Ideal for our group. Roomy inside, peaceful location, close to Lye Brook Trail & town.

  • 5 of 5

The place worked out great for our "sibling weekend". Plenty of room inside. Folks enjoyed sitting on the deck and hearing the babbling brook nearby. The five bedrooms, 2 first floor and 3 second floor were ideal for our needs. It was a very comfortable place. Easy walk to the start of Lye Brook Trail, although we never actually hiked it. Visitor Center in town, only 2 miles away, directed us to the Equinox Preserve as a great place that has trails for every level of hiker, so that's where we went hiking. We will definitely consider renting the place again next year.

Beautiful, spacious, Lovely, cozy.

  • 5 of 5

I must say, I've been visiting Vermont for over 35 years. It's one of the most beautiful states in the U.S.A. So, with that said, this home is so comfy and cozy. You feel like you have everything you need and it's all accessible to you. Ours was a daughter/ mother weekend and the fact that it fit comfortably was an added plus. Everyone was so happy... We were also so close to the stores for groceries and for shopping, the Gap, UGGs, Carter's stores to name a few were our favorite.... We went out for breakfast but made dinner in the home. I want to sincerely thank the owner's because we accidentally turned the wood stove off and he patiently explained what we needed to do in order to turn it back on. We just had such a fantastic time....we will definitely come back to this property. In my opinion, this home needs nothing else. It was perfect..above and beyond my expectations.

Fantastic Comfort, Clean and Close!

  • 5 of 5

We booked this home to stay in for a long weekend trip to Bromley Mountain for skiing. We had two families and there was more than enough space with the two Master Bed Rooms and with the additional 3 the 5 kids all fell naturally into place with no arguments about bedrooms or where to sleep! They loved the big sectional couch and the smaller sitting room was a cozy quiet area away from the energy of the group. Bathrooms were perfect and everything was clean. They added little extra's that were on hand in the house made us feel right at home! The Families are already talking about hoping this can become a repeat occasion!

Beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Bromley house for our yearly after Christmas break. It was a very cold stay. We only skied one day at nearby Bromley due to the frigid temperatures and high winds. The location of the house is quite perfect. Beautiful views. We could walk outside and be in wilderness and hiking with our 3 children and dog. We could drive short distances for dining, groceries, book store and shopping to outlets. We also drove an hour to Adams Family Farm for an indoor petting zoo and enjoyed talking with the owners of the farm and seeing all the animals. Even though we spent a lot of time reading and hanging out indoors it was a very comfortable place to do so. The house was huge for only 5 people. The stove was so cozy and wonderful and we really spent 85% of our time on the couch and floor. Kitchen is fine to cook in and we did a lot of home cooking.

Minor improvements we could suggest.- new set of dishes or at least mugs. They were quite chipped and oversized. A coffeemaker-we had brought along a lot of holiday coffees but we do not have a Keurig machine so we had to buy pods. No big deal but we like brewing up pots. Also the lighting in areas is rather dim and gloomy. The glass coffee table is not conducive to play on for 3 children. (Puzzles, games)(would suggest something sturdier)

Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely home.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the terrific review Robyn. Duly noted on the coffee mugs, don't know how they disappear so fast. I'm restocking immediately!

We loved our stay. The house was well cared for and very comfortable. It was close to Manchester Center and not too far from Stratton mountain. We would happily go back.

We rented the house for a Girl’s Weekend. Great location, easy to get to, clean, comfy beds and plenty of room for everyone. Hiking trail next to the property and a wonderful brook on site. Thank you for sharing your home.
