This luxurious studio (45 m2 / 484 sq ft ) is situated on the 8th floor on the Avenue de Choisy, in the 13th arrondissement. It is very bright, facing south-west, no vis-à-vis, giving you a large view on the Rue Caillaux and a small garden. Cooling Unit available in Sommer. Also behind the building there is a small garden, very calm, where one can relax in peace and additionally, only 2 blocks away, the beautiful Square de Choisy

The entry is protected by a security system with access code and a guardian.

- The studio has been completely renovated in Summer 2011, with new double-glass windows, new floor in the kitchen area and new modern and efficient kitchen.

- Apartment faces South-West - No vis-à-vis

- You enter in a hall with 2 large closets.

- In the kitchen you will find a dish-washer, cooktop, refrigerator, freezer (4,5 Lt), electric kettle, coffee machine, I-Home radio and MP3 player, all the appliances are brand new.

- The half separate living room/bedroom area has a large sofa with table, next to it a queen size bed.

Choisy wonderful

A great location and very pleasant place to stay in. Outlook to trees and open space was lovely. You can even see the top of the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Public transport a short walk away and terrific food stores and restaurants nearby. Thankyou.

Just like home

This small apartment was furnished and organized with real thought. Beautiful decoratively and comfortable because of the thought that went into setting it up. Would happily stay there for a month.

Lovely spot in Paris's Chinatown

Recommended if you love Asian food. It's convenient to the tram and three metro stations (at least). Safe and secure building. Quiet. I had issues with the shower water temperature and toilet, but they were largely resolved before I left.

Ab fab!

We had a fabulous stay at Jocelyn's home. We were comfortable and wanted for nothing. The bonus of the location is that we could retreat off the tourist areas but at the same time we had easy access via efficient and easy to use transport links. Nearby was a great Thai restaurant / takeaway ,Thai- Vien, which serves gorgeous food. We were cosy comfy and slept very well on a very comfortable bed! We had plenty of hot water and the area felt very safe. Thank you Jocelyn!

Great place and great location!

This studio is a perfect place for two to hang out and enjoy Paris. The 13th arrondissemont is a nice neighborhood, and you have everything you need in walking distance. The Metro stop is only 2 blocks away, with easy access to all of the rest of the city. The apartment is clean, and well stocked with everything in the kitchen you might need. Jocelyn is very sweet and quick to respond to messages. I would definitely stay here again, and plan to! Thank you!!

Great Paris Option

Convenient location, close to two metro lines that directly serve many popular tourist attractions. Multiple grocery options within easy walking distance. Well set-up for cooking, though be aware there is no oven—four-burner stove and microwave only. Studio-apartment setup (i.e., no separate bedroom), which might be an issue for some. Technically there is both a washer and a dryer, but it’s a single unit and the dry function isn’t very efficient. Large drying rack provided, however, which works fine if you’re willing to plan ahead a little :-). Overall, we were very happy here for six weeks, and the host (Jocelyne) could not have been nicer or more helpful. Highly recommend!

Very Disappointed - Advertised with AC, but none available

Overall a nice place but their add clearly stated Air Conditioning as an available feature. It is even listed in the documents available in the suite, BUT NO AC provided. Temperatures were in the high twenties every day and the single fan provided did not do the job.

Great apt in 13th.

Great Vrbo. And I know because I was a Vrbo host for 3 years. A studio—- but it felt like a one bedroom because wall separation bath and kitchen. Fabulous area w grocery ( Aldi) across st and a pharmacy. No problem sleeping. Very quite except one nite the lightening n thunder woke me up. Reminder— most Paris properties have no AC like America. This had a portable unit that was helpful. Washing machine, no dryer but things dried over night with a dryer stand. Cute neighbor park a block away. Walking casually it took me 13 min to metro. 3-4 pastry shops on this walk. - suburb! Kitchen was well prepared as was bathroom and it has a tub! I enjoyed my stay! Would stay again.

We spent one week in this very clean and comfortable studio/apartment that had everything we needed. The photos give a very true picture of the studio and the views. The queen size bed is very comfortable. It is very light and you have good views, even if you do not see any of the famous buildings. It felt good to come back after a day "downtown". The air felt cleaner and it was quieter. The owner was very helpful and easy to get hold of. Most of the time we used the Maison Blanche Metro station on Ave.d'Italie. From there we could walk to Monoprix on the way home or pass the smaller grocery store on Rue Cailaux. The apartment is located right in front of you when you get to Ave.de Choisy. To get to C.de Gaulle Airport we used the #7 Metro from Maison Blanche to the Opera and then the Roissy Bus. The bus stop is located on the other side of the Opera building after you exit the Metro.

