Escape House on Green Turtle Cay is the Perfect Island Getaway w/Deep Water Dock

A short walk to a stunning beach with snorkeling, rental boats next door, a large yard, and a large, covered porch with views of Black Sound, the Escape is recently renovated and located on 1.25 acres. The house includes an 85’ deep water dock, with 50amp service, water (soon), and awaits your rental boat or your own yacht. The Escape is conveniently located between the charming village of New Plymouth, with groceries, local eateries and bars, and stunning cove beach on Gillum Bay, and both within a 5-minute walk. Love bone-fishing? Behind the beach on the sound-side is one of several amazing wading areas loaded with fish.

Getting to our house: if you are arriving by boat enter Black Sound and our dock is just beyond Donny’s Marina and the government dock (under repair). By air, the closest airports to the Green Turtle Ferry Dock are Treasure Cay (MYAT), a 5-minute taxi ride, and Marsh Harbour (MYAM) about a 35-minute taxi ride.

The host was very easy to get ahold of and when arriving by boat gave accurate instructions on how to find the home. Loved the location close to turtle, stingray and shark viewing, even a manatee on the canal. and the home is well kept with all you would need.

The escape house was one of my favorite out of the various others I have visited on GTC. Location, location, location! Great dock, comfy beds, great furniture for a group of 5. 5 min to downtown, great overall experience with the Property Manager and owners!

Great spot!

We came across by boat and met the wives and kids. The owners were very responsive and very flexible with our travel days due to the weather and crossing. Ruth was very helpful and also very responsive. Everyone was just pleasant to work with. Always love GTC and can’t wait to go back.

Property was in a good location. Home didn’t have a generator or dishwasher. The dock didn’t have power or fresh water. The house was nice and Ruth was exceptional she took very good care of us when the power was out.

We love to share what is special about Abaco, the people and the amazing beaches and water. Our local host, Ruth, is a delight - you'll fall in love with her, The Escape, and Green Turtle Cay.

Why they chose this property

We were looking for something close, but not directly in New Plymouth (the town on Green Turtle Cay) that has a deep-water dock and was walking close to beaches. We found it; The Escape.

What makes this property unique

The proximity to town (grocers, supplies, restaurants, bakeries, medical), the deep-water dock on protected Black Sound, close to the beach, great Bahamian neighbors, and an exceptionally large and beautiful lot make the location spectacular. The house is very comfortable, and the large Black-sound facing covered porch is exceptionally tranquil.
