This property is the downstairs unit in an older home in the historic Olde Wythe neighborhood in Hampton, Virginia. It has a really nice kitchen, with a large living room with 65” TV, large dining room and two bedrooms, each with a large flat screen TV. It does have only one small bathroom. We briefly had very noisy upstairs neighbors, but when I contacted management, my complaint was handled immediately and satisfactorily. The property is a block from the Hampton Roads harbor, across from the Norfolk Naval base. It is conveniently located, close to I-64 to go to Norfolk and Virginia Beach or Williamsburg and Yorktown. Hampton and Newport News also have beaches, great restaurants, museums and lots of outdoor activities.
Great spot. Comfortable, roomy, a kitchen with all the needs. Host was amazing. Answered every question i had at every turn. Really wonderful and i would love to stay here again or any of their other properties.

I had high hopes
I was very disappointed to walk in to dirty carpet throughout the house, hair in tub, broken blinds. Dining table chairs falling a part. It did not look or smell clean. I am requesting a partial refund of one night’s stay. I had to stay because it’s a college town and all hotels were booked. I honestly did not want to. I did not feel comfortable. The location was very convenient.
I just wish that the owner visited the property to see what the guests are saying. There was a complaint about dirty carpet a year ago. Somehow I missed that during booking.

Prior to the guest posting this review, we refunded the cleaning fee to apologize, as we acknowledged that there were some stains on the carpet due to end of season wear. The carpet was cleaned immediately following the guests departure. The guest also voiced concerns over issues mentioned above during their stay, and we requested that our team could be granted access to both corroborate the claims, and to ensure that any issues were taken care of immediately, but the guest refused to grant access. We are at a loss as to the dining room chairs, as they are functioning perfectly, and there are no previous negative reviews, so unsure as to the complaint the guest was referring to.

Disappointed
The ONLY reason I rated this 2 star instead of 1 is because the communication with the host was superb! Lynn was a pleasure to deal with. However as far as the property goes, it was in quiet neighborhood in historical Wythe in Hampton. The unit was clearly the original dwelling which needless to say is old. Nothing had been renovated or updated. The insulation was definitely a problem which kept the unit hit as balls during the day even with the ac on. At night there was no problem. Due to the age of the unit the doors were loud opening and closing them. Lastly the cleanliness of the unit was a joke. Hair was on the floor and in bathroom tub I am assuming left by the last tenant. These reasons is why I ended up only staying a little over a week and not extending longer, I just couldnt do it.

We do appreciate that you enjoyed our communication! We do strive to take care of all of our guests :)
This is an older home, but we have renovated and replaced as we've been going. I wish that you had reached out to us during your stay, so we could have helped address the cleaning issues, as well as any maintenance issues that we may have had. As for the AC, our cleaners found the AC on and windows open when they entered the home. As soon as they shut the windows, the temperature in the home dropped back down to 70
