A warm 'thank you' to all of our past family, friends, and guests; we appreciate you choosing our home for your vacation / get away.

A very nicely renovated with beachy decor, 4 bedroom / 2.5 bath townhouse. Our home is well equipped and well maintained.

We include 'wireless Internet' // 'beach tags' // 3 cable connected flat screen TV's.

Located on 40th street, our home is only 2.5 blocks to one of the nicest beaches on the island and just 1/2 block to the recreation center/playground with swings, climbing bars, tennis courts, basketball, boccie ball, etc and just a short walk into town.

The main bedroom located on the 2nd floor has its own private bathroom with shower and separate vanity/sink; as well as, a flat-screen TV. Also on the 2nd floor, there is a powder room discreetly located - a full kitchen with kitchen table & chairs along with a breakfast bar & 3 stools... there is also a sitting area with 2 chairs. The 2nd floor kitchen is well equipped with stainless appliances. The 2nd floor family room has new hardwood floors, newer couch & love seat, and a new wall mounted flat-screen TV - with vaulted ceiling & skylight. There is a deck with sliding glass doors leading out to the 2nd floor deck with table & chairs.

The 1st floor has '3' bedrooms, a full bathroom, along with a washer & dryer for your convenience. One bedroom has a queen & single bed, another bedroom has '2' single beds, while the third bedroom has a single bed and a futon bunk-bed (which sleeps '3'); this bedroom also has a flat screen TV with cable & DVD for the children (many easily hook up game consoles). This typically helps keep a little separation when the parents want to relax in the upstairs family room; as such, this bedroom provides a nice escape room for the children ; )

Our deck & back yard have gas grills along with table and chairs - there is a nice size fully enclosed outside shower and guaranteed off-street parking for '2' vehicles.

If you are looking for a nice, clean, well appointed home to enjoy some fun & sun, I do not believe you will be disappointed. About 70% of our guests have stayed at our home in a prior year (many come back year after year after year).

This place was a great find!! This well equipped home was very clean and comfortable with such a nice decor. The location was perfect...a quick and easy walk to a spacious beach and a quick bike ride to great places in the center of town. Our family of 9 enjoyed our stay here! We've been coming to the area for over 10 years and were very happy to have found this home this year. The owner is very responsive and made renting super easy! Thank you!!

EXCELLENT PROPERTY - GREAT LOCATION - CLEAN & COMFORTABLE

I wanted to send a review for the home which we stayed just this past summer in July and recently booked for next summer. The home was extremely well kept and the owner was very easy to work with during the entire process. We have been vacationing at the NJ shore for many years and found this home to be the most accommodating. My husband and I found the home well equipped. We had plenty of room for our family of 6. We were surprised to find out that this home included beach tags. This really helped with our family budgeting and eliminated unnecessary expenses. We were able to walk to the beach and even into town. We have already booked another week for next summer and delighted to know the price was not increased from last years rate. This was very unusual for us since we are accustomed to pay more every year. Thank you to the home owners who treated us like we were family instead of just strangers renting from them. Thank you for everything Bob we look forward to next summer.

Red Flag--Head's Up!

We stayed at this rental last summer. It was clean, comfortable, modern and in a nice area. We love the Jersey shore and have rented here for years. We actually owned a beach front home in RI that we rented for many summers. So it was much to our surprise that after a nice stay here, the owners decided NOT to return our deposit. We are a nice, responsible family with 3 kids, all mature and respectful, and all over the age of 9. Apparently the owners accused us of breaking a slat on a cheap set of blinds, and breaking a knob off of a cheap, antiquated dresser. All of which we do not recall happening at all. As I stated earlier, we rented our home out for years and NEVER had to keep someone's deposit, even under much worse circumstances!!! Unless the place is trashed, I find it to be in extreme poor taste. We take pride in our responsibilities and were very insulted. If the owners were even a tad agreeable we would have offered to pay for the "damage". But they did not seem to want to work with us AT ALL and instead kept our entire deposit!!! Since we do have a lot of experience in renting, and we do appreciate when renters leave things behind like books, paper goods, condiments for others to use, we did the same and left some things behind, and THAT apparently was frowned upon as well. Oh, well. They needed our money more than we did I guess. So a head's up, if you have an active family with kids and if you may not be Martha Stewart, I would think twice about staying here. Their views on clean and neat are subjective and it will threaten you receiving your hard-earned money back!!!!! By the way, we NEVER had this problem anywhere else and we've been renting all over the world for years!!

