I don’t normally review unless my experience is top-tier… this is one of those times. Even as a group of 30 year old women, it was hard to find a booking to celebrate our friend getting married. But I’ve never dealt with a host like Max. Before I even booked with Max and the property for a weekend away, I was transparent in our plans and I had a million questions. Max IMMEDIATELY responded to every single one with grace and welcomed us with open arms at an extremely reasonable price. His response was within minutes throughout the entire process of our stay - before and during. The house is INCREDIBLE! It has EVERYTHING you could possibly think of that you don’t need to worry about bringing. Linens, towels, cleaning supplies - legit everything. The house felt like home away from home. Beds were super comfy, the backyard with the new deck is top notch and our favorite hang out spot, perfect location tucked away but still 15 minutes to Main Street. We couldn’t get the pilot flame on at one point for the main fireplace and he sent someone right away to fix it. It took just 5 minutes LOL.I could go on and on about how great our experience was. I already told the family I will be going back and booking again. This is my new vacation spot! Thank you Max for the hospitality and being awesome!!

I cannot recommend this property based on my experience. While this property is very nicely designed, decorated and has some nice amenities, it needs final finishing and better upkeep of the yard and backyard for welcoming guests without the guest needing to remove weeds in the patio, sweep up and relocate tools and materials out of sight. During our stay, we found mouse droppings inside the kitchen food pantry where food was stored, dealt with a broken main bathroom faucet, murky swimspa water, recorded a live roach in the kitchen and experienced minor housekeeping issues. We reported these sanitation concerns promptly and documented them with photos and a video.Because our large group had a planned gathering on Saturday relocating on short notice was not sadly not practical. Unfortunately, the host did not apologize, care, address or respond to the major concerns. We found his prior and final responses unprofessional and combative rather than focusing on resolving the issues. Pictures and a video don't lie, yet he chose to make baseless accusations to blur the deplorable conditions found. VRBO refunded the service fee and 120 with an apology as the host refused to even respond to VRBO. Reviews must be accurate accounts of one's stay. The app wouldn't allow uploaded photos although there's the capability. I encourage future guests to inspect the property carefully upon arrival and decide whether the condition meets their expectations.
