Great Spot for a Summertime Family Reunion!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in this chalet for a family reunion. We had 11 family members - 7 adults and 4 children. The chalet was spacious for our large group with plenty of beds and a huge long table that everybody could eat at. Everything was clean and in working order.

Because there are only 4 bedrooms with multiple bunks in each, some folks had to share a room with others who were not immediate family, so I can imagine that might be awkward for some groups. In our extended family, it worked out alright. We loved the location - walking distance to the cute shops, restaurants, and ski bowl area of Government Camp. We loved the town and found the people very relaxed and friendly. We did some day excursions and hikes, and really enjoyed the area.

My only small bit of negative feedback is that we all found the beds in the chalet very hard, and we had a lot of complaints about bad sleeps from our group. Some nice cushy mattress covers would really help.

Great place for up to four families

  • 4 of 5

Our three families of six adults and four children were very comfortable at this house. The added bonus of the separate apartment on the lower floor was perfect for us, the grandparents, to have our own space, kitchen and bathroom.

I would give it a five star rating except for the rough terrain leading to the house and the poor lighting in the living room.

A winter wonderland dream

  • 5 of 5

Great space for a large group. We filled the house with 18 and it never felt stuffy or cramped. Great location within walking distance to downtown Govy, a short walk to SkiBowl East, and very close to nearby crosscountry ski trails. The hot tub is perfect after a long day of playing in the snow. Definitely recommend.

Great cabin for families

  • 4 of 5

The house is in a great location and comfortably accommodated 4 families (8 adults, 9 kids). It isn't fancy, but the size and location make up for this. The foosball table should be removed, as it is broken. And the coffee maker leaked (I've notified the property management folks so hopefully it will be replaced for future visitors.) Overall, I'd definitely come back!
