Victorian Retreat Steps to the Beach and Washington Street

Whether you want your toes in the sand or a seat at the best restaurants in town, it’s all just a short stroll from this newly refreshed three-story Victorian condo set in the heart of historic Cape May. Enjoy a morning coffee on the front porch facing tree-lined Windsor Avenue as the famous horse drawn carriages clip clop by. In the evening, unwind with a cocktail on the second floor deck and enjoy the sunset views. And the rest of the day? Well, that’s up to you. Grab the beach tags and chairs to enjoy a day in the sun and surf (don’t worry, there’s an outdoor shower waiting for you to rinse off when you return). Stroll Washington Street and find some shopping treasures then walk over to explore all West Cape May has to offer. Or just spend time relaxing at the house.

Starting on the second floor there’s a fully stocked kitchen open to the dining area. If it’s steak for dinner there’s a gas grill in the backyard for your use. The living room is a relaxing retreat with ample seating for everyone to enjoy their favorite movie, and the pull-out couch offers flexible sleeping arrangements. A full bath with walk-in shower completes the second floor. Moving to the third floor, a charming bathroom with a claw-foot tub greets you at the top of the stairs. Three comfortable bedrooms provide serene retreats for kids of all ages, from a spacious king bed in the front room, a queen in the middle and a back bedroom with bunk beds plus a twin – perfect for resting up for tomorrow’s Cape May adventures!

Sheets and towels are NOT provided. The first floor is a separate condo unit.

Beautiful home in an excellent location! Located on a beautiful Nd quiet street, it was just a quick walk to the beach, mall and West Cape May. A great home base in Cape May.

The house was great. Clean, thoughtfully equipped and decorated in an ideal location. In less than 10 minutes you can walk to the beach or the Washington Street mall, yet the neighborhood where the house is is nice and quiet. Katie communicated well. We hope to stay here again next year.

Cape May dream

This place has a wonderful location- just a minuscule walk to the beach. The beach box there is exceptionally convenient and well stocked. With an outdoor shower available to rinse off sand, it made life so easy upon return. Three floors of rooms have our family plenty of space.

We had an excellent stay at this home. The location is fantastic -- only two blocks to the beach and about a five minute walk to downtown. You can also walk to a CVS and other nearby restaurants. We were very grateful for the well-stocked beach box, and we are big fans of the Cool Canopy. The beach is beautiful and not too crowded. The house/apartment itself is wonderful. Kitchen is well-stocked, beds are comfortable, and the place is clean. We had a wonderful week.

Coworkers and I took a week long getaway here and were so happy with the property. The location to everything was great and we enjoyed making so many memories in Cape May and at this house when the sun went down.

Charming place in a great location

We had a wonderful time in Cape May. The house is in a great location and it was very clean and charming. Only things to be aware of is there are a lot of steep steps and you have to share the driveway and porch.

Great location, close to everything, which is good because parking may be difficult at times. Condo is super cute and clean, owner was very responsive and helpful. Neighbors are really nice.

Quaint and charming home

We loved the house and location. We had 6 adults and the space was perfect. It was very well supplied with all essentials. We spent most of our time on the back porch or at the beach. Highly recommend this home as long as you don't mind the stairs. Easy walk to shopping area, restaurants, and the beach. Would stay again!

Perfect family vacation spot!

Location was absolutely amazing - close walking distance to both the beach and shops (which was key with our young kids). Katie was a dream to communicate with. Very helpful when we accidentally locked ourselves out! The house was perfect to host a fun vacation week with our kids. She leaves an informative pamphlet in the kitchen for you and was kind enough to write out where everything was (beach badges / chairs etc) as well as her favorite restaurants and things to do.There was ample room for kids to play, cozy bedrooms and the decor was perfectly "beachy!" Board games were there which came in handy during some rainy periods. A roomy kitchen, comfortable mattresses and a cozy porch made this house the perfect fit for our vacation. I'd recommend this house to anyone looking for a great place to stay in beautiful Cape May.

Great stay ! Great hosts

Nice house. Bigger in person than in pictures. Felt very spacious. King bed was very comfortable. House had everything we needed. Loved sitting on the outdoor couch! Hosts were very responsive and so easy and flexible to work with! They even sent us coffee for the keurig when the other coffee pot broke. Would definitely rent from them again.

End of summer break with grown kids

We had a great time with our twenty-something kids. House was clean, cute and close to the beach and restaurants in the center of town. 3rd bedroom has 3 beds (cot and bunk beds) which were a bit small for full grown person - but perfect for kids. We also enjoyed the board games! Be aware there are very steep stairs to get up to house - would not work well for anyone with hip or knee issues. Owner was very responsive ❤️

would do it all over again :)

The whole process from the start was so easy from booking to arriving to sadly leaving. Good times always go by too fast. The location was perfect a few blocks from the beach and the mall. Just far enough from the center to make it an easy walk to Acme or CVS for forgotten necessities. The house was clean and comfortable with all the amenities of home. Myself and and my children got to visit and rekindle the love we found visiting CM when they were little. Loved the neighbor, such a sweet couple, and even got my canine fix visiting with their dog Finn. I would highly recommend to anyone and would consider this as a repeat on our next visit to Cape May. Thank you so much our time here was thoroughly enjoyed! Robyn

Exceptional location—just a short walk to both the beach and Washington Street Mall.A great bonus was the private beach storage box, stocked with 7 chairs, a Cool Cabana, several boogie boards, and toys for kids. We didn’t need to bring a thing! Ask the host what’s currently inside before packing.The home is decorated with beachy charm and feels more spacious than in the photos. It includes the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors, with the top floor converted into a cozy hangout perfect our teen.There are a lot of stairs, which became my daily workout. We didn’t mind, but it may not be ideal for older guests. The house includes one parking spot in a narrow shared driveway—a major plus in Cape May. Don’t bring a pickup truck. Parking needs to be coordinated with a friendly first floor neighbor which was easy to do.Everything in the house worked well, including a strong AC system that kept us cool during a 90-degree week. The kitchen was well-stocked with modern appliances, there’s a spacious deck and a Weber grill.Note: bed linens aren’t provided. We rented from Linen Ladies, but I wouldn’t do so again. Buying new stuff on Amazon would have been half the price and simpler to manage. Overall, a fantastic stay in a beautiful home we’d gladly return to!
