About Megan

We have vacationed in Hull for years, and finally bought a house here. We have designed it to be a lovely, relaxing spot with all the amenities needed for a worry-free family vacation for our growing family and yours!

Megan purchased this house in 2011

Why Megan chose Hull

Hull is a fun, funky town with lovely beaches and direct access to Boston (for those days when we have to go to work!). Also the neighborhood is very close-knit, safe, and family friendly.

What makes this house unique

The home was completely renovated in 2011. Did we mention there are THREE decks?? :)

Excellent Rental in Summer or Winter

  • 5 of 5

We have rented this house as our winter home for two years now. It is a great location for commuting with the ferry (less than 5 minute walk), is right next to the youth soccer fields, is right next to the high school, is a short walk to the library and park, and is close to two beaches on the point. Hull is a wonderful town and the only reason we aren't renting again is that we're buying our own home in town. Megan is also the best landloard you could ask for.

Cute cottage close for visiting Boston and south shore towns

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Megan's house in August with the intention of touring around Boston for a couple of days. We do not normally like staying right downtown while visiting a city, and Hull was the perfect location. Nice quiet sea-side town, with an excellent ferry service to Boston (20 minutes max). The cottage is very well laid out, and has a lot of room. The kitchen was larger than expected, and the small sitting area near the sliding doors was lovely in the morning, catching the sunrise. You are literally less than a 5 minute walk to the ferry terminal, which suited our needs. We went on lovely walks of the neighbourhood each morning and evening, and even though we were there for only 5 days, we really felt like it was our "home away from home"! Although our intentions were to see mostly Boston, we decided to tour the towns south of Hull and drove to Cape Cod during our stay as well. I was impressed with the small quaint villages along the coast, and wouldn't hesitate to return to this area and Megan's cottage again to explore even more. A wonderful location, and homey cottage made this a great family vacation.

Seaside charmer yet still convenient to Boston!

  • 5 of 5

We had the opportunity to spend the winter at Megan's house, our "winter beach house." After living in the city, we were looking for the chance to escape our busy city lives, have a unique experience (which winters in Hull can be!) and still be convenient to our jobs in Boston. This house offers the perfect combination of beachside living with the convenience we sought. The house is one block from the beach and the boat into Boston, which is a great experience on its own. Although it's on the very tip of Hull, the drive into town is fairly quick and there are so many great restaurants and shops in Hull and nearby Hingham. The house itself is adorable - good use of space, attention to detail, fully stocked and is decorated lovely. The bedrooms/closets are on the smaller side but are very functional with comfortable furniture. There are AWESOME decks on both the first and second floors - we loved sitting on the upper deck with our dogs and a glass of wine, watching the sunset or the boats come in. On clear nights, we could even see the sparkle of the city!

For those considering a stay in the summer, this house is the PERFECT location to enjoy a somewhat quieter beach than Nantasket (although is a quick drive or bike ride to Nantasket if you prefer), with the convenience both to town and Boston. For those considering a stay during the off-season, this house offers a peaceful retreat from busy city life. Winters in Hull are actually quite lovely; the mist that covers the ocean in the winter offers an almost romantic backdrop for this peaceful escape!

Happy Family Holiday in the sun

  • 5 of 5

Six of us, 2 Grandparents, 2 Parents & 2 Grandchildren 7 & 8 rented this charming house for two weeks. It was perfect for the kids, being two minutes from the beach and and almost traffic free. Road access to the city by road was about an hour twenty. The ferry was great about half an hour to the Aquarium and a fun ride. we had several visits from guests for lunch who really enjoyed the trip. We were really made to feel welcome, and access instructions were very good, the property was clean and tidy and had everything we needed, including loads of beach towels, for the swimming beach nearby, good local Supermarket, and very good Saltwater Diner down the road. I would certainly recommend this property to family or friends.

Enjoy the pier, the beach, the feeling of ocean

  • 5 of 5

My cousin and I and our kids spent a week at Megan's house. the neighbors' were so friendly and offered us a chance to use their surf board, ocean is on both sides of the street, the beach is a few miles away so get there early before 9 am to get free parking, the carousel from my childhood still stands, yummy places to eat, nice tourists/tons of families, sunsets are beautiful. Megan has a nice, well maintained house, bought a really nice new coffee maker before we arrived (how did she know I love coffee!), comfortable beds, nice house, plenty of space, cable tv, games, grill, etc. We would definitely stay there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our Summer Getaway from the City!

  • 5 of 5

Our 2 week stay in this cute cottage was absolutely wonderful! The house was clean upon arrival and has this really nice cozy feel! The kitchen had most everything we needed (which is something we tend to have an issue with in rentals). The bedrooms were small but so cute and frankly we only spent time in them to sleep since we were either taking walks down to the windmill and lighthouse and/or going to the beach everyday! Many mornings we enjoyed walking with our 13 week old baby girl, our boxer and our friends with their kids to the lighthouse and getting coffee while watching the gorgeous view as well as a couple of early risers fishing off the end of the dock! After long days at the beach, we would come home to grill up dinner off the back porch which was awesome! The owner made sure that we had propane and had an extra tank in their basement just in case we it had run out. :) The neighborhood was super friendly and we enjoyed many mornings and evenings just sitting on the front porch in the surprisingly very comfortable rocking chairs smelling the salt air!

We also went to Joe's Nautical bar which is 2 min away from the house where we were met with such friendly owners, bartenders and people! We had a blast playing music on the juke box and drinking wine! All in all, we had a FABULOUS time! I have to add also that this was one of the nicest pet friendly houses we have stayed in! We even took our Boxer to the local groomer who was soooo sweet and had a great story of how she opened her shop. :)

Our experience was so great in all ways! We had so many of our friends visit that we all decided to look into a house in Hull for next summer, just a bigger one because now there's more people! :)) I totally recommend this house to anyone! Much thanks to the owner, oxox :)
