About Dick and Mary George
We retired from our jobs in the medical profession in 2008 to move to the Adirondack Mountains where we took a retirement job as live in inn keepers at a historic Great Camp. We found that we loved the Adirondacks and purchased a home and retired from our retirement job.
Dick and Mary George purchased this Apartment in 2010
Why Dick and Mary George chose Bloomingdale
Having traveled to the Adirondacks many times over the past 20 years we came to appreciate and enjoy the Mountain lifestyle. We fell in love with this property from the moment we first saw it. The view is stunning and we feel so fortunate to be able to live in these beautiful mountains.

A beautiful place!
My boyfriend and I came for a long weekend and had a great time. The place is beautiful, private, and Dick and Mary were very kind and welcoming!
We really enjoyed our weekend. The cottage is lovely and the views are spectacular! It's in a peaceful location but a short drive to Saranac Lake & Lake Placid. Dick & Mary are wonderful hosts, very welcoming and accommodating. Our only regret is that the weekend went too fast. We would love to come back again and take out the kayaks.
This property is even nicer and larger than it looks in the photos. It is extremely clean and comfortable. The view of the lake, which is right across the street, is just spectacular. The hosts, Dick and Mary, strike just the right balance of being helpful without being intrusive. It was a very peaceful stay for us. We especially enjoyed the ease of kayaking in the lake, hiking nearby trails and Dick's tour of White Pine Camp. If you enjoy easy hikes, check out nearby Cobble Lookout and Moose Pond. Just an outstanding place to stay.
Thank you Dick and Mary for your kindness and for making our stay enjoyable. Great location for hiking, very clean accommodations, and considerate hosts. Mary and Dick went out of their way to welcome us, leave a staple pantry in the cottage, and we enjoyed the muffins on our arrival. Thank you! Mark and Nicole
