About Leslie Winn
We are David and Leslie Winn and we live in Lago Vista, Texas outside of Austin. Our children are Ryan and Natalie, Jonathan, and Hunter and grand daughter Vivian. We fell in love with the Sealedges 20 years ago and spend as much time as we can there every summer.
Leslie Winn purchased this Cottage in 2000
Why Leslie Winn chose Cutler
We feel that this is a very special place….a sanctuary in which to feel closer to God and rejoice in the beauty of the world He created for us.
What makes this Cottage unique
Our favorite time at Sealedges is spent with family and friends hiking the rock ledges, eating lobster at the Puffin Pavilion and star gazing at night. We love the privacy of the property. Long walks up the quiet neighboring roads end at the old pre Civil War Cutler Cemetery. Animal sitings are another past time as well as trips around the area visiting the local attractions. Our children say they love coming to Maine-it's beautiful, it's quiet and it is miles away from the stress of home.

Serenity and Seclusion by the Sea!
This was my first stay at this property and I can say that it won't be my last!!
I had gazed longingly at the pictures in the listing for 2 months before, but when I arrived, I was even more awestruck!
I immediately relaxed, the cottage was immediately comfortable and I fell immediately in love. The entire property is like having your own private state park to wander in and explore. The ocean views are stunning and the beautiful trails give you plenty of adventure and exercise.
My all time favorite spot was sitting on the deck of the pavilion and watching the seals float around lazily in front of the island. A few bald eagles would soar in and land on the island for a bit. Hundreds of dragonflies darted about in an acrobatic flurry of activity,
an airshow like no other. The weather was perfectly pleasant,
sunny and in the 70's and I was perfectly happy not leaving the property at all!
This is bliss!
The only disappointing thing was having to leave such a wondrous place. But I hope to return............
Until then, I will gaze longingly at all the photos I now have of a very special place in my memory and my heart.
The Perfect Place!
Nice people, charming house, spectacular property to explore with many hiking trails -- perfect!
The Perfect Adventure for an Outdoor Family
Our week at Sea Ledges was a little piece of heaven for our family. The cottage was clean and comfortable and the property was beautiful, with endless opportunities to explore the wild outdoors. We only left twice for a few hours, including once for a whale watch out of Lubec (also incredible), and we still couldn't get enough. We hiked, climbed on the rocks by the water, explored tide pools, picked wild blueberries, stargazed at night, flew a kite, watched the wildlife, and so much more. We made so many fun memories together that will last a life time. Our four boys didn't want to leave, and we sure hope to be back again someday soon! Thank you for sharing Sea Ledges with us!
The Sea Ledges house was charming and very clean - we really enjoyed relaxing in the screened in porch and at the well-lit kitchen table. We love cooking most of our own meals on vacation and the kitchen had pretty much every utensil, tool, pot, pan, and bowl imaginable. Cooking a bunch of lobster was a breeze. The grill just outside the porch worked well and was easy to use too. We slept very well each night on comfortable beds, in wonderfully cool August temperatures, to the distant sound of the ocean (and occasional seal!). We were delighted at how kid-friendly the Sea Ledges home was too. There were not many knick-knacks or ornaments that our three and six year old could knock over and break. The irony of all this is that we spent very little time in the house - the property it's on is stunning and we spent about three of our seven days in Cutler exploring it. The seaside and forested trails on the property are glorious and your own - they are marked too, and the occasional surprise picnic table appears in perfect spots for a family meal if you're smart and bring one along. We delighted in many a family lunch overlooking the ocean in complete isolation. Bringing along rain boots and jackets proved smart as some of our days were cool and foggy and it made for excellent hiking along the lush forested floor and rocky beachfront. It was also the perfect spot for our bikes as our kids are just learning to ride and the short private road and a few suitable side trails were just enough to get some good short practice in (we are in better shape today due to some of the short steep inclines). Another highlight were all the fresh blueberries we picked on property and ate along with anything we could throw them in back at home.
Day trips to Campobello Island in Canada, St. Andrews by the Sea, and several beaches closer to the home were easy (and quite different from one another).
I could go on, but will simply end by highly recommending this property.
The Sea Ledges
We had a wonderful stay at the Sea Ledges property in Cutler, Maine. Words cannot describe the beautiful scenery. We enjoyed sitting in the front porch watching the lobster boats in the morning, followed by a daily hike to the pavilion to scout out treasures washed ashore from the high tide. We also found that the Sea Ledges is an excellent home base to take day trips to Machias, Eastport, Bangor and Bar Harbor. The property we very clean and we felt very comfortable. I highly recommend a stay at the Sea Ledges - it’s a hidden jewel.
