittersweet ski lodge which was great. Very close to the beach which we did go to and check out. We would define try stay there again. The reason we didn't give it a 5 is the tv's in the bedrooms downstairs didn't work or have batteries in the remote and that would've been helpful to get the kids settled down. We would definitely recommend this house to our friends."
