Great location, very clean, comfortable bed and sofa, well stocked kitchen, host was very communicative. I will definitley stay hear again. Great value.
This was a last minute booking and the host was very responsive and welcoming. It was very clean, and comfortable. I wish there had been a guest book with TV operating instructions and local places that delivered and that Harris Teeter (grocery store) was 1/2 a block away. Overall lovely last minute find.
Host was quick in his responses and very helpful; truly cared about the quality of our experience. Location is great; a few minutes' walk from the Village (formerly Cameron Vill.) and 5-7 min drive to downtown Raleigh. Wade Avenue easily accessible but the neighborhood was quiet; no traffic noise. Pretty spacious for a 1-bedroom unit, and nice to have a designated parking space 50 feet from the door. Large TVs in living room and bedroom, and all appliances in very good condition. Air conditioner worked well, even on July days around 100 F.
We had lived in these apartments (now condos) when my husband was a student at NCSU in 1970-1973. We love to stay in these now condos when we return to Raleigh to visit family in the area. Chip has done a nice renovation on the condo but the outside still retains the 70's vibe. It's a great location for walking to the Village with lots of restaurants, shops and grocery stores. About a 15 minute walk to campus. A nice comfortable home away from home without being crammed in a hotel room. We appreciated the opportunity.to stay here and will return.
We stayed at this property for a month. We think probably it would be a better place for shorter overnight/1-2 night stays. The kitchen is very well equipped but it is very small making cooking hard. The property could do with a big update as the appliances are very old. I was nervous using the oven due to its age. Some of the furnishings in the living area are clearly old and one of the cushions even appeared a bit mouldy. The bedroom was great with good bedding and bed, and great wardrobe and drawer spaces, but there was a fair bit of clutter in the wardrobes that could be cleared out. The bathroom is fine albiet a bit dated. Chip the owner was kind and responsive. We did have some issues with access to the property due to construction and it would have been helpful to know about the key access on the front door at the start of our stay. As it would have made things a lot easier. Think this is something worth including in the VRBO description. Location is ideal and is definitely the selling point of this property. Walking distance to the Village district with plenty of bars, restaurants and shopping. It is also only minutes drives from downtown Raleigh. Hence our opinion that for a couple nights stay this would be an ideal choice for someone. Especially if you were not relying on eating in a lot.
