We enjoyed our stay! The house is beautiful and welcoming. The location is great. Rob was very helpful. Our only problem was we had to cut our trip a day short due to the weather. But you can’t control Mother Nature!
Great row house, close walking distance to many cool restaurants and bars. Everything was very clean, well stocked, and the hosts were very responsive. Would highly recommend!
We were in Richmond for a baby shower, and mostly appreciated the house for its many beds and also the parking space, which I know can be a challenge. We did not do any cooking, but the kitchen was well stocked if we needed to cook. We were also able to entertain other family members one evening for a pizza and game night.
Very nice house for our large group to stay during a college reunion. House was even roomier than the already nice pictures suggested, and very comfortable for everyone. Outside area was simple but nice, area was good and convenient, parking behind house was helpful, and all the interior rooms were great. All in all, a lovely place to stay that we had a great time at!
The home was comfortable and clean and the kitchen was equipped with all the cooking equipment we needed. Seating for a larger sized group (7 of us) was awkward which is why I only gave 4 stars. I appreciated how quickly the hosts responded to the few questions I had. As a general comment, we were here on a long holiday weekend, so, most of the restaurants and coffee houses were closed as this home is in the Virginia Commonwealth University district.
Very cool old house, in the middle of everything.
Rob and Larkin were very responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was top notch. The house was clearly recently renovated and modernized. The beds are super comfy, and the kitchen was well equipped. There was plenty of room for our two-family party of nine. We had a great time!
This was a nice location to use Richmond as a half-way point when gathering family for Thanksgiving. The property had a unique character and a lot of bedrooms, which was a plus for our group. There was also a good amount to see and do within walking distance, even if the area did sometimes feel deserted, probably because VCU was on break. The one drawback for our group was that the two common areas (kitchen and living room) were small, making it difficult to all gather in one place.
A group of colleagues from across the country and I stayed here for a multi day meeting in Richmond. It’s a gorgeous home within walking distance to several great restaurants in the neighborhood. The beds were remarkably comfortable and the downstairs shower is fantastic. The kitchen was equipped well enough to make dinner for all of us when it was too hot to go out. Appreciated the two dedicated parking spaces in the rear and the prompt and friendly communication from the host. Would definitely stay here again!
The house is exactly as advertised, 5 bedrooms (4 spacious with king or double-queen beds), well-stocked kitchen including paper towels/trash bags, etc., and we did not encounter anything that wasn’t functioning properly. Our group was in town to attend a class at the convention center which was an easy 15 minute walk. The coffee shop directly behind the house is great (Mudhouse) and you can walk to a variety of restaurants; I like Birdie’s. The living spaces are relatively small compared to the house overall so may not be suitable for all groups the size of which the bed/bedrooms accommodate but we had a fun time in and out of the house. Would definitely return.
We stayed at this house during our artist residency at VCU, and it was a fantastic experience. The location was perfect—within walking distance to the venue and just a short drive to grocery stores and other shops. Having a dedicated parking spot in the back was a huge bonus. The house itself was spacious and comfortable, which made our extended stay easy. The downstairs bedroom was especially helpful for one of us who couldn’t manage stairs. We appreciated that the home was stocked with cleaning and toiletry supplies in the closets. The owners were incredibly responsive and even helping us recover an item we accidentally left behind after checking out.Highly recommend!

Thanks for the lovely review!
So glad you enjoyed your stay during your artist residency and that the house worked well for your needs. I'm happy the location, parking and downstairs bedroom made things convenient for everyone.
No problem at all helping with your left item - happens to the best of us! Really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and you're welcome back anytime.
All the best,
Larkin & Rob
Plenty of space for 5 high school girlfriends celebrating a 50th birthday. Lovely decor, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen. Old city home with lots of charm, hardwood floors, and interesting quirks.
We parked and entered from the back doors. The lock on the outside gate was not the easiest to navigate late at night. The house backed to an alleyway and was next to a parking lot that had pedestrian traffic.
