Bowman's Landing is a unique and perfect place to stay for people who are in the area for adventures on the stunningly beautiful area rivers. Their cabins are basic and very clean. The cabins are air conditioned...which is important in July! There was ample parking room for our vehicle, our 16 foot boat, and our kayaks. The cabins have a full bath with hot water, an efficiency kitchen, and a small refrigerator as advertised. Also, there is a common area with a Keurig coffee maker and a full size refrigerator with a freezer...which came in handy for our ice blocks. Outside of our cabin there was a fire pit and a picnic table. The property has a couple of common cooking areas that are well equipped for those who would like to grill outside. There are a couple of floating docks right on the Santa Fe which we enjoyed each morning as we drank our coffee and watched the birds, deer, and fish go about their morning routines. We also were able to paddle directly to our cabin on our Santa Fe excursion day. The most surprising and helpful aspect of this location was the helpful on site staff with local expertise who provided excellent river guidance and can provide a shuttle service if needed. All in all, Bowman's Landing fills the needs of people who are serious about spending serious time on the water. We will be back! Bo and Pam

Clean Campground on the Sante Fe

Small utilitarian cabin at a quiet campground. Clean and well maintained. Staff on site very helpful and friendly. Clean bath house. Easy access for kayaks or swimming in the river. Bikes for use, dart board, walking path, tree swing, swimming dock. This is a campground, not a resort, keep that in mind and you'll enjoy it.

This remote cabin is okay for a short getaway. You can walk right down to the river and swim. The fishing dock is a bit far down from the cabins, but right next to the campsites. The AC is insufficient for the bedroom(it really only reaches the main area), but there is a fan. The beds are very hard so the nights sleep wasn’t great. Also the top bunk of the cabin could not have been cleaned because there was a strong ammonia/urine smell and a stain on the sheets. It was a bit late (around 10pm) when we discovered this, but we messaged the host and never got a reply. Also bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The water smells very much like sulfur when you take a shower.
