Lovely Home in Manchester

We cannot say enough about our stay in this lovely home in Manchester. The home was perfect for our family of 4 adults enjoying a last minute ski trip. The location is perfect- easy access to Stratton and Bromley ski resorts and walking distance to Main Street for dining and spa experience at Equinox. The home was charming with spacious bedrooms, comfortable living room and large dining room. We could have invited a second family to join us and still have adequate space. Loved the attic which included a great spot for young kids to get away from the parents! Our hosts were awesome- communication great and they welcomed us with some goodies upon our arrival, Very professional, The house itself was warm, inviting and very clean. We highly recommend and give a 5 star review!

We were a small group coming to Manchester for skiing and the beauty of Vermont.

We loved this house. It is beautiful, well cared for, warm and spacious. The kids loved the third floor bunk room. We all loved the location and hope to return. Thank you!

Historic house; great location

Our group of six adults stayed here for a wedding in Manchester Village. The house is in easy walking distance of all Equinox venues, the Reluctant Panther, the Silver Fork and other sites. The house, originally the Manse of the nearby Congregational Church has been thoughtfully renovated. The house is set back from the street with rocking chairs on a wide porch looking out to the Green Mountains.

A great house in a great location

Perfectly situated just south of town, this large house was great for my group of friends and family. Near restaurants, shops, outlets and golf. and 14 minutes from the Vermont Summer Festival. I would definitely rent this home again.

Great home in ideal location!

We just returned from this wonderful rental + we would definitely stay here again! Our family was in town for the Vermont Summer Festival, and we could not have chosen a better rental. This home had everything (and more) than we needed. The owners, Mari and Cameron, were great to work with, and they went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome and were comfortable. When the weather became rainy and hot, they brought over an extra air conditioning unit without us even asking. The kitchen had everything we needed, and our family appreciated eating at the big dining room table. The front porch with the rocking chairs was my favorite place for reading. This location is perfect for long runs and bike rides. The home is set back from the road and is very quiet. It's walking distance to the Equinox, ice cream, the shops and the Southern Vermont Arts Center. It's about 5 minutes to the wonderful hiking trails behind the Equinox, 5 minutes to Lye Brook Falls and 10 minutes or so from VSF, the Dorset Quarry, farmers market, bakery, more hiking, gallery + Dorset Inn.

Manchester Magic

Great stay in Manchester in a wonderful home for a family. The kids played in the snow for hours while the adults enjoyed a nice warm fire!! We also skied for 2 days at Magic Mountain which is only about 30 minutes away. Bromley would have been even closer but we had the kids booked into all day lessons at Magic before we rented the house. But we love Manchester and this home is in in a perfect spot in town - easy to skiing but also good for the outlets, Orvis and all of the fun restaurants in Manchester Center. We got yummy take out from Sams, Ye Olde Tavern and Mulligans. Thank you to our great hosts for the dining suggestions and for making us feel so welcome! We would definitely rent again!!

Why they chose this property

Went to school at Bennington College. Vermont’s landscape captivated us from the start - the dramatic seasonal changes, from brilliant fall foliage to snow-covered winters to lush green summers. This area strikes the perfect balance between peaceful countryside and access to local charm. You’ll find welcoming communities, authentic New England character, farm stands, and year-round outdoor activities. It’s the kind of place where you truly disconnect and recharge.
