This is a really great spot for those that enjoy something akin to a glamping experience. This is just so much nicer than a cabin - redone bathrooms, a full kitchen, ice cold AC. The site itself is one of those hidden gems you kind of just have to see. It’s a relic covered bridge that I’ve never seen up close. The building itself is an old gristmill with the upper floor converted into the accommodation- the water wheel even turns. I was able to meet the groundskeeper from Cullman county and he told me a good bit of history about the site, really nice guy.The area is super nice, great slice of ruralAlabama. We explored over towards the Addison and Bankhead National Forest which is also a hidden gem with some of the most spectacular views and waterfalls I’ve seen in the South. Love the culture around here and everyone is super friendly. You really feel the southern hospitality.Great spot, can’t recommend it enough.
Large cabin stayed cool during the day of hot summer. Clean and comfortable. We would stay again. I do wish more of the windows would open as we could only crack one to listen to the waterfall at night.
Could’ve ask for a better place to be in Cullman with all the Christmas activities! Walking around the property to the covered bridge and waterfall took lots of pictures!
This place was great! The only negative things were that the beds are a little uncomfortable, and there isn't a lot of privacy, but other than that, it was wonderful!!! <3 Thank you for a FUN, FUN, AMZING weekend!
This was a great place to stay in. The surrounding where fantastic. The inside was clean and all brand new. We were so pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend staying here. Management was very responsive. Way better than a hotel room.
We had a great stay at the cabin. Loved the location and property and proximity to town. Great place for a family or small group of friends. Only complaint was the beds were a lil uncomfortable and water pressure was low. Outside of that, two thumbs up!
