The Apartment

Welcome to our very spacious private luxury apartment situated close to the beach at Nonsuch Bay Residences in Antigua.
This first floor (second floor for Americans) 176m2 apartment sleeps up to seven (including a sofa bed and and two extra child bed options).
Each of the two bedrooms comes with their own en-suite bathroom.
Our extensive balcony offers superb panoramic ocean views overlooking Nonsuch Bay towards Green Island.
Guests have full use of all 3 lovely infinity pools and beach when staying at our fully equipped self catering apartment - the best pool is right in front of our apartment.!

A fresh and welcome culinary dining experience at Nonsuch Bay just a few minutes walk from our apartment - opening in December 2024.

Nearby Beach Bum Bar at the famous Half Moon Bay beach is also highly recommended for lunch.

Some of Antigua's favorite restaurants Catherine's, Trappas, Flatties, Incanto, Cloggy's and Caribbean Taste can also be enjoyed on a night out at English Harbour.

40 knots Kite Surfing school are based at nearby Green Island and can pick you up from the resort.
Kite surfing can be booked directly with them via the 40knots website.

Nonsuch Bay Resort is an intimate gated resort set in 40 acres of tropically landscaped grounds and provides the perfect fresh air getaway.
Nonsuch Bay itself is a beautiful natural harbour on the island's east coast approximately 35 minutes from the airport.
The bay's clear waters are protected by a barrier reef while at its mouth is Green Island, an uninhabited snorkeler's paradise.

Steady year round temperatures of 80-85 degrees F (27-30 degrees C) during the day are made even more attractive by the cool and refreshing north easterly trade wind breezes coming in from the bay.

Great Villa and Location

This is a great property with spectacular views overlooking the pool, bay and Atlantic Ocean. Terrific wrap-around porch with constant trade winds. Everything we needed was easily coordinated.

Nonsuch Bay Stay

The property is beautiful and the apartment is everything we had hoped for: spacious, well appointed and with a large terrace overlooking the pool and sea. The resort also has a fantastic restaurant, Rokuni. Communications with the owner and wonderful housekeeper were seamless. A great stay in Nonsuch Bay!

Nonsuch Bay Review

The property itself, cleanliness, property owner, and help were a 10/10. The only notable complaint is that the beach on-property was essentially uninhabitable, as it had stagnant water with a lot of bugs. We expected more swimmable beach with waves.

Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful family vacation here with our teenage children. The property was beautiful and well maintained with a private ocean beach and 2 beautiful pools. The unit itself was wonderful as well - spacious, well maintained, and clean with plentry of outdoor space as well. Communication with the host was great as well. Overall it was a very relaxing and beautiful place to stay. Thank you for a great vacation!

Antigua Week

RELAXATION

Our apartment, the view from every room, the sound of the breeze flowing through the coconut and palm trees provided such a tranquil, peaceful, relaxing experience. Awakened to beautiful sun-rises glistening off the bay in the early morning, and mesmerized by the sun-sets in the evening. The beautiful beaches and turquoise waters added to the experience, as well as the great foods we enjoyed. It was topped-off to including our cook Anele who made a wonderful meal for our daughter's Birthday. One thing we regretted was that we were not closer to the city. Nevertheless, the tranquility and beauty was definitely what our bodies needed. Thank you, Peter, Pascale, and Anele.

Lovely Apartment!

Very peaceful, quiet resort where you can relax under the palm trees on the beach. The apartment is lovely, has everything you need to make your own meals, generous in size, and an ideal location at the resort, overlooking a beautiful pool. If you like kite sailing or sailing, this is an ideal location on the Atlantic side of the island with strong winds. For a Caribbean aqua blue water soft sand beach, Half Moon Bay is ideally located only 10 minutes away. In my opinion, the only thing the apartment lacked was some board games for nightly entertainment with kids. Otherwise, it is a great place to stay and the owner is extremely helpful and attentive to help make your stay fabulous!

Wonderful property

This was a super well run holiday property, with great communication throughout and the property itself was extremely well kitted out and looked after. Our family had great fun using the new air fryer and a big thanks for getting in a smoothie blender. We do like to cook and found the kitchen really well provided for. Definitely recommend using the pre shopping service as its extremely relaxing to arrive without having to navigate the supermarket after a long flight! The views from the apartment are stunning and the pools on the resort perfect for our family. It is a quiet resort, which suited us just fine. You need a car, which we had, so visted many places on the island,nothing is more than 50 mins or so away. The beach at Non Such is a nice addition to the resort and you can use the kayak for free, if you fancy it. Overall, a great family property if you want to stay in a quieter, very safe place with the freedom to come and go, as you please. The wifi worked perfectly during our stay and the air con is super efficent and excellent at cooling down rooms almost immediately! We would definitely recommend. Thank you Peter and team for our fab stay!

