Close to Everything!

Great property that appeared to have been freshly remodeled and is close to everything. Short walk to River Run base - 5 mins - and close to downtown. Will definitely stay here again!

Our apartment was recently remodeled, and we loved it. The only down side was that they aren’t running their shuttle for skiers returning from the base, which resulted in quite a slog with skis every day. It’s around 200 yards of a slight incline.

The staff were good about keeping the snow plowing current and well as dusting off the cars. My husband was able to walk over to the resort without any trouble to ski. We would stay again. My only complaint is too many guests with off lease dogs.

Amazing Location and Newly Remodeled Unit — Perfect

You’re at River Run Plaza on Mount Baldy after a short (100 yards) walk through the meadow and woods by the River. Can it get any better? Yes, the complex is adjacent to the Wood River hike and bike trails. AMAZING!! And the owner Alan Pennay is a jazz pianist who plays at the Duchin Lounge at the Sun Valley Lodge most Fridays and Saturdays from 4-7. And Unit 9 has been recently remodeled and is perfect. The whole place is rustic magic!

Another great visit to Sun Valley

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have now stayed at Pennay's twice and have enjoyed both experiences. This unit, (9), is one that was recently remodeled and was done beautifully. The location is great to walk into tow, access the bike path and the river. In the winter it is almost ski in ski out but we have only visited in the summer. The owner is on site and is great and the general manager is always available and responsive.

Comfortable and close to the lifts!

The unit was just fine for our little family, nothing too fancy. We loved the little community and how close the complex is to the ski lifts! A few more cups bowls and cutlery to reduce the amount of dishwashing while on vacation would’ve made it an absolutely perfect place but it was pretty darn great as it was!

Great price and location

Great location within walking distance to restaurants and bars. Also easy access to Baldy. We had an amazing 4 days skiing in sunshine. The condo was perfect for me and my wife.

Quiet, close to rail trail

The unit is nestled in a quiet corner of town, minutes from the river and 100 feet from the rail trail. Ideal if you want to bike or run. The only downside: no A/C so the rooms took quite a while to cool off. Not unusual for Ketchum though since it doesn't often get real hot.

GREAT LOCATION BUT......

THE CONDO WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. I LOVED THE KITCHEN. IF YOU ARE GOING TO SKI IT IS DIFFICULT TO BEAT THE LOCATION. YOU CAN WALK TO RIVER RUN LODGE IN JUST A FEW MINUTES. HOWEVER, IT LACKED IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: 1) NO KITCHEN TOWELS. THERE IS ONLY ONE TOWEL AND NO WASH CLOTH SO YOU ARE EXPECTED TO ONLY USE PAPER TOWELS WHICH WE ARE NOT A FAN OF. I HAPPEN TO HAVE BROUGHT A COUPLE OF TOWELS FOR THE CAR RIDE SO WE HAD SOME. 2) THE HOT TUB WAS GREEN WATER AND DIRTY. WE COULD NOT USE IT BECAUSE OF THIS. 3) THE FAUCET IN THE BATHROOM WAS SUPER LOSE AND THE HOOK ON THE BACK FOR THE DOOR WAS FALLING OFF (DUE TO IT BEING SCREWED INTO A HOLLOW DOOR). 4) POORLY INSULATED SO IT IS A BIT CHILLY BUT THE BASEBOARD HEAT WORKS WELL. WE ACTUALLY PAID A HIGHER PRICE THAN WE WANTED TO FOR A 2 NIGHT STAY IN SV BECAUSE WE OTHER PLACES WE LOOKED AT DID NOT HAVE A HOT TUB. WE STAY IN SV SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR DRIVING FROM BOISE. THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE WEEKENDS, I THINK DUE TO IT BEING HIGH SKI SEASON. THIS IS FINE, BUT WE PAID FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS ADVERTISED THAT WAS NOT USABLE. WITH ALL THIS BEING SAID, I WOULD STILL STAY IN THIS CONDO AGAIN, BUT IN AN OFF SEASON WHEN IT IS CHEAPER. I DON'T THINK IT WAS WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY WE PAID DUE TO THE REASONS I LISTED.
