Ferme d'eau salée de 3 chambres. Vues spectaculaires sur l'océan avec des champs vallonnés, des vergers et des sentiers menant à votre propre plage de sable privée. Profitez du cadre naturel paisible qui vous entoure. Pygargues à tête blanche planant, pêche au balbuzard pêcheur, cerfs du matin, phoques, oiseaux migrateurs du littoral et champs de fleurs sauvages et de bleuets. Situé au cœur du «vrai» dans l'est du Maine, comme nous nous en souvenons.
Récemment rénové et meublé avec attrait rustique avec 3 chambres, 2 salles de bain avec cuisine dans la salle à manger, salle à manger, salon, bibliothèque, vérandas avant et arrière, terrasse, grill, etc. La région de Downeast est spectaculaire avec de nombreuses randonnées audacieuses sur la côte, le kayak, les terrains de golf, les restaurants, la navigation de plaisance, la pêche, l'île Campobello, l'observation des baleines, l'Acadie, Bar Harbor, etc., tous facilement accessibles.

Great stay in Downeast, Maine

We loved our stay at Katie Dove Beach Farm. We spent the days hiking the many coastal trails in the area and came home to lovely sunsets and walks on the beach. The farmhouse was well equipped, very clean, and the owners very willing to help with our needs. Excellent stay!

Hosts are extremely responsive to help and requests!The house was immaculate, the beach is awesome with a cache of sea glass EVERY day- YippeeThis location was located in the exact middle of everywhere we wanted to visit. Cutler hiking trails are amazing, local food and grocery stores close by. Jasper beach, Rogue Bluffs, etc.Stay- you wont be disappointed...

Gorgeous location, wonderful hosts!

We had a wonderful time at Peter and Cindy’s home. It was meticulously clean, the house functioned perfectly and was full of character. Excellent communication and super responsive hosts. It was also the best stocked kitchen I have ever used at a rental, which made me so happy as we love to cook! Thank you for a beautiful stay for our family!

Peaceful Respite

The Katie Dove Beach Farm is an incredibly special place. It was the perfect place for a homebase while exploring the trails and towns downeast. I'll definitely be back! So many details make the stay more than could have expected. Incredible bird life, fireflies, the epic tides. The home has a nicely equipped kitchen and the view from the porch and deck are so lovely. Thank you Peter and Cindy!

Can't say enough good about this property or the owners. Peter and Cindy are fantastic. Great communication, made sure we had everything we needed (we did!). Beautifully maintained, quiet, clean property on 5 acres with a path to the beach. Great place to relax and unwind. Can't wait to go back.

Perfect

The property is truely special. Amazing views, multiple spots to explore, culminating to a sandy private beach that is larger than a lot of public ones. The house itself is comfortable with its own personality that encourages you to slow down, read a book, look at the ocean, play some monopoly. It's a wonderful spot to spend time.

This property has everything we were looking for. Out in the country with no close neighbors. The property was very clean. Peter and Cindy stopped by to introduce themselves. They were very friendly. The best part was the views of Holmes Bay were wonderful when the fog was gone.

Total happiness

This house is very well maintained and furnished! The location, 2 steps from a private beach, is fantastic and the house itself is very enjoyable for a family of 6. The kids had a great time running through the grass labyrinth leading to the beach. The area is full of discoveries : sceneries, fishermen villages, delicacies, beaches, crafts, seafood, blueberries, etc. The owners are very nice and responsive. We had a great time!

Ultimate Downeast Maine Property

This is an absolutely amazing property. First and foremost, the property owner, Peter, is an amazing host. He ensured that we were comfortable and was quick to answer any questions that we had and make suggestions. Second, the location is perfect. You are literally an hour or less from all downeast Maine attractions. Third, the rental is immaculate and and well cared for. You will be comfortable after a long day of exploring. To sum it all up, this place is absolutely perfect if you are wanting to unplug and explore downeast Maine.

Everything you could want to relax

We had an absolutely wonderful experience here. The house was clean and comfortable and the owners were so thoughtful and accommodating to our family. We ended up getting in late and they turned the light on for us and came by the next day to give our kiddos beach toys (which were a huge hit). For a family to vacation, it can sometimes be a bit stressful, but I was happy to let the kids run around outside and just chill the rest of the time at the house and down by the beach. We commented as we left that it didn’t even feel like we needed a vacation from our vacation.

Down East Experience...

The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming at Katy Dove Beach Farm providing easy directions, a history of the land and recommendations to a favorite hike not on the maps. Western Head Trail met our coastal hike imaginations, it was a stunning trail! We enjoyed the setting of the back porch with the view of the bay and found some comfort in this older farm. I’m certain Peter will have resolved the smell issue of water for his next arrival. Thank you for our down east experience Peter and Cindy.

Guests arrived late in the season where hot and cold water had not been used in a while. New hot water heaters are known to contribute also. Guests were great but they were only here for a couple nights and the weather was abnormally cloudy for this time of year. This may have contributed to the three star rating.?

Comfortable home with great view!

House has everything you need, with a very well equipped kitchen. Enjoyed the bay view and strolls on the beach. Supermarket and restaurants are a short drive away in Machias, but we also enjoyed cooking on the gas grill. We did a day trip to Campobello which was great. Many amazing areas to hike just a short drive away. Overall a very enjoyable stay!

Rural charm with expansive ocean view!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Katie Dove Beach Farm. Open fields with wild flowers, blueberries and veggie garden roll downhill to a private beach on Holmes Bay. Lovely home with plenty of space, well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Kayaking amidst osprey, eagles and seals. Nearby hikes with splendid views. Gracious hospitality offered by hosts Peter & Cindy. A wonderful getaway!

we are the owners Peter and Cindy enjoying a fall day on the beach at the Kate Dove Beach Farm. Libby joined us for the day who lives next door to us in Machiasport which is just across the bay.

We are located in the heart of Down East Maine where you can vacation and relax without all the traffic, commercialization, and over priced lodging and dining you find south of here. You often hear the saying, "the way life should be" or "the way we remember Maine" applies to this part of Maine perfectly.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The most picturesque lobster and fishing village on the East Coast is Cutler Maine and just minutes away. A must see is Jasper Beach, one of two beaches in the world with this type of polished rock formations. You are in the heart of many scenic hiking trails. Historic Burnam Tavern and Fort Obrien will introduce you to the real history of the first Naval battle of the American Revolution also called The "Lexington of the Sea. " Visit nearby Canada for a day and tour President Roosevelt's summer getaway on Campabello Island. We will have many brochures and additional information available on other activities at the Katie Dove when you arrive.
