College Move out in Orangeburg

We needed a place to stay while we moved our daughter out of school. This home was located about 17 from the school so the location was perfect. There was just enough space for us and it was a very comfortable stay.

Overall it was good. Only complaint is that it was only 1 television in the living room of the entire 3 bedroom house. Loved the water pressure of the shower it was AWESOME!!

The property was very clean. It is an older home and there was a smell in there when we arrived. We sprayed Lysol to try to get rid of the smell but it didn’t work. Probably just needs to be aired out. The master bedroom ceiling fan doesn’t work and the master bathroom shower head wasn’t properly working. Overall our stay was pleasant.

From booking to departure was pretty flawless. The house was clean, smelled good, and was cool inside. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. Roberta was so polite and was able to assist and accommodate my request for an extended stay. Great House

It was clean. The mattress and pillows need to be replaced.There is some maintenance needed on the house. The windows are basically paper thin, you could hear everything from outside.

The one star ratings are just based on the fact that I did not check in, but I was charged the full amount for a stay. I'd like a refund or a stay can be booked for the future and an accurate assessment with ratings from actually experiencing a stay at the property.

Number of beds did not match listing

When we made the reservation, the listing said that this house sleeps seven.When we arrived, there was two queen beds, one full bed and a couch. There was four bedrooms, but one of them no longer had a bed in it. Thankfully, we ended up only having six people, one of which was a young teenager who didn’t mind sleeping on the couch.

Reason for not staying

Did not stay at this property as I was concerned about the crime rate. Being from out of state I was not aware the area was this bad. I pulled up the crime rate map after receiving the address and was very concerned. Even though I had booked just the day before, when cancelled the host kept all the money with the exception of the cleaning fee.

False review. You contacted us the day before your check in date. You claimed you researched the address but Vrbo does not send out the address to the guest until the day of. You wanted to cancel and I explained to you that this property has a firm policy on cancellation especially the day before. Which was shown to you before you booked. We didn’t have to refund you back the cleaning fee but we did.

Nice clean comfortable home

The house is great. My only issue was that I arrived at night and had a very hard time finding it. The GPS got a little confused when we got close. It’s very dark out there and the house numbers are difficult to see. There is no mailbox in front and the only house numbers are difficult to see. I had to stop at a house and ask if they knew which was the rental.

No Mercy Owner

My husband and were unable to stay. He was rushed to the hospital the day before unexpectantly. I messaged the owner asking to cancel and asked for a refund even though I knew the policy was no refund. We had reserved on Friday for a Sunday check-in and I was messaging Saturday early morning. I too am a VRBO owner and have shown mercy for an unexpected emergency. However the owner was delayed in any response and eventually stop communicating. The "property manager" responded once saying they would have to check with the group but could only offer a credit for a future stay. No response from that point forward. Unfortunately I have never nor will be in that area again. We were coming to watch my graduating college son play his last golf tournament. Guest Beware!

This property has a firm policy when it comes to cancellations. We offered you credit on any future stays and you said no. We did not have to but was kind enough to do so. You booked dates and tried to cancel last minute which did not give us enough time to rebook. We asked you to send in documents regarding your emergency so that we could try to see if we could work something out. You never sent that over. But yet you are mad with us. We did all that we could do but we understand that some people want to place the blame on someone else when they do not get their way. We wish you the best.