Owner's Response: Hi Lori & Larry: I was hesitant to respond, although knowing others may read your inaccurate account, I decided to respond. It's interesting that you wrote this review even after more than a year passed since your stay. Please know you are the only family in 10+ years of renting where security deposit was withheld. I’d be happy to show you pictures of our trashed home. You indicated that it was merely you & your 3 children, although the signed lease indicated 4 adults + 5 children. You mentioned siblings & family vacationing with you, this happens a lot. Just this summer, we had 5 multi-family guests at our home (our home works very well with multi-family guests). Insofar as items left behind - you left open items in cupboards, refrigerator, freezer, bedrooms, and counter-tops that were half full & not fit for the next family’s consumption or use. I can appreciate clean & neat being subjective however for you to go an entire week without taking out trash & leaving it behind is not my interpretation of clean & neat. Security deposits protect homeowners & proved valuable to our family. Regarding blinds, our window blinds are all 3 years old, except the one which we had to replace due to your negligence. You portrayed an inaccurate accounting in your review including trashing our home, number of guests, cheap binds, items left behind. Even your date of stay is inaccurate. As you stated 08 Aug - your stay was the week of 26 July - 02 Aug 2014. In all, this was truly a disturbing experience for our family since 99.999% of our guests respect our home as though it were their own. I might also add how sad if was for the next family that had to check-in after your family disrespected our vacation home (I trust you are happy that your inconsiderate behavior interfered with another family’s vacation). In closing, I simply refer to the many 5 star ratings & positive verbiage from other very happy family’s that come back year after year; showing a customary respect for other people’s property. Some of the headliners, It's Always Sunny at Bob's. Perfect vacation location and spectacular property. Conveniently Located and Maintained to Perfection. A wonderful gem. Great vacation spot!

Nicely decorated, well-equipped, spotless townhome with great location just 2 blocks from the beach. Considerable privacy and great ocean breezes on the front deck. Private bedroom upstairs, and 3 spacious bedrooms downstairs for family or guests. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Owner is very responsive and accommodating too.

Gorgeous Family Vacation Home in Avalon, NJ

My family absolutely loves to vacation in Avalon, NJ thanks to this beautiful home away from home. We have always found this home to be immaculately clean and our expectations have always been more than met. We would never stay anywhere else. We love that this home holds my parents, my family of 4, and my brother's family of 3, who by the way, travel all the way from Texas for this awesome yearly vacation. The house lay out is more than exceptional. Three bedrooms, a laundry area, and a full bath downstairs are more than spacious. Upstairs has a nice sized kitchen with eating area, gorgeous family room, a half bath, and a master bedroom with a full bath. To top it off, there is a beautiful deck with an umbrella and comfy furniture where we all gather for our morning coffee and enjoy the ocean air. There is an outdoor private shower, which the kids love to use after playing on the beach all day. We cannot speak highly enough of this gorgeous vacation home. We hope you all enjoy it as much as my family does and will continue to in the future. We never want to leave.

We really enjoyed this wonderful Avalon home

This was one of the best places we have stayed in at the Jersey shore. We have been coming to the shore for over 10 years with our family of 5. My husband and our 3 children had a wonderful time last year at this home and we were hoping it wasn't just by chance. So we booked it again for our vacation in July this year and were not disappointed. The home even had a few more upgrades from the previous year and the owner [Bob] is simply one of the nicest people. He was very helpful last year and this year. He even offered some great tips on where to eat. Last year when we check in the home was spotlessly clean. This year was no different. Our family especially likes the location of this home. We were able to walk to the beach. Their is a playground just around the corner for our children. And the center of town is merely a short walk. We walked into town 3 nights during our stay. We went to dinner two nights and and another night we walked to the arcade on boardwalk and had ice cream. This home is well maintained and cared for by the owners. Our family also likes the inclusion of beach tags with this rental as it is just one less thing to worry about. Really what more could we ask. Needless to say we plan on returning next summer.
