About the property

2 Bedroom, 1.5 Bathroom, Sleeps 4-5

Once you've arrived, there's no need for a car...you're exactly where you want to be in Cape May!

Inside this sunny renovated 1,200 square foot home, you'll enjoy a clean, traditional style: granite counter tops, freshly painted walls, hardwood floors, and comfortable decor. One floor of living space includes 2 spacious bedrooms, an open dining and living area and 1 and 1/2 baths. Step outside onto your charming porch and be transported back in time: quaint Victorian houses, horse-drawn carriages, gas lights, and merriment. This property lets you vacation in the best of both worlds while being steps away from the beautiful Cape May beaches and Washington Street Mall shopping area.

One of the best features of this space is the flexibility to relax on your own porch, and enjoy a glass of wine, or dine with family and friends at your leisure. Other vacationers pay top dollar to spend the evening on the neighboring verandas of award-winning restaurants lining historic Jackson Street. No worries if it's privacy that you crave... the back porch allows for relaxation with your guests in a lovely quiet setting.

What a terrific time to visit Cape May!! We have two teenage sons that have always been involved in sports so..... getting away has always been difficult due to their schedules. When time actually opened up, we were able to secure this property for the long weekend via VRBO in less than an hour just two days before we traveled. Thank you Steven for your quick response. We also used the services of Linen Ladies for sheets and towels and they were fantastic.

Now about the home....location, location, location!!!! While we were in the middle of many bed and breakfasts on one of the most historic streets in Cape May, we appreciated that we had the use of the entire first floor of such a historic home with living room, kitchen, dining room and fireplace. King & Queen size beds, you get the picture. Does not get much better. A beautiful home. Dining was fantastic with the Mad Batter located across the street and Uncle Bill's just down the road. Walks along the beach in November were relaxing.

We also followed the things to do in Cape May found in trip advisor and loved our visit to the Light House, Alpaca Farm, WWII Museum, Carriage Ride, Willow Creek Winery and Sunset Beach for the Cement Ship. We are still enjoying Johnson's Popcorn and homemade Fudge!!

Thank you for such a fantastic weekend on such short notice, hope to visit again for a longer period of time during the warmer months!!

Cape May Escape

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I chose this property to enjoy a mid-week Fall escape not far from home, and to host and introduce my sister from Atlanta to the lovely seaside resort of Cape May. We felt right at home in this spacious and gracious property with old world charm and tasteful updates. The 2 bedrooms with King and Queen sized beds were comfortable and well-spaced apart in the unit. The photos and description are accurate, and the property was immaculate. The off-street parking for 2 cars is an added bonus with this rental in the heart of Cape May so close to the beach, the restaurants and shopping. Once parked, we had really no use for the cars, and when we did drive away, we had the hassle-free convenience of the driveway. We admit that we had little time to use the full-size washer and dryer, or the fully equipped chef's kitchen with so many dining options at our doorstep (Like the Virginia Hotel and the popular Mad Batter Restaurant directly across the street). We did make time to read in a charming and cozy-pillowed window seat, on front and side porches, and beach chairs. We wished for more time and more guests to host a family dinner in the turn-of-the century dining room and a warming fire in the fireplace. We highly recommend this location to friends and fellow travelers for all of its amenities and conveniences and for all seasons. Thank you, Steve, for these great accommodations and prompt responses to our questions.

Perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Our third year staying at this house and it never disappoints. Always clean and the location just can't be beat. Jackson street is gorgeous and you are close to both the beach and Washington St mall. With 2 small children, it was just perfect to sit out on the porch and watch the action with a glass of wine once the kiddos were asleep. Just got home and already want to go back!

Can we stay here again?

  • 5 of 5

When my family saw the condo and location their immediate reaction was can we stay here every year? The condo is very spacious and the two parking spaces came in very handy. We loved having our own washer and dryer in the unit also. The kitchen was very well supplied and made for an easy stay. The condo is just steps from everything. You really can't beat the location if you are looking for time on the beach or shopping and restaurants. The owners were really great to work with and we look forward to staying with them again in the future.

Well located

  • 4 of 5

Nice condo, not enough bathrooms, one full and one half bathroom for 2 couples is lacking in my opinion. The balcony arrangement is bizarre. The first night we were there, the guests from the upstairs condo were on their balcony (in front of our bedroom window) talking until the wee hours of the night. It was as if they were in the bedroom with us, we didn't get to sleep until they had gone off to bed. We were forced to sleep in another room for the rest of our stay as they were on the front porch every evening. I think that there should be some kind of rule that states a time limit, to be considerate of other guests. Kitchen was well equipped, fairly clean. 3 minute walk to the beach was fabulous. Outdoor shower when returning from beach was very convenient. Walk to all the restaurants was very nice too. A bit disappointed in Cape May for refusing babies in some of the restaurants on the main street. It's a family resort area after all.
