The home includes only the finest tile work, exposed brick and natural stone and is uniquely decorated with antiques and original art.
Once you pass through the large wooden doors, guests are greeted by the sound and the sights of the ocean below. The entry level is a dramatic, large open area that has a Mexican-style kitchen with open tiled shelving, a dining area, and a living area with banquette seating for TV viewing. A convenient powder room is also located on this level. The comfortable living area is completely open to the ocean along the west wall allowing tropical breezes to move throughout the home incorporating seamlessly the indoor living spaces with the outside terrace.
Up one level, guests will find two master bedrooms with full bathrooms en suite. One master bedroom features a king bed with a Mexican-tiled sunken tub and shower. The queen master suite has a magnificent bathroom tiled in Moroccan inspired tile work. There is a sitting area on the balcony outside both suites. The bedrooms can be open air or closed for air conditioned comfort for sleeping.
Up one more level is the private rooftop terrace. The terrace features a spectacular 360 degree view of the ocean, downtown and lush mountains. There is a palapa-covered bar made complete with a sink and refrigerator. A built-in tiled service bar runs the length of the terrace, perfect for entertaining. The whirlpool dipping pool is the ideal place to re-charge your batteries after spending the day in the sun or shopping Vallarta’s numerous boutiques. Here, you will also discover lounge chairs and a dining area for sunset cocktails. A convenient powder room can also be found on this level.
Down one level from the main entrance are 2 more bedrooms with private en suite bathrooms. Both rooms feature ocean views and can be either open air or glass windows closed for air conditioned comfort. One bedroom offers one king bed and one single bed with a tiled bathroom shower. The other bedroom has a queen bed and a Mexican-tiled bathroom. Between the two bedrooms there is an intimate sitting area for TV viewing.

Great setting with amazing views We had the largest bathroom but the others were quite small
To continue the bathrooms were not very well appointed Not enough hot water many evenings either
But overall was a great place with a wonderful housekeeper who was there 6 days a week and very helpful
Would stay again
Thanks for submitting the review of Casa Perezoso. I am sorry to hear that there might have been a problem with the hot water...we will check on that immediately. We have not had anyone report hot water issues in the past.
We stayed for 10 days and the house was perfect. Right above the Los Muertos Beach and an easy walk to all the restaurants and clubs in Old Town. The beds were very comfortable and the common spaces and roof were beautiful.
Thanks so much for writing a great review of Casa Perezoso! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to your return visit! Margaret
Amazing home, view and location!!!
We stayed in Casa P 01/27/18 - 02/03/18, and thoroughly enjoyed it. So many great things to say about the house:
The house: huge and spacious; 7 adults stayed there and had plenty of room to spread out. The views from every room are breathtaking - especially when you walk in the front door! The open-air concept allows you to listen to waves - which is very relaxing. It's furnished in traditional Mexican decor - adding to the charm. There are lots of stairs - so keep this in mind if stairs are an issue for you.
The location: excellent; close proximity for a short walk to the hear of old Puerto Vallarta. The house is perched above a couple of resorts, known for pool parties and some late night parties - but noise was not an issue the week we were there. To get to the beach, you have two immediate options - both which involved navigating a bunch of stairs. When you walk out the front door - you can turn left and walk a few steps uphill to find a crazy, steep staircase of about 200 steps with a haphazard handrail. Or you can turn left and walk downhill past the Almar Resort for a set of more manageable stairs. In any case - prepare to WALK a lot - not just to the beach, but around the city, which is full of uneven surfaces and cobblestone streets. We all joked that we returned home in better shape! If walking is not your thing - Ubers and cabs are plentiful.
Margaret, the owner: super responsive, friendly and helpful. She made sure all our questions were answered and that we had everything we needed upon arrival. The kitchen was stocked with groceries and beverages. She is a top-notch professional who helped make our stay even more pleasant and enjoyable. Oh - and Lupe the house keeper was there daily to keep the house neat and tidy - always with a smile on her face.
If you are looking for a great get-away to Puerto Vallarta, I highly recommend Casa P. We'd definitely stay here again - maybe in 2019 if we return to PV!
Excellent Puerto Vallarta Stay
My family traveled to PV 3/17. There were a total of 7 of us. The house is fantastic! I loved the traditional Mexican tiles, artwork, and neighborhood. The views from the Living Room are gorgeous with many areas to sit and relax. The kitchen was stocked pretty well though the knives were remarkably dull. We made several meals at home and obviously some blended drinks. The 4 bedrooms are very spacious with good storage and fantastic views. The ocean waves at night were awesome. All were comfortable in their beds and the individual bathrooms were large as well. The upstairs terrace was great for sunning and reading books. The refrigerator there came in handy for keeping our drinks cold. Lupe kept us in supply of clean towels and made up our beds during the days we were there. The place was very clean. The internet worked well for us. One of our guests had to work several days and had no problems with video conference calls while at the house. The downtown area is very walkable though the streets and sidewalks are a jumble of cobblestones. We walked to almost all dinners. The beach is 201 steps down on a fairly steep grade. Down was not so bad but up go the breathing going. Finally, it should be noted that this area of PV has become a happening spot for the LGBT community. The only downside of that is it is treated as 'Spring Break' no matter what time of year it is. We had parties going on until 5 in the morning. On the good side, we couldn't really hear any noise from the bedroom as the ocean waves covered it up. It was only when you got up to the bathroom that the party became apparent. Also parking was not the best though the hotel nearby was under construction and many of the workers parked right in front of the house, so this may not always be an issue.
All in all, a fantastic traditional (luxurious) place to stay in the heart of downtown PV. We would all definitely go back and stay.
Beautiful house, great location!
This is our second stay at Casa Perezsoso and we plan on staying again next year. The house is perfect for couples or groups. Every bedroom has its own bath plus two more, no bathroom issues here! The house is open air, with shutters and a/c for the bedrooms. You are lulled to sleep with the sounds of waves every night. The housekeeper, Lupe, arrives everyday about noon and does an excellent job keeping everything tidy. The owner, Margaret is quick to answer any questions you may have. She has a list of items that can be stocked in the house upon your arrival for cost plus tip. We had both fridges, one in the kitchen and one on the terrace stocked with beer, water and soda. Well worth it! The beach is accessible by stairs right around the corner from the house, they're quite a lot of them though. It was our daily exercise. Overall it's a great place to stay and I believe one of the few houses on Playa de Los Muertos.
We made a last minute decision to join friends with plans in Puerto Vallarta and stumbled across this gem. We enjoy nice things and are used to good service. The moment we arrived, Lupe greeted us at the door. She took such good care of us during our visit, each day making sure things were perfect. I felt as though I had "finally come home." We found the home to be luxurious, yet rustic. I found inspiration in every room in the house. I fell in love with the traditional Mexican architecture, original art, custom traditional tile work as well as the décor and furnishings that are obviously well chosen. It was so easy to relax and put my feet up. I did not want to leave when the time came. It has been only 1 month since we were at Casa Perezoso and I have already booked the home again for a family get-a-way. Although I enjoy a number of activities in Puerto Vallarta, I would be very happy to have never left this wonderful home.
Just above Playa Los Muertos - stairs down to the beach - walking distance into the center of town
