Located on our Private Fishing Pond

Cabin 25 is a cozy one bedroom cabin with 1 queen size bed. It will accommodate a maximum of 2 people including children. This cabin has a small living room and dining room area with a gas fireplace and a kitchenette which includes a 2 burner stovetop, refrigerator, sink, microwave, coffee maker, all dishware and pots and pans. This cabin has 1 bathroom with a shower. Cabin 25 has a nice sized partially covered porch that faces the pond and mountains and is so close to the pond you could fish from the porch! This cabin is non-smoking and is pet friendly for an additional fee.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Perfect Little Cabin

Cabin was centrally located off Main St. The furnishings were perfect for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed the view of the pond and snow covered mountain side. We were visted by a group of deer daily.

Great experience

The cabin was as advertised and even better. It’s a smaller studio type but had everything we needed and more. It was clean, cozy, and had access to the pond right off the back porch at a very fair price. We also were able to take our dog which was a nice option. Will be back!

Welcome! My name is Brian Waltz, and my wife Tawnya and I have been the managers for the Rio Colorado Cabins for the past 18 years and counting. We also have 2 sons Joshua and Zachary. Our goal for the last 18 years has been to provide exceptional customer care and to re-establish the Rio Colorado Cabins as a premier lodging facility in Red River, New Mexico. During our time as managers we’ve remodeled almost all of our cabins and have completed many other projects vital to the property. Another goal has been to continue to build our customer base, and we are so happy so many of our guests return year after year.
We know we may not be the perfect fit for every vacationer, but we believe we are the best at what we do, providing a memorable experience a 5 star resort simply can’t offer. We offer the opportunity to connect to the things that matter most, with friends and family instead of expensive amenities that lack the character and rustic charm our cabins bring.
