Exquisite property. Memorable experience.
Spent 2 nights at this elegant home. Everything from the architecture, to interior design, to appointments were first class. Gorgeous setting in the woods, near a stream. Will be back.
Awesome place to stay up in Idyllwild. The cabin has every amenity you would need/want for a relaxing stay, secluded location with a very easy and pretty creek hike, and close to the center of town so everything is within walking distance. I would stay here everytime I come up to Idyllwild.
Had a simply wonderful stay at this property. Owners were very responsive to all questions and were exceptionally considerate and helpful. The property was beautiful and the last minute snowfall made the stay even more magical!
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cabin! It was spacious and secluded. The hosts were great. This is a wonderful gem! Highly recommend this gem for a mountain getaway! We hope to come back soon!

Thank you, Amy! It was such a pleasure to host you and your lovely family as our first guests at this new property of ours. We hope you made lasting memories. You are welcome back anytime!
We came to Idyllwild from San Diego to enjoy some winter weather. We stayed mainly indoors with some forays into the backyard to enjoy the snow and the creek. We didnโt mind barely leaving the property since the cabin is so cozy and had just about everything you needed. The proprietor was easy to communicate with and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.
This property & home did not disappoint. Everything is as depicted in the pictures. We were extremely happy with the location & amenities throughout. Appreciated that there were window coverings for evening & the views during the day are lovely. We canโt wait to go back for an even longer stay.
It was a delight to stay at this gorgeous lodge tucked away in the woods of Idyllwild! It's close enough to walk to town but far enough away to feel remote! The home and property are lovely with everything we needed & more! Our family joined us for part of our stay, and we celebrated our upcoming 50th anniversary! Thank you for the seamless logistics and helping us make fun memory markers!
From the moment we walked in the door - everything was perfect! Lights were on, music was playing and the spa was at 102 degrees. Was very welcoming.Everything was as explained in the post and it was super clean! Plenty of dishes and everything needed for cooking onsite. Took the trail by the stream all the way into town one afternoon. Every person we came across was so friendly.Would absolutely stay here again and I highly recommend this home to anyone wanting to get away and relax for a few days.

Perfect Stay
Spent 4 days in the beautiful Idylllodge. Our stay included my wife, daughter , husband and 2 granddaughters. The Lodge was immaculate and spotless. Had a thunderstorm roll through and made the stay complete. Our hosts were very accomodating and the Idyllwild residents very friendly. All appliances are in working order and the top of the line brands. The hosts thought of everything. Can't say enough good things about this lodge. Plenty of space for 8 people. We highly recommend this retreat. Trail runs past the lodge by the stream and goes all the way to town. Took about 20 mins to walk it. We loved our stay and will be back.
This cabin was a dream! I stayed here with my sister and my mom (all adults). We each had our own rooms and own bathroom. The home was solid and quiet - we could not hear each other get up in the middle of the night. The kitchen was beautiful and well equipped. We needed nothing for our stay. The dining room overlooking the trees was dreamy. The furniture was clean and cozy and there were warm blankets on all the sofas. The deck was huge and gorgeous. The creek and trail outside made for a great time of serenity. We soaked in the hot tub, played games and relaxed. We walked to the adorable town for delicious breakfast every morning. Very easy and beautiful walk. The host was easy to get a hold of and was wonderful to deal with. 10/10 - definitely come stay here when you come to Idyllwild!
The cabin is beautiful and in the best location. Close to town yet submersed in nature surrounded by trees and a creek right in the backyard. The cabin is situated on a huge lot with ample parking and space to play catch, ride bikes, and just explore. My boys were entertained all day exploring the creek and lounging on the hammock. The rooms are all well sized and updated with nice bathrooms and kitchen. We played shuffleboard each night and board games. The kitchen is well stocked with seasonings and oils which was much appreciated! Easy walk into town and restaurants but we enjoyed cooking in the gourmet kitchen each night. The dining table was my favorite space as we ate dinner with views of the forest all around us and then soaked in the hot tub each night. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone. Pack n play, baby gate, and booster seat were much appreciated as well! Would stay again for sure!
The kind of place that brought tears upon leaving. And weโve been coming to strawberry creek for years. Clean, well organized, (labels!), upscale appliances, comfortable beds, family friendly home with lots of space, but who wants to spend anytime inside, particularly when the creek is running. This almost palatial home is right on the creek and if you time it right, you will hear the creek as you sleep at night. Mental health break for everyone. No tv in great room downstairs meant we brought out our guitars and sang. But plenty of screens, especially upstairs, for the couch potatoes. Great family time negotiating this yearsโ wild, chaotic creek path during snowmelt. And then a fabulous jet in the new small, hot tub on the porch to melt the aches and pains away. None of us actually walked into town, but it is a two minute drive, and still you feel as if you are in the complete and utter wilderness. This place has it all. Privacy. Trees. Boutiques and good restaurants a close walk or drive. You may have an entire itinerary planned, but donโt be surprised if you just want to sit down in the hammock and read a book while you look out at the creek. Hosts respond literally immediately if you have an issue. Easiest in and easiest out at a VRBO in a long time. We will be back. True vacation.
If you're looking for a classic mountain escape experience, this is it. Surrounded by forest and adjacent to a creek, it felt like our family was alone in the forest. What's equally amazing, though, is how conveniently located this quiet and seemingly remote location is to restaurants and shops.
The house is stunning. Large, beautifully appointed and comfortable. We had so much fun playing tabletop shuffleboard that we're in the process of buying one for our own home. The living room and dining room are exceptionally lovely. In short, you'd be crazy NOT to make this the place you stay in Idyllwild!
We have stayed at many properties over the years and IdyllLodge, by far, was the best! The home has everything you could possibly think of and more and is exactly as described.
We wanted to avoid airports and escape the heat, so we decided on a local trip to the mountains. Driving up to the home, the pictures did not do justice, it is gorgeous. As we unpacked, we suddenly heard the rush of Strawberry Creek right out the back door of the propertyโwhat a treat. We had coffee here daily and a creekside picnic.
Getting used to the altitude took a day, so we took a light hike into town along the creek for residents. After a rest day, we ventured out to Devils Slide Trail. This is moderately strenuous, so make sure to bring plenty of water. We gratefully used the Forest Adventure pass provided.
After an afternoon of hiking, we relaxed in the crystal clear hot tub that was so easy to useโa perfect 101 degrees. As we wound down in the tub, a cool afternoon shower rained down on us.
There is plenty of space all over the house to spread out. The kitchen is spacious and is great for entertaining. There are 3 sliding doors to the balcony and grill area. The view off the balcony is so peaceful; we read, grilled and did yoga on this beautiful balcony with a view.
Thank you Erin and Kelly for responding so quickly not our questions and inquiries and making check-in a breeze. The instructions were easy and covered all that we needed for our stay.
IdyllLodge is our new favorite local vacation!
