FLAMINGO COTTAGE - Summer vacation Lobster and Fishing season- sleeps 4

The Flamingo Cottage is a studio unit that includes a Queen-sized bed in the bedroom area, a full kitchen, bathroom with a walk-in shower, living area with a sofa, TV, table with 4 chairs and some outdoor space in front of the unit with a table and two chairs. It can comfortably sleep 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. The unit is air conditioned and WiFi service is available throughout the resort. Enjoy the communal outdoor pool and covered patio that has a gas grill, griddle and picnic area. We do have a laundry room for guests to use free of charge.

For those who would like to venture out to the beach, the unit comes with 2 beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a cooler and beach towels for your convenience.

Guest may request to have a dog, (1 dog of 40 pounds or less) accompany them on their vacation and will be required to sign and abide by a pet occupancy agreement as well as pay $75 in additional cleaning fees for the in-depth cleaning required after a dog has stayed in the unit. Guests that bring a dog that has not been pre-approved by management or do not follow resort rules will be asked to leave the resort and forfeit all payments.

Fishing adventures, bird watching, water sports or some down time relaxing in nature and the beauty of the most desired key in Florida. Weā€™re twenty-five miles to Key West for dinner and nightlike or walk down the block to the local tiki bar, Tonioā€™s.

We have plenty of space for your boat and trailer. There is a boat ramp just down the block at Tonio's that can handle flat boats 21' or smaller and the boat ramps at Cudjoe Gardens Marina (477 Drost Ave.) and Little Torch Key (SR 4A & County Road) can handle larger boats for a minimal fee.

Weā€™re located twenty-five miles from Key West for dinner and nightlife. Walk 2 minutes down the block to Tonio's Seafood Shack & Tiki Bar. Bahia Honda State Park, with its beautiful beaches, is a 15 minute drive from HIDDEN HAMMOCK RESORT. Our property is not on a waterfront and there are no public beaches in Summerland Key.

Guests are provided with the following amenities: a small bottle of dish soap, hand soap and a sponge, a roll of paper towels and toilet paper, a few laundry pods and hotel-size toiletries in the bathroom. This is to help our guests off to a good start. There are grocery and convenience stores in the areas for guests to purchase anything else that they may need.

Wonderful cottage

From the minute we arrived our host Hope was so helpful and accommodating. Our cottage was the perfect size for my husband and I. It has a full kitchen, nice soft bed, and the swimming was great to cool off after shopping, and the air conditioning was great. Hope helped us with many of the local places to eat and see. We already miss the cottage, and want to return!

Fantastic Hideaway

We had such a nice five-night stay at the Flamingo Cottage. It's secluded, quiet and was close to our desired Keys' activities. Communication was fantastic and facilities are as described. Can't wait for our next visit!

My husband and I stayed at The Flamingo Cottage and it was awesome! We went to Key West for a couple of days and spent time with family on Big Pine Key! The location was great! Enjoyed the pool and common areas.

Our hosts were very kind and accommodating. Whenever we had a question or request, Hope would respond right away, and she always seemed to have some sweets for us, which were a hit with the kids. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Great stay at the Flamingo Cottage. We were unable to get the TV to work and it was March Madness so we were in distress! Two of the owners came over within minutes and got the tournament on!! Hope gave us good recommendations on places to eat. Great location...easy drive to Key West. We used the pool and beach chairs and umbrella are available as well.

We managed to check in a little early, which was great. Flamingo cottage #1 is cute. Some technical difficulties with the TV were had, but between Glenn and his brother in law, it was easily resolved. Tonios is easy walking distance but you need to be mindful of crossing the highway. The Pool was lovely and relaxing after spending the day exploring. Key West was an easy 40 minute drive. The muffins and cookies left by Hope were yummy and much appreciated. Having use of a washing machine was a bonus. The cottage was well equipped, though a chopping board would have been useful. We'd definitely return if we were in the Keys.

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay! Hope was the perfect host. We enjoyed all the baked goods she brought. All of her suggestions were right on spot. We loved the location, nice and quiet. But close enough to Key West. Great bike paths too. We plan on returning next year!

Hidden Hammock -- a vacat

We spent an absolutely wonderful week on Summerland Key, calling Flamingo cottage, unit #1our cozy home. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and its surroundings offered seclusion and a peaceful place to enjoy nature. Our host, Hope, was incredibly welcoming, and helpful. We so enjoyed our visits with her and she was invaluable for steering us to the best places to eat. Relaxing and Quiet

We were able to relax in the quiet old Florida surroundings. We enjoyed our coffee on our patio in the mornings and after exploring the Keys during the day we relaxed by the swimming pool.

Relaxing. Spotless. Everything we needed and more. The pool was the highlight of the stay. The grill and skillet made our cooking a breeze. All the solar lights made it appear mystical. We even had a Key Deer visit the property. Highly recommend to all

Total Relaxation

Last minute find and we were impressed. Old Florida at it's best. Definite 5 star in quiet, beauty, and nature. Hope was a fantastic host. The muffins were an additional treat. Grill, Blackstone griddle, washer/dryer, ample common space and very nice pool. Plenty of room to park our trailer and great area to walk or ride your bike. Great location, close to Big Pine, Key West and plenty of restaurants! Improvements are constantly being done. For the price, hard to beat. Thank you again Hope and we will return.

We had a great experience at this little property. Clean, friendly, a great price, old Florida style, a great middle ground between Keys to enjoy all areas of the keys. Our only complaint was the comfort of the bed. A very soft and squishy mattress that allowed us to roll off the sides. A new mattress would make this property a 5! Beyond the mattress, the property was well equipped and furnished with all of our needs.