Very surprised by the construction noise

I am writing this review with a heavy heart, because Jocelyne seemed to be a very good host based on previous (but older) reviews. Our communication prior to our stay was very clear and detailed. The part that really surprised us was that we were not informed of the VERY, VERY LOUD construction that was taking place on the adjoining wall. It was not possible to have a conversation, without shouting, while that was going on. Additionally, “amenities” were lacking. There were no pillow cases and the only sheet available, that I used on the futon, had a musty smell. Also lacking was toilet paper. There was a very small amount left on the only roll that was in the studio. You supplied a coffee pot, but no coffee. You listed the washer/dryer as an amenity, but suggested that we go to the laundromat. There were no instructions for the television, so we didn’t watch it. The internet, however, was very good. The neighborhood was fine, very residential, and fairly close to a metro station several blocks away.

Safe, Quiet, Clean, Comfortable Loft Near Transportation - Near Perfect!

Everything you truly need to enjoy a vacation with your spouse abroad. I never once felt unsafe in the unit, building or neighborhood. Even if I were alone, I would’ve felt safe. It was great being away from touristy spots. I didn’t realize this until we visited them. I couldn’t wait to get back to quiet neighborhoods. We ended up spending most of our time in this neighborhood and one other non tourist neighborhood. Transportation (bus, metro, tram and even electric scooter rentals were steps away. Amazing bakery, grocery and restaurants also steps away. Everything was just easy and what you need while on vacation. I never looked at anything in the loft and felt it wasn’t clean, and I’m picky. I would happily rent this unit again. Only recommendations I have and solely because I feel feedback is appreciated if someone desires constant improvement, and this again I’d stay there again without these updates are: 1) a larger A/C unit. We had an abnormally hot week and even though we kept the automatic shade and curtains drawn the A/C had to run nonstop to try and cool the loft. We limited clothes drying, didn’t use the oven, and turned off lights not in use to try and help keep it cool. We did end up putting the floor fan in front of the A/C unit to help push the cool air into the living/bedroom area and that helped a lot. However, we didn’t find the fan until the last two days of our stay. 2) less is more - the plants and lamps are nice but take up a lot of room in the loft. We loved the catch trays you had on the tables and dresser, they did come in handy but I felt I was running into all the floor lamps and squeezing between them and the plants to get to outlets or the automatic shades button.

Great room with nice neighbors

The apartment is located within a walking distance from Maison Blanche (metro #7) and Porte de Choisy (metro #7 and tram #3) stations and thus is convenient to reach Paris center and airports/train stations even with large luggages. Supermarkets, a big shopping mall, restaurants are in the neighbor which is also nice. The owner is very helpful, and we have not had any inconvenience at all. The room is located in the 8th floor and has a nice view and bright. You can feel like you are living in Paris!

Lovely Apartment!

The apartment is very nice, clean with very modern amenities and just a five minutes walking to the metro. It accommodates a party of four nicely. It is located in the Chinatown district and if you like Asian food you are well served. We had the best Pho and Chinese food. The area is safe and quite beautiful. We were in Paris to celebrate my son’s 15th birthday and I wanted it to be very memorable. I love Paris and it was my son’s first time there. The place suited our needs and the owner of the place is nice and helpful if you need anything. She has lots of suggestions on places to see and how to get around. In all, the apartment was perfect for us. I highly recommend it on your next visit to Paris.

Clean, spacious and conveniently located...

I've stayed in this apartment on 4 or 5 different occasions now. For me, when traveling all the way from the US, it's very important that I can trust that the apartment will be ready when I arrive - and it always is. Also, it is very close to both Maison Blanche & Porte de Choisy metro stations. There is also a Sunday market on Avenue d'Italie which is right next to the Maison Blanche station. I've stayed in the apartment by myself, but I believe it could comfortably accommodate 3 - 4 people.

Sejour très agreable

Je n'ai pas rencontré Jocelyn, mais nos échanges était très bien et constructifs (instructions, directions à prendre, etc..). Elle m'a même laissé de la crème glacée au chocolat dans le frigo. Quelle bonne surprise et quelle gentillesse!! L'appartement correspond aux photos sur le site. C’était très propre, super bien organisé et très chouette aussi ! Si vous êtes une fille comme moi, vous allez adorer le miroir dans sa salle de bain :) !! Les voisins sont calmes. Lorsque vous sortez de l'immeuble, tout est disponible à proximité (restaurants, supermarchés, tabacs, pharmacie, etc.) Comme moi même, le quartier est Asiatique et c'était très bien pour moi. Le Métro et le tram sont aussi à une minute à pieds du lieu. J'ai resté deux semaines à son appartement. Je recommande cet appartement sans aucune hésitation.