Beautiful Apartment, Wonderful Vacation April 2023

This apartment has everything needed for a stay in Antigua. Our family of 3 spent 8 days at Peter's lovely place. The sunrises were spectacular each morning from the balcony where we enjoyed breakfast, then relaxed with all the doors open, the curtains blowing with the cool breezes. On our first night we ate at Rokuni, the restaurant on property, the dim sum platter is a must along with other delicious dishes. A rental car is nice to have, we were able to visit Shirley Heights on Sunday for the sunset view, great food and huge party crowd. Easy to drive to Half Moon Bay and visit Beach Bum Restaurant and to Pineapple Beach for snorkeling. A visit to Nelson's Dockyard is a must for island history and grocery shopping was easy at Epicurean in St John's. After all the island exploring it was nice to relax at the pool in front of the apartment or on the balcony with the little birds who visited. Also to note, the air conditioner was great at night and the beds were so comfortable. Peter and the staff were easy to communicate with but all was so nice from the beginning, nothing was needed. This is a fabulous spot to spend a vacation in Antigua, highly recommended!

Nonsuch Bay is a Treat

My husband and our two adult children stayed here.Our stay was fabulous. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the sheer beauty of the surroundings—lush tropical gardens, stunning ocean views, and a tranquil ambiance that instantly made us feel at ease.The villa was spacious and offered plenty of room to relax and unwind. The private beach was pristine, with soft white sand and crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming or simply soaking up the sun. The pool was equally impressive.Dining at the on-site restaurant, Breeze, was great with a great selection of dishes.Peter made some great recommendations prior to our arrival. One being The Reef Restaurant . A definite highlight of our trip! Being picked up by jetty and greeted by the most hospitable staff was fabulous. We had an exquisite lunch in a beautiful setting.Another recommendation was Anele doing pre-arrival shopping and cooking us a meal. The meal she prepared for us was divine. We felt spoiled having her cook for us and then clean up. A lovely way to end our vacation.Another recommendation Peter made was a driver. We hired Vernon as Peter suggested. His van was very nice and he was on time and extremely knowledgeable. The WiFi works great. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The showers have great pressure. We can’t wait to return!

Beautiful Live/Work Escape with Hotel-Level Management

My husband, toddler and I stayed at this property for over a month as a safe place to live and work. This was our second time staying at Non-Such and decided to return because of how perfect it was for our little family. Peter's unit had plenty of space for both my husband and I to be working separately while our daughter played. The balcony is huge with outlets that were perfect to set-up a little outdoor work station. Our weekday routine was: Morning Swim (pool, non-such or a short drive to Half-Moon), Work, Lunch on the Patio, Work, Sunset Beach time, and Dinner on the Patio. It was so lovely to be able to watch the waves while we worked. Non-Such is a little farther than some of the other resorts, which is good for folks to know. However, we loved the location, how much space everything and everyone had, and how different it felt from our normal city life. Peter and Pascale were great and so helpful. Before our arrival they helped us coordinate car rental, groceries, and childcare - basically everything we needed to live comfortably. We'd highly recommend this stay. A few extra highlights: - there are darkening shades in the guestroom which were great for our daughter - the kitchen is full-size including the refrigerator and freezer - the washer and dryer are far from the bedrooms so easy to run loads during bedtime - plenty of spaces to gather with a full dining table inside and outside - internet fast enough to support 2 long video calls at once

Beautiful property, but a few issues on our stay

First of all, a beautiful development and apartment. Nice view overlooking Nonsuch Bay, and easy access to 3 nice pools. And Peter the owner was very responsive and helpful from the time of booking through our stay. The beaches on the property, and all nearby beaches (Half Moon Bay, etc), weren’t much of an option because of the incredible amounts of seaweed that have been overwhelming much of the Atlantic side of the island. Not anyone’s fault, but just a fact. So most days we’d drive to the Caribbean side (about 30-40 minutes) and enjoy the amazing beaches and calm, turquoise Caribbean waters. The main complaint with the apartment during our June stay was the fact that the air conditioner for the unit wasn’t working. The owner warned us of this a few weeks out, saying the AC was out and couldn’t be replaced until late July. They had added a few portable units to try to help, but they were essentially just fans blowing air but not cooling the air in the unit at all. This made our stay in the unit uncomfortably warm and sticky. All in all a nice property and nice people, but without AC in a humid time of the year it made it a tough vacation.

Great location if you like peace and tranquility. Near the wonderful Half Moon Bay beach, which we think is one of the best in Antigua. You definitely need a car if you are coming to Nonsuch as nearest town is 30 minutes away for groceries. Safe, secure beautiful resort.The villa was perfect and the host was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with both before the holiday and throughout our stay.Have no hesitation in recommending the house, host or resort.

Christmas in paradise

Beautifully furnished apartment with amazing views. A little out of the way, but perfect if you are looking for quiet relaxation. Car essential to visit some of the stunning 365 beaches Antigua has to offer. Ideal for 4 adults but can also accommodate children as well. Kitchen well equipped. Excellent air conditioning throughout and all mod cons.

