Portside Resort has 16 acres of beautifully landscaped with palm trees and is a well maintained property, in a quiet area across the street from the beach. This is a freshly renovated and spacious 2-story condo with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms within walking distance to the Gulf of Mexico’s beautiful emerald waters and white sandy beaches. Enjoy gorgeous sunsets on the balcony, relax in the hot tub, or cool off in one of the 3 pools. Tennis courts, shuffleboard, pickle ball, fitness room all within a short walk from the condo. Walking and bike trails through the tropical resort. Quiet, peaceful location, about 2 miles from Pier Park shopping mall, multiple choices in restaurants, and a walk on the pier. You can rent scooters, jet skis or go parasailing if you wish. 15 minutes from PCB airport on the desirable west end of Panama City Beach. 30 minutes from the outlet malls in Destin.
Our unit is located in the middle of the complex, between the tennis courts and the back pool. It has the advantage of being a little more quiet than the front area, and still within easy walking distance to the beach. The patio faces a beautiful lagoon rather than the back of another condo. The back pool is quite close, on the other side of the wetlands. Our Master Bedroom has a queen bed with a private balcony; the second bedroom has one twin and a twin over full bunk bed. Both rooms have their own TVs w DVD capability. A full bath adjoins both rooms, with a separate vanity in the Master suite. The large first floor living area opens onto a patio, and has a pull out Queen sofa, dining seating for 6 plus a breakfast bar, and a fully furnished kitchen with microwave, blender, ice maker, and coffee maker...no Keurig. There is a brand new air conditioner, a TV in each room with basic cable, and high speed internet w WiFi. The whole downstairs is set up for family fun and games, as well as easy access to food! Bedrooms and bath are on the second floor of the townhouse condo. Second bath is located on first floor. We are pet friendly (for a well-behaved dogs up to 20 lbs). Sorry...no cats. We invite you to come and bring your family for a truly memorable vacation. There is certainly something here for everyone! This is a non-smoking unit. Smoking is only allowed outside on the patio or deck areas.

Spring Break April 2021

We really enjoyed our stay at Barbara's place on the west side of Panama City Beach. The townhouse was clean and comfortable and the pool and beach access were very nice too. We also met some nice permanent residents as well. We would stay there again for sure!

This complex has an awesome location. We visited my Dad and his wife who live in Wewa and they were able to join us to look through some photos even though she is unable to do stairs. The walk in is ground level. The Grounds are wonderful for our little old dog. It was lovely and we will plan to return

Great place to stay!

We really loved our stay at this condo. It was nice and clean and had some extra necessities that we didn't expect. The owners even reached out to us to let us know about the flag warnings for our safety. We could tell they really care about their guests. The complex as a whole was nice and close enough to walk to the beach. The pools were never overcrowed and there were several evenings we had the pool close to us all to ourselves. Just perfect!

This was exactly what we needed! The walk to the beach was no problem at all and the grounds are beautiful. Communication with the owner and property manager could not be beat. One small hiccup when we got there with the door lock but it was fixed within an hour. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

With treatment this place would be perfect

Everything was as described, minus the roaches. Location is perfect and pools are beautiful. The host communicated and said she will inform the office and get it sprayed. Which if you don’t live there it’s hard to know about the bugs so I’m sure this will be handled. Aside from that it was fine, furniture could use some updating but everything else was fine. Condo was clean when arriving and the security lady at the office is wonderful.

Nice little condo across from the beach.

This little condo wash clean, typically equipped. The second bedroom has an old tube tv that worked poorly, the internet was spotty and the off great room TVs were the smallest that I’ve seen. As a income property owner and manager I’d like to have seen those little updates since tube TVs have not been made in over 30 years. I’d stay again given its proximity to the beach.

Comfortable and clean condo- very happy with our selection

Pictures are accurate. Condo is clean and well stocked. The walk to the beach was short and easy- I was nervous about that part, but my kids helped carry towels and coolers, etc. Might want to bring a beach wagon or cart to haul your stuff. Our favorite place to hang out was by the front two pools. The jacuzzi was always warm. The waterfalls were pretty. The other residents and guests were all friendly. Barbara was also friendly and an excellent communicator. I feel like we got a fair price and had a comfortable, clean, nice place to stay.

Much better than anticipated!

Everything was so nice and clean. The cleaning lady even went out of her way to help us get our car to the garage when it was leaking fuel. She called and hit us right in. We ended up having to stay longer than expected and owner tried helping us find a new place to stay after our check out time. Easy access to washer and dryer, easy access to outdoor water to spray things off, new wood in balcony of master and front porch area. Not a terrible walk to the beach, but if your carrying lots of stuff definitely have extra hands or a wagon. (Nicely black topped parking lot)

Good location

The pools and hot tub are very nice and my children enjoyed having an option of which pool to swim in. Even on days where the beach was closed, the swim area never seemed too crowded. The beach was across the street, just a few blocks due to the rental being towards the middle of the property. We had no issues with communication. The grout for the tile on the lower level was painted black and not carried through the entire floor, the walls needed updating with paint, the doors all stuck and the master door actually would not open by the time we left our 6 night stay. There were 2 different door knobs on the door, which is probably why it happened. If there would not have been an adjoining door from the bathroom, my children and I would have been stuck in the room. The tv in the second bedroom should definitely be updated. Overall, it was a good stay just not as aesthetically pleasing as every other rental has been. A few disappointing notes were that when you stay an entire week, more trash bags or toilet paper are not provided. I also received a claim that the curtains were broke. These were ripped when we came and I actually put them up due to fear my 2 year old would get stuck in them. We bought the mandatory property damage insurance luckily and did not receive an email from the host about this. The washer is so loud we couldn’t do laundry when the kids were sleeping. We would stay in the community again but would opt for a different unit.

I am from Bowling Green, KY, where I am a retired nurse and full time real estate investor. I love to play bridge and spend time with my 3 daughters and their families, who live nearby.. We have a lake within 30 miles of us, but travel to PCB for sandy beaches and spectacular sunsets over the ocean.

We enjoy great times in PCB at Portside and we hope that you will take the opportunity to share our little piece of paradise.

Why they chose this property

Our family has been vacationing on the Emerald Coast for years and purchased this unit when SouthWest Airlines made flights very affordable and easy to get here. I love having the pools and hot tub within walking distance, and the easy access to beautiful white beaches. I loved hearing the locals call this resort the best maintained area in Panama City Beach. Makes me proud to be an owner of one of it's 167 condos.

Pier Park Mall is just minutes away. It has incredible shopping and dining opportunities. The Frank Brown Ball Park is only 2 miles down Back Beach Road, and is used frequently for ball tournaments.

There is a wonderful homemade doughnut shop just down the road that is too, too good, but you have to get there early (8?) to avoid long lines!

Definitely a 'family' place to stay! Try us out!

What makes this property unique

We love that the unit is in walking distance to the beach...no need to start the car. Also love to sit on the couch, or be at the dining table and look out at the lagoon and the luscious landscaping through the sliding glass doors. Or better, to have meals on that patio in the shaded beauty of Florida palms.

There are wonderful consignment shops, a huge shopping mall, lots of restaurants and specialty shops close by. We are about 5 miles away from the heavily trafficked areas of the college youth and bikers. close enough to get to if you wish, but far enough away to enjoy privacy and peace, with the beauty of the beach.

The airport is only 15 minutes away. We have all the comforts of home right here waiting! There are lots of things to do and to discover while you are here...or you can truly relax and just enjoy the sun, sparkling waters of the Gulf and the white sandy beaches.