Nice apartment

The apt. was just as described - very nice, small, clean and very bright and cheerful. It was in Chinatown and somewhat removed from the sights of Paris. The Metro was a 5 minute walk but it took time to learn our way and the routes We had several difficulties getting the apt. key and never did master how to open the door correctly. Our biggest problem was that we didn't speak much French. If we ever rent an apt. again, we will be sure that there is an on-site manager or contact for help - especially if we don't speak the language. Jocelyne tried to be very helpful but we needed someone on site. We also had some difficulty operating the washing machine/dryer. The bed was very comfortable and the shower also was very good.

Truly a hidden gem

This was my first unguided trip to Paris. There were 2 adults in the party. Renting this apartment was the best decision I made. First off, the pictures truly represent the apartment. It is cozy and perfect for 2-3. ( 4 people is pushing it.) The absolute best part about this place is that it is extremely clean ( no weird smells, no mold, no dust, no pests). I am very particular about smells and cleanliness. Just to give you an example, I smell and inspect all hotel sheets and pillows before I sleep. The linens and towels were standard and very clean. Other highlights: 1. very convenient and safe location. a. less than 5 minute walk to metro b. great restaurants nearby c. 3 awesome bakeries within 2-5 walk 2. far enough from the " craziness." After walking around for 8 plus hours with so much stimulation, its nice to go home and relax. 3. Jocelyne, the owner, is extremely responsive and pleasant to work with. 4. Internet worked great The only bad thing, if one could call it, was that the cable tv did not work during my entire week there, despite hard resets, turning everything off. Overall I would definitely consider staying here again!

Very nice place

This apartment is very convenient and thoughtfully equipped by the owner to meet every need of the traveller. Neat, clean and compact, the place has adequate storage with cupboards and drawers. The Wi-Fi signal is very strong and good. We especially found the iron and iron board very useful. The apartment sleeps 4 comfortably and will be really convenient for 2 adults & 2 children. The apartment is located just 5 minutes walk away from the Metro station on Line 7. (Porte de Choissy) This line is very convenient to change trains and visit all parts of Paris. There is an EXO store right below & a big super market 5 minutes away. There is even a MonoPrix within 10 minutes walk. Don't miss the bakery just across the apartment road on the right, near the traffic light. You get the most delicious French loaves and croissants there! But you must go early or stock runs out!! The apartment is in a very nice building and safe and secure. Also, the Gare de Lyon station is near and reachable by taxi within 10 minutes, in case of any European travel plans. I was very happy with my stay and would definitely consider staying there again if the opportunity arises.

comfortable stay

The room is clean and spacious for one people. I like cleaning lady come to clean up every Tuesday afternoon. It is just like hotel house keeping service. I do not have to clean up. The location is good and center of Paris China town. I really enjoyed parade and lion mask dancing in the Chinese happy new years days. I also liked to enjoy shopping at Marche at 5 minute walking distance in the morning on every Thursday and Sunday. There are a lot of stores selling fruits, vegetables, fishes, sausages, bread, cakes, cheese, chicken and juice. They are fresh and cheaper than supermarket. I would like to come back for my next visit.

La Maga

I've lived a really nice experience in Paris. The apartement was very nice and confortable. It is fully equipped. All the machines worked well. I strongly recommend rent this apartement, it's easy to arrive from both airports, and its location is good with a really nice neibourghood called " butte aux cailles" near it.

Why they chose this property

I bought this place because it is incredibly bright. Situated on the 8th floor we have a great view. (often in Paris streets are narrow and the view is limited). From the window, we see the Stade Charlety, and 4 stations away with the tramway we are in the wonderful Parc de Monsouris. It is not in the very center of Paris but 6 minutes away to 2 metro stations, bus no 47 that take you to the center in 20 minutes.

In 2001, Robert, my husband and I moved to the Washington Area, where he got a position. Until March 2011 we rented it to an elderly lady. Summer 2011 we renovated completely and furnished it with modern appliances and furniture. As we were still working in Maryland, it was free a part of the years. 2017 I came back to France and now I live in this apartment. I continue to rent it when I travel.



What makes this property unique

I love the fresh market on avenue d’Italie, (7 mns walk), on Thursdays and Sundays morning. Also we have several supermarkets and numerous restaurants all all around.
Also, when I am in Paris, I am very often alone and I don’t have any problem to come home late at night from the Maison Blanche metro station.

On Sundays morning, I love to take a walk to the François Mitterand bibliotheque’s area. There, I go to the MK2 movies theather. There are many large, wonderful and confortable theaters. The matinee tickets are only 6 Euros, then I go to have lunch around or walk along the Seine. When the weather is not good, I take the newest metro line number 14, and in a few minutes I am in Paris center, or I can stop at Bercy and have lunch in the “Bercy Village” area, not well known by tourists.