Beautiful property in a beautiful island

This was our first time in Antigua and I wanted to stay at a nice property. I chose this unit because the listing pictures looked very nice and the price was incredibly good. Almost looked like too good to be true. The booking process was completely smooth and the communication with Peter (owner) and Pascale (property manager) was very smooth from the get go. They were always very nice and cordial, answered all my questions and gave me detailed information about everything I asked. When we arrived at the property we realized the pictures didn't do it justice. It is such an beautiful property overall but also this condo is impressively nice. Well maintained and spacious. They had everything perfectly ready for us. So much, we didn't really have to talk much at all after our arrival. The resort location is a bit remote and far from "the action" and renting a car is a MUST. Preferably a small SUV at least. Word of caution, when driving to the property for the 1st time, DO NOT use Google Maps or Waze as they would guide you through the old road to get to the resort, which would be impossible without a 4x4. Use Apple Maps instead, which will guide you through the paved road. Most of the roads are poorly lit, so driving at night could be stressful on the first few days until you familiarize with the routes. The island is spectacular and you will never run out of things to do. This resort is only 10 min away from Half Moon Bay, which not only is spectacular but it is perfect for relaxing. Any other beach is at least a 30-50 min drive. Recommend the beaches on the west side like Darkwood Beach (another favorite), Ffryes Beach, Jolly Beach and Coco Beach. The brand new restaurant in the resort, Rokuni, is worth the try. Delicious Asian food. Also recommend to try the pizza at Al Porto, in Jolly Harbour. It is the best! One of the highlights of our trip was the helicopter tour with Calvinair. It is well worth it and you can appreciate from the air all the magnificent beauty of the island. I cannot leave out mentioning how nice and welcoming the people from Antigua are. They are very proud of their island, as they should be, and also very welcoming and happy that you are visiting. I would definitely go back and will have Antigua amongst my favorite places in the Caribbean.

A great holiday!

We really enjoyed our stay, and Peter and his 'local team' made things very easy. Its a great apartment, very spacious and perfect for our family of four. The resort itself was very quiet, and obviously still "re-starting" after lockdown and the off-season. It's a lovely setting, but is quite remote so a car was a must from our perspective. A new restaurant is being opened shortly which will help in this regard. Overall we had a great holiday, and would stay here again if returning to Antigua.

The apartment is a home away from home

The apartment is a home away from home, with beautiful views and fantastic weather! Very high standards, comfortable beds, and overall great service. The resort it's based in, Non Such Bay, is stunning but it has changed a lot due to Covid and no longer offers sailing or basic services like a cafe/restaurant - this may reopen at some point. Currently therefore it is better suited for a relaxing and quiet self-catering holiday. The pools on site are great and the beach is always clean and comes with comfortable sunbeds. With a car hire nowhere on the island is more than 30-45minutes away though. You can book this apartment with confidence.

Perfect week in paradise

We stayed from March 5-15 2020. It is important to note that this was when the Covid-19 virus was becoming pandemic. The resort handles this with good communication and appropriate precautions including sanitizing and offers to bring guests to receive medical care if anyone felt ill. We felt safe and lucky to be here. Communication with Peter, the owner ,was excellent from the start and throughout our stay. The staff at nonesuch we’re also consistently friendly and helpful. We were welcomed by Anele, the housekeeper into the lovely, spotless and spacious apartment. The view is glorious. We enjoyed the amenities at the resort :pools, sitting by the beach, kayaking and sailing ( water sports by appt for a fee). We highly recommend a car so you have access to the rest of the beautiful island. We LOVE half moon bay beach and the delicious little restaurant Beach Bums. Other favorite activities were the hike to Shirley heights ( turner valley trail to the top carpenters trail back down) ending at Galleon beach for a swim, and a cold beer at the Cheeky Marlin then lunch in English harbor. You can also drive to the top and admission is included with admission to Nelson’s Dockyard. The midline trail from Nelson’s Dockyard is another great hike and it ends at Pigeon Beach. We then wandered a short way down the beach to Catherine’s and enjoyed a swim and brunch on the beach in lounge chairs.- paradise! The short drive and amazing landscape of Devils Bridge is paired beautifully with Long Beach and lunch or dinner at Mama Pasta on the beach! We loved having the beach chairs and umbrella from the condo in our trunk so we were always ready to relax on the beach- such a nice, extra amenity! We spent our arrival evening in st John so we could stockup at Epicurean- a fully stocked supermarket in the morning and drive out to nonesuch in the daylight. Anele will shop for you in advance of your arrival if you prefer. We did a midweek shop at Covent Garden in English Harbor( 30 minutes away) and a decent market. We enjoyed preparing meals in the fully stocked kitchen and eating on the deck. We also enjoyed a traditional Caribbean meal prepared by Anele, ( the charming and helpful housekeeper) and her aunt. She offers this as a special service and we encourage you to take advantage of this delicious treat. It was a magical vacation and we are already planning to return next year!
