Our stay at the property was amazing. Beautiful views very nice property and a lot of history and hiking. The property manager and the property owner were both great to talk to and very helpful. We will come back
The Keddie Wye House has a great view of the railroad junction and is tucked away in a beautiful location. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed.
Dramatic setting on Spanish Creek with the remarkable Keddie Trestle as the backdrop. Lots of great hikes nearby and the option of just hanging out at the property was always a definite consideration.
This is our 3rd time staying and not our last. Ember is a wonderful, responsive, caring host -- and the house is amazing. It's setting on the creek is beautiful and secluded, perfect for swimming and lounging around.
We had a great time… we love the town of Quincy… getting down to the river, was not as easy as I thought it was going to be… And neither was floating down the river in my inner tube. Barbecuing up on the deck and just enjoying the surroundings was just a real pleasure.
The property is beautiful and the sound of the river is calming. Watching the trains go by is a real experience. The sound and the feeling is very nostalgic. We hosted several meals with our local relatives and had a great time cooking and visiting.A little tough navigating the outdoor stairs for someone with mobility issues. All in all, a great place to stay and a wonderfully attentive host.
My husband and I had a wonderful time! This house was so cozy, and it had just about everything we needed. We loved spending our time on the deck with out Great Dane pup, watching the trains go by and listening to the river. Beautiful location and Ember was an amazing host!
We had an unforgettable family stay at your charming historical cabin near Quincy, our first time in Plumas County during a stormy winter week. The cabin exceeded expectations, was perfectly described, with great WiFi, a well-appointed kitchen and a large table for family meals, and 2 beautiful clawfoot tubs with wild river views. We really liked the commercial ovens! Just a short 7-10 minute drive into Quincy for any needed items, we enjoyed shopping and exploring the cute mountain town while bonding. We captured postcard-worthy photos we’ll treasure forever. The host Ember was incredibly helpful from booking to arrival, even delivering toilet paper with kindness and grace when we ran out. When we forgot my husband’s running vest, she refused our shipping account or label, going above and beyond to return it to us. We had the best experience and can’t wait to return in summer to play in the water—thank you for sharing this gem with our family!
Property was more beautiful than the pictures. Caretaker was a delight amd full of information. Rental has everything you need for an enjoyable experience. All the little touches add to the experience. Decks are wonderful to watch nature and enjoy the weather. Amazing experience for us all.
Loved our stay at this amazing property. We were very close to Quincy where we did several days of mountain bike and was wonderful to come back to such a well appointed and comfortable property after a long day of riding. I also REALLY enjoyed fly fishing Spanish Creek and hooked may beautiful rainbow trout, including couple of 12"'ers, just steps away from the front door. We're already thinking of coming back. The nearby train is quite the feature, and we enjoyed that too.

Thank you for such a wonderful review and you captured the spirit of a stay at the Keddie Wye House. I look forward to hosting you and friends again in this ideal spot for mountain biking aficionados!
This is a great location for fishing, swimming, gold panning and hiking. The home is comfortable with all the necessities for large groups. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace as it was raining, they provided plenty of wood to get through the stay.
The property has several outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the mountain air and views. There’s a fire pit and two decks over looking the River. The train came by often but it was a quaint feature adding to the mountain retreat. It’s easy to get to the River and several hiking trails.
The host was easy to communicate with and close by if something came up. We hope to stay again.
I came here for my bachelorette trip and was glad I did! The house feels like home almost. It’s quirky, cozy, has everything you need and more. Plenty of extra pillows/blankets/towels, you name it. All the streaming services were already logged in when we went, there weren’t any locked doors (which my nosey self appreciated). Plenty of books and lawn games. There’s so much to do, even just on the property. We loved hiking down the private creek side trail to our own swimming hole. I could have easily stayed a week. The host, Ember was super responsive to all of my questions. Check-in/out was a breeze. Oh and the train! Super cool being able to look out your window and see a train going by every once and awhile. The sound wasn’t an issue for us at night, I actually found it relaxing. No a/c but we were fine in the high 80 degree weather. The house is shaded so it stays relatively cool.
We enjoyed ourselves so much . The fishing was wonderful , we had everything we needed and more. The house was so special and unique. Can’t thank you enough for our wonderful stay.

It was my pleasure to host you and your family. And, yes! The fishing on this pristine and private stretch of river is terrific. Most of all it makes me happy that you chose Keddie Wye House for your family's get together. Do consider coming back, you'll be welcome.
.
Magical, Artistic, Peaceful, and serene. This is a beautiful piece of property along the river. A great amount of original, natural, and personal hand artistry in every nook and cranny was found in the home and along the property. The experience was far above my expectations.
We had the best time! Beautiful property, great morning hikes and days spent at the private swimming hole. We loved the train and enjoyed BBQing on the deck! We also love the many seating areas and enjoyed every inch of the grounds. Very pretty, very peaceful and we hope to come back!
I think the term "magical" is often overused. Not in this case. A pristinely maintained, well equipped, very clean home in an amazingly beautiful location. Very private on five acres. Access to the creek's pools via paths and steps. Several spacious decks over the river to relax and take in the views with Ospreys flying by.
The property is located close to the Keddie Wye train junction. If you are a. train fan this is a huge plus, if not you may have some issues with trains occasionally going by above. We thought it was really cool.
I'm somewhat reluctant give a deservedly great review as it might limit our chance of going back, because we can't wait to return. Hopefully we can soon.
