The Whitlock cabin was awesome. The family and I had a great time staying there. It was very private but close to everything. Lee was the best host ever.
We are so thrilled we found this gem. We were in town to take our son to a TAMU track meet and once we got there I was secretly sad we weren’t going to be able to spend much time here. We loved the little cabin, the AC was great, the beds were comfy, the bath tub was phenomenal, the outside shower had great pressure. We will definitely be back and will always look for the Whitlock cabin first.
This cute cabin was well represented by the pictures and description! Tidy, clean, and cozy. Outside of town proper but not so far as to be inconvenient. AC that kept up with the summer heat, and fans in the upstairs loft!
We went down to Aggieland for our daughter's ring day and booked this great cabin for family. The location was good and the land was beautiful - we even got to visit with some cows each morning. This was much better than staying in a hotel...We will be back! :)
FAMILY AT STATE 4 H SHOW, THIS PLACE WAS PERFECT FOR 4 LITTLE COWGIRLS...AND THEIR MOM AND DAD

Staying at the cabin was great! Communication before and during our stay was thorough and thoughtful! All questions and concerns were handled promptly and with such kindness! The outdoor shower’s water is hot from the start and the property is clean and cozy! 10/10 would stay here again!
Whitlock Cabin has it all, from great communication to hospitality! Relaxing stay with amazing views. No difficulty getting to Kyle Field with rider sharing services

Cute little cabin with a wonderful peaceful setting. We loved the coffee setup and the games (and the fact that there was no tv so we could really enjoy talking as a family). They’ve done a great job of providing phone chargers, a great a:c unit and coffee which is all we needed. This cabin is a great value for the price
The cabin was just what we expected- cozy, fresh outdoor vibe. The host was super! Very quick to respond and meet our needs- above average for sure. The bunk downstairs was very comfortable- solid sleeping for adults or children. The upstairs loft worked well for our group with younger children- it was like high end camping - but probably not ideal for adults, especially aging adults ;)The amenities were great- as listed- keurig with condiments, wine glasses, bottle opener, basic camp type kitchen items (paper plates, napkins, etc)Well stocked mini fridge- plenty of bottled water and mini sodas.Great outdoor seating with charcoal grill and fire ring. Fishing pond and hammock were bonuses.Likely our favorite part was the miniature donkeys!Highly recommended cabin for those looking for an outdoor space away from the crowds and willing to go a bit ‘rugged’!
Stayed here for an A&M game and it was exactly what we were looking for. Clean and very cozy. The hosts stock the fridge with drinks and are very responsive if anything comes up (it won’t). Property is overall extremely unique with the outdoor space and livestock. If we are ever back in College station will absolutely stay with Lee and Collette. Also FYI uber comes out to the property anytime day or night.
We stayed for family weekend and the setting was great. Being on a farm was so rustic but still had ammenties of home. We did not cook on the property as we did not bring pans and such but it was a perfect little cabin on a farm. Clean kots of aleeping space the pond was so pretty and the cows come right up to the cabin.
My husband and I were in town for a concert and stayed 2 nights. The cabin was easy to find, only minutes from town, comfortable and clean with nice extras like cold drinks and pecan coffee. We really enjoyed the outside shower and the rocking chairs were so comfortable! My only issue was I like to sleep in super cold room, but Texas summer kept creeping in. It was cool and comfortable (and they had extra fans). I'm just a hot natured person. However, I will definitely stay here again anytime I am Bryan/College Station. Oh! And the pond was so nice, and when the fish feeder went off it really came alive with catfish and turtles. Absolutely recommend this cabin.

Rachel, we were so excited to host you guys for the concert weekend! Guests like you are what make us a premier host! Thank you for choosing the country and thank you for choosing the cabin. Please come again!
We stayed May 8-11, 2024 at the Whitlock Cabin as we were in town for our son's A&M graduation. The communication from the owners was excellent ahead of time. They were friendly, helpful, and joined us in celebrating the graduation with their communication including emails and a personal note when we arrived at the cabin. The cabin was spotless and just as described. There was Texas A&M decor and the beds, furniture, bathroom, outdoor areas were all well appointed and comfortable. The cabin is just off of the freeway and less than 15 minutes from campus. We were close to restaurants and Target. There were five adults in our party and we spent a lot of time at the cabin. We used the antique tub and shower house. Hot water was plentiful. The cabin had everything we needed and more. I highly recommend this cabin. The owners were wonderful!
We are still in awe of our recent trip to Whitlock Cabin! Everything was perfection! The cabin was immaculate and exactly as presented in pictures and the description on VRBO. The hosts were super sweet, and quick to respond to messages. The cabin is absolutely beautiful, and we enjoyed it so much we extended our stay. Our family enjoyed exploring the grounds, our kiddos caught (and released) so many fish while we were there that we lost count. Everything was so cozy and enjoyed by all of us. The scenery is stunning, and the outdoor furniture made it so easy to sit back and relax. We were close to everything we needed to attend. I cannot explain how refreshing and relaxing this stay was and it is because of the wonderful setup the hosts have provided at the cabin from drinks, to chargers, amazing ac unit. Hammocks, cornhole, board games, swings (on the porch and overlooking the pond) the rocking chairs, and adirondack chairs...everything was just perfect! This is the cutest and coziest place we have ever stayed as well as the most peaceful setting we have ever experienced. Thank you! We can't wait to come back!

About the host
Hosted by Lee Whitlock
We are from Bryan and the farm has been in the family for many generations. The cabin was built by us in 2002 to serve as a reminder of the cabin we visited often on the Red River as children. The wide-open 50 acres and rustic cabin will provide a place for families to slow down, make memories and visit about life. In such a fast paced culture, we trust the farm connects you with creation and presents an invitation to slow. Relaxation awaits!
Why they chose this property
What do we enjoy most????? The livestock, campfires and the 28' Trex pier that allows for fishing, relaxing and star gazing at night. The opportunities to slow down are abundant at the farm. Also, another perk is that you can save money with picnic style family meals at the farm and then decide to splurge for dinner at some of the local country cookin' nearby eateries. Your host can point you in the right direction.
What makes this property unique
Families can stay in hotels, but our tiny cabin in the woods, across from the pond provides natural entertainment without the need for TV or Wi-Fi. The reclining chairs by the pond, hammock, swing, fire pit provide a respite from the hustle of town. When others are preparing for the big game at Kyle Field, those without a ticket will be happy to stay back and enjoy the farm. A larger family can also economically take advantage of the cabin by utilizing the loft for it's generous sleeping space. Lastly, did I say explore and play? This is definitely the cabin advantage offering limitless outdoor opportunities- hunt for arrow heads and petrified wood, look for wildlife, search for the livestock, go fishing, traverse the woods, or settle in with a competitive family game of corn hole or checkers. We are not the 5 star hotel and spa, but we are a cozy cabin that provides an invitation for people to connect.
