This newly built cabin is clean, majestic, and well decorated for a total feeling of being in the outdoors even while you are indoors. We are located in Island Park, Idaho which is a great place to stay for summer or winter fun.

We are right on the reservoir with a private boat dock for all your water fun. If you like boating, rafting, fishing, swimming, hiking, riding ATVs, or just enjoy beautiful scenery, you will love it here in the summer time.

For winter and snowmobiling activities, we are only minutes away from any trail-head going into West Yellowstone, or on the groomed trails of over 1000 miles of travel. It is perfect for snow lovers, and those who just want to relax and get away in the snow capped beauty of the forest without leaving the home! There is a hot tub to warm up after a cold ride.

There is satellite tv and wifi internet connection. Each bedroom is a suite and has an individual bathroom and walk in closets.

We provide all the kitchen supplies you could possibly need, clean beds, soaps, shampoo, conditioners, clean towels and bedding, and warmth. All you need to bring are your personal items, food, and sense of adventure.

We are 45 min. from West Yellowstone, 2.5 hours from Big Sky Ski Resort, 4 hours from Jackson Hole, Wy. 3 hours from Targhee Ski Resort, and minutes away from snowmobiling just outside the door, pulling inner tubes, (supplied by us) and cross country skiing on groomed trails from the cabin. Nearby is the Rendezvous Ski Trail system for Olympic and World Class trainers. Harriman State Park is 20 minutes away, offering groomed trails, and a myriad of other activities.

We love being at this cabin and know that your group will have a wonderful time here!

About Eric Koenig

We live in Idaho Falls and really have fun spending time at the cabin when it is not being enjoyed by others.

Eric Koenig purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Eric Koenig chose Idaho

We had this cabin built to house all of our family. Each room was built for our children and ourselves. We have enjoyed it fully and decided to share it with you!

What makes this cabin unique

We enjoy our family time at Amazing Daze. With so much to do and nature to enjoy, sometimes the best thing to do is just relax and be here.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thanks you! We had a ton of fun. Loved the docks so close to the cabin. This is the second time some of us have been here. Hope to be back. A wonderful place. Thanks!

Breathtaking Home

  • 5 of 5

Wow! Amazing Daze is a perfect set of words to describe this beautiful home. I chose to use the word home over house because this residency feels like a home. A luxury home. It had all the household amenities (soap, spices, paper towels, etc) one would need, short of food. You can tell a lot of love went not only into building this home which can be seen in the cabinets, the trex deck, the counter tops, the windows, the doors, the heating and cooling system but also in the furnishings of this home. Upgraded carpet, the comfy leather couches even down to the mattresses and lines selected. Someone put a lot of thought into creating a luxury retreat for any family that stays here. Even if you never left the home to walk 30 feet down to the lake you wouldn't be disappointed in your vacation. This is a wonderful home. And we look forward to coming back to Island Park in the near future and staying at this home again.

Wonderful place!

  • 4 of 5

Our extended family of 20 stayed comfortably at the cabin - we loved the large living space upstairs where we could all gather, eat, play games, watch tv, and just socialize. We had 5 couples with their families and it was nice that we each had a private space (a bedroom with a bathroom) where we could put our things and find a quiet moment if necessary. :) We had several teenagers that loved the pool table and the hot tub. The hot tub was clean and well maintained, we definitely put it to good use. The pictures and info on the listing are accurate and the owner was very easy to work with.

The private dock was wonderful for taking off in our 3 canoes and 3 paddle boards, and inner tubes at the cabin were nice to have also. The water was low at the time, so not great for swimming but still a lot of fun. The deck space around the cabin was wonderful! We loved sitting out by the fireplace in the evening. There are several spaces to gather in different groups. We even used the grill one evening - it was clean and easy to use. The view from the lower patio is awesome, we enjoyed watching the water activities and taking in the beautiful scenery from there.

The kitchen was very nice and spacious. We cooked together and ate meals together - there was plenty of room for all of us to gather. There is an extra fridge in the garage which was great. It would have been nice to have the pantry cleared of food before we arrived so that we had room for all of our stuff, but we just moved things aside and it worked out well.

Overall the experience was wonderful! The only concerns were relatively small - when we arrived our code for the front door didn't work, there were a few items found under furniture (left from previous guests), and the towels were sour so we had to use our own and wash the others before use. The washer and dryer were large and new, it would have been nice to have another set to use as we were required to wash towels before we left.

We saw plenty of wildlife which was fun - deer, elk, moose, pelicans, and even a bald eagle that landed on a tree near the lower patio. We went to West Yellowstone one evening and attended a play at the Playmill, always a favorite activity of ours. We could have gone into Yellowstone one day, but we just wanted to enjoy the time together in the water and at the cabin!

The house itself and surrounding area were amazing, we would definitely stay there again!

Quality Home Made Our Vacation Great

  • 5 of 5

We rented this place for our family reunion and we needed to sleep 22. We have stayed at other places, but this beautiful home tops them all. The minute we drove up to it, we knew it was going to be wonderful. It is very spacious and furnished beautifully. There is great outdoor space for grilling, playing games, and visiting. We had our own access to Island Park Dam and rented in the town of Island Park both a boat and jet ski. We were able to spread out and everyone was very comfortable. There is a pool table and poker table for added entertainment. The kitchen is well equiped and there were only a few items that we were missing. The pantry was large and allowed us to get all of our cooking "stuff" out of the way. Eric was delightful to work with and answered his email very quickly and did everything we needed to make our stay amazing. We hope to go back because in a couple of years because the house made the reunion extra special!!

Gorgeous Setting, activities for everyone, and great place to relax

  • 5 of 5

We just spent 3 nights in this home with a group of 20 (3 little kids) and it was comfortable and accommodating for everyone. We have stayed in 5 different reunion places throughout the years and this was just perfect! Lots of room for games, conversation, cooking, time in the hot tub, s'mores around the fire, lovely view from the deck, and playing in the water! So much fun a too little time! Next time we will stay longer! Thank you for a wonderful reunion weekend!

Outstanding stay in Idaho

  • 5 of 5

We rented two homes for 11 couples to come to Idaho and fish the world famous Henry's Fork. This home was perfect. Six couples were housed here in the lap of luxury. We used this as the "supper" house for the entire group. There is a wonderful platform overlooking the lake that is perfect for a cocktail party at sunset. We arranged for a professional caterer - Seasonal Montana's Melissa Harrison and her two assistants Lindsey and Lydia - to prepare appetizers and supper the four nights we were there. It could not have been better. All 11 couples ate outside on the back porch each night. This is the best place on the Reservoir. It is close to the fly fishing shops so it is easy to meet your guide in the morning. I would whole-heartedly recommend this home.
