The Bears Den

The Bear's Den is extremely private and is available year round. Brand new kitchen and screened in front porch! The cabin is close to many great outdoor activities including access to Loon Lake for canoeing, fishing, swimming and more. Access to the lake is about 2 miles away and you can park there. There is a canoe and 2 kayaks there for you to use. Loon Lake is a private lake and sees very little motor boat activity which makes it a Great Lake for canoes and kayaks. Yes there are loons! It's awesome to hear their calls and sometimes see them up close. The Bear's Den is located 20 miles north of Saranac Lake and 28 miles to Lake Placid/Whiteface Mountain in Franklin County NY. It is about 30 minutes to Titus mountain which is a great little ski resort. The cabin has two bedrooms and one bath. one bedroom has a full size bed and the other bedroom has a queen size bed and a twin in a loft. There is a Big screen TV and satellite wireless internet. Go fishing on Loon Lake for Large Mouth bass, Small Mouth and Northern Pike! There are also places to fish for trout within 10 minutes of the camp. There are thousands of acres of state land a stone's throw away and you can hike up Crusher Mountain in about 45 minutes from the front door. if you are feeling a little more adventurous, you can hike Loon Lake Mountain and see the fire tower. There are so many things you can do in the area. The cabin is rustic, cozy and very private. We hope to hear from you soon.
