Esta hermosa casa de la isla se encuentra directamente en la playa. La casa diseñada por un arquitecto, cuenta con un maravilloso plano de planta, con sala de estar, comedor y cocina abiertos con mucho espacio para el entretenimiento. El salón tiene un techo alto, grandes ventanales y puertas de vidrio con vistas a la playa. Hay hermosos pisos de roble rojo, inserciones de abalorios en el techo, arcos, barandas de escaleras de hierro forjado, pisos de azulejos, cocina gourmet con encimeras de Corian y una isla cubierta de granito, contiguo al comedor informal y con vistas a una de las dos cubiertas con mosquitero y el Golfo de México .

Hay una piscina, pista de tenis y zona de juegos en esta subdivisión cerrada. El área debajo de la casa se concreta y perfecta para cocinar al aire libre y las reuniones familiares. También hay una ducha exterior debajo de la casa. La sala de estar y todas las habitaciones tienen televisores de pantalla plana. La propiedad dispone de televisión por satélite e Internet WIFI. La gran cocina está totalmente equipada con todo lo necesario para cocinar durante su visita. Ropa de cama y toallas están amueblados, sin embargo tendrá que traer toallas de playa. Hay muebles de cubierta en la cubierta espaciosa.

La suite principal se encuentra en este nivel principal, con sala de estar, puertas de vidrio abiertas al porche, porche frente al mar, baño con bañera de hidromasaje y ducha separada. En la planta superior, hay cuatro habitaciones, dos a cada lado de la casa, cada lado con baños Jack & Jill y 2 tocadores a cada lado. Todas las habitaciones tienen televisores de pantalla plana con DirecTV e Internet inalámbrico. Tres de las cinco habitaciones tienen vista al golfo!

TERMITES - property has swarms of termites in kitchen

House and location were nice until we had SWARM OF TERMITES IN KITCHEN one night. After extensive cleaning one evening they seemed to stop. We contacted the property manager who got us in touch with property owner who admitted THIS WAS KNOWN ISSUE with the property. They stated kitchen was recently remodeled to handle the situation - their advice was to turn lights off. No other solution was given. Board walk to beach has raised and loose nails - must wear shoes or you might step on a nail. I wouldn’t book this house again if it were free.

Beautiful Property - Nosey Neighbors

We had 12 people staying in this property for a week and we had relatives from 3 other states staying in a separate home on the island that we had not seen since before the pandemic. We thought this house would be a great place to gather for a couple days and enjoy the beach and each other. Again, we only had 12 people staying at the house. Little did we know, the neighbors on both sides were watching us at all times and are active board members in the neighborhood HOA. They actually contacted the home owners about us having visitors. We were really bummed that the neighbors were sticklers about us having our relatives visit. We did have to cut the visit short after being told that if our relatives did not leave the premises the police would remove them for trespassing. Andy with Dauphin Island Real Estate delivered the news in person but handled a very uncomfortable situation with class. Besides the above situation, the house was perfect for our group of 12. Plenty of room, A/C kicked out some great cool air, kitchen was stocked with any utensil we needed (we didn't eat out once) kayak included along with beach chairs and lots of kid's beach toys. The ice machine was clutch! The view of the ocean is BEAUTIFUL! Easy walk out to the beach but watch out for the nails on the boardwalk because some are sticking up. Stop on your way in at Walmart to get items cheap. You can get items at the local shop called Ship and Shore which we loved, but it is expensive. Grab extra toilet paper and paper towels as well as laundry and dishwasher detergent. We really enjoyed our stay at this property!

Cleanliness of property. The inside of this house was a palace. The outside and underneath the house need work. Porch areas and wooden boardwalk are in need of repairs. Also Backyard needs to be cleaned/picked up of debris.

Awesome property for family getaway!

We stayed in Mid March and had a great time. Plenty of room for entire family to spread out! Home was even better than expected and well stocked with cooking extras! We loved the location and the quiet Beach! Definitely recommend!

