⏰ Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM (Firm)

We have a scheduled cleaning team and are unable to accommodate late check-outs. A $50 per hour fee will apply for departures after 11:00 AM to cover rescheduling costs.



👥 Approved Guests Only, Maximum Occupancy: 10

All guests must be included in your reservation request and approved prior to arrival. No unapproved visitors or overnight guests are permitted.



The base rate includes up to 8 guests. There is an additional fee of $35 per person, per night for the 9th and 10th guests to help cover the extra laundry and housekeeping costs.



📹 For everyone's safety and security, exterior security cameras are installed on the property.



🐾 Dog-Friendly (Up to 3 Dogs | $100 Fee)

We welcome well-behaved, potty-trained dogs.



Please note:

• Dogs must be friendly and well-socialized

• Dogs must be on leash outdoors at all times

• Dogs may not be left unattended at the property

• Guests are responsible for any pet-related damage or accidents

• Please include your pet in your reservation so the pet fee is applied correctly



🌿 Smoking Policy

THC / 420 is permitted outdoors only, away from shared spaces, and must be extinguished safely due to wildfire risk.

No indoor smoking of any kind, including tobacco or cannabis. Additional cleaning fees will apply for smoke odors indoors.



🔥 Fire Safety

Our mountain community is highly fire-sensitive. Please fully extinguish all smoking materials and use fire features responsibly.



🎵 Quiet Enjoyment Only

No parties.

No loud outdoor music.

Quiet Hours: 10pm - 8am. Please help us maintain the peaceful atmosphere our guests and neighbors cherish.



🚗 Parking

Ample parking for up to 4 vehicles. 4WD or AWD highly recommended during winter months. AWD & FWD vehicles will require chains to get up the driveway. Chains required for all vehicles during winter months in case of snow storms - even 4WD vehicles may require chains to get past checkpoints up the mountain during snowy weather.



❄️ Weather / Power Outages

Mountain weather, snow, and occasional power shutoffs can occur without warning. If roads remain open, reservations remain non-refundable under our cancellation policy. Emergency lanterns and alternative heat sources are provided during outages.



🧼 Accidents Happen—Please Let Us Know



If something gets stained, damaged, or broken during your stay, please let us know right away. We understand accidents happen, and honest communication goes a long way. Promptly reported incidents are unlikely to result in charges, while unreported damage or stains may incur cleaning or replacement fees.



🩸 Biohazard Cleanup



Please report any blood, vomit, or other biohazard messes immediately. Additional cleaning fees may apply if they are not reported or reasonably cleaned up.



🏡 Please Treat Our Home with Respect



Excessive trash, mess, or damage beyond normal use may result in additional cleaning fees.

Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the home and property during their stay.



The Neighborhood:

Cedar Haus is tucked away in one of the more quiet neighborhoods of Idyllwild-Pine Cove, on the end of a cul-de-sac street. A short 10 minute drive to the center of town allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds.



Getting Around:

You will need a car in Idyllwild - there is no Uber or Lyft here. We are located 1.5 hours from Palm Springs Airport.



Parking: Up to 4 cars can be accommodated in the driveway. No street parking available, parking on the street could result in ticketing and/or towing. 4WD or AWD highly recommended during winter months. AWD & FWD vehicles will require chains to get up the driveway. Chains required for ALL vehicles during winter months in case of snow storms - even 4WD vehicles may require chains to get past checkpoints up the mountain during snowy weather.
