Our unit was clean and had the basic amenities we needed- soap, dish soap and coffee. It was very clean and well taken care of. We found the staff to be very helpful when we called with questions, but they hadn’t responded to our emails with the same questions. We loved being within biking distance to some restaurants and shops for breakfasts. We would definitely stay here again.

Sanibel Moorings is making a comeback!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the location on Sanibel, ocean view, dockside pool and parking. Andi was very responsive to every concern. The beach and pool were the highlight for our grandchildren. The unit itself was a spacious 3 bedroom that was a great fit for our family. However the furniture is tired, the carpets soiled and thin and both in need of replacement. In fact I did fall through one living room chair! All lower units are going to be brand new, beautifully furnished and totally updated. Our unit was an upper unit that definitely needs TLC to compete with these lower unit upgrades. Small things do make a difference so rusty coffee pots, lack of cookie sheets. A bathroom faucet that doesn’t work and a set of mixing bowls count. Despite these setbacks our family loves their vacation and created very fond memories.

Reviewer Comments: Sanibel Moorings is THE place to stay on the island and it was sooo good to be back!! Though still in the recovery process, our stay was exemplary. Were the grounds as beautiful... no, but they will return. Was there construction noise... surprisingly very little. Our condo was beautiful and spacious. The beach was simply nirvana. No complaints from this guest!! It was great to be home!

Nice Unit Overall, but Beware of Bees

Reviewer Comments: We cannot help the weather that plagued our visit, but the swarming bees (possibly african bees) that attacked us continually while attempting to unload were just dangerous. They lay in wait for whenever the door opened for several days...until finally the rain drove them away. Multiple stings on everyone: in hair, on arms, throat, above eye. There were certainly some maintenance issues in the unit: sinks not draining properly, an overhead fan not working, coffee maker rusty. As a hurricane victim myself, I understand the issues of rebuilding and frustrations of the past years. We were glad to to be able to enjoy Sanibel again for a few days.

It was so good to see the staff back and to find the Moorings in such good shape. It is mind-boggling to think about what the staff and workers have accomplished in such a short time. We stay at the Sanibel Moorings for 2 weeks every winter and have never been disappointed in any of the condos we've stayed in or the beauty of the landscape. Everything was great other than our a/c and electrical issues. However, the were managed quickly

Lovely Condo

Stayed at this beautiful condo for a few days with my children and grandchildren. Everyone had a great time. The gourmet kitchen has everything you might need and more, beds are comfortable, decor is lovely, and everything was clean. There’s even a cabinet stocked with all kinds of games and puzzles. The property is beautifully landscaped and conveniently located.