Wanted somewhere somewhat secluded because of covid— could not have picked a better place. Private beach and the kids had a blast fishing. A bit cold to get in water but to be expected. Kitchen was more than stocked. House was beautiful

Perfect vacation

Our stay was great! The house was clean and very spacious for 6 of us. We walked to the beach every day we were there. The host left us great recommendations for great food and fun things to do. In the evening we would play ping pong down stairs and hang out. The beds are some of the most comfortable to sleep on! We are definitely hoping to come stay again soon!!!

Great house! Open and gorgeous. Well supplied kitchen cooking equipment, dishes appliances. Beach Location was a little too far from the house. Nice pool and tennis court. More communication would have been helpful from the management company. We are a family of 6. We flew from Denver to Mobile. Of course, our rental car was extremely full, luggage, 2 car seats etc. Prior to our visit I inquired about what was available at the house . Meaning beach chairs, inflatables, beach toys and so forth. At first we were told that beach chairs were not available. We could purchase or rent chairs. Really? Who buys equipment like that to leave st a rental? Beach Rentals were very expensive . Finally, after asking several times , an associate from Management did go to the house and informed me there were chairs available. No mention of the additional items, such as a kayak, kids beach toys, an umbrella and a tent for the beach. A list of household items we should provide and purchase was inaccurate also. A waste of money!

Phenomenal home. Short, private walk to the beach for perfect sunset views.

We had a magnificent week in this home on Dauphin Island. Kitchen is well equipped, plenty of room, the back porch and deck are enormous and perfect for outside dining. It is a little bit of a walk to the beach, but on a private walkway and the beach itself is very private. Just a fantastic time over all. Highly recommend it.

We love Dauphin Island, a wonder of nature and full of history - a barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico . The population is about 1,300. The town is included in the Mobile metropolitan statistical area. The island was named for Louis XIV's great-grandson and heir, the Dauphin. Our 'laid-back' atmosphere is prized by folks who enjoy serenity and natural beauty.

The eastern, wider portion of the island, is shaded by thick stands of maritime pine trees, but the narrow, western part of the island features scrub growth and few trees.

Dauphin Island is home to Fort Gaines, Dauphin Island Sea Lab, The Estuarium public aquarium, the Dauphin Island Airport, boat ramps, a fishing pier located on the Island's eastern end, historic sites, several restaurants. Beaches attract tourism, and fishing is a popular activity in the waters around the island. The island is connected to the mainland by a 3.5 mile long bridge.

Although the entire island is a bird sanctuary, the main one is the 164-acre Audubon Bird Sanctuary. Dauphin Island is the first landfall encountered by many birds as they migrate north from Central and South America, and as a consequence many species can be found resting there before continuing their journey.

In 1519, the Spanish explorer Alonso Álvarez de Pineda was the first documented European to visit, staying long enough to map the island with remarkable accuracy.

The island's French history began on January 31, 1699, when the explorer Pierre Le Moyne, sieur d'Iberville, D'Iberville later decided to locate a port for Fort Louis de La Louisiane (Mobile). Fort Gaines on the eastern tip of the island was built between 1821 and 1848. It was occupied by Confederate forces in 1861, and captured by Federal troops during the Battle of Mobile Bay. The phrase, 'Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead,' was spoken by U. S. Admiral David Farragut just a few hundred yards from Dauphin Island's shore.

The beaches are beautiful, white sand, miles of beach to walk and enjoy shelling, fishing, birding, watching the dolphins (lots of them)! The SUNSETS are fantastic...Dauphin Island is Alabama's 'Sunset Capital' Our homes provide you with an awesome deck overlooking the views to the south, east and west. You are also close to the island-wide bike trail which is great for biking, running, or walking. There are no traffic lights on the island and life is truly low key. This will be the most relaxing vacation you can remember.
