Lakeside Ranch is a rare one-story home on desirable Tourist Road, offering easy access to off-road trails, hiking, and some of the North side’s best fishing spots. The home comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests and is just a short drive from restaurants, groceries, and local shops.
Set on a private, tree-lined lot with a lush yard perfect for games and outdoor fun, the home features a covered patio overlooking the water. Fire up the gas grill, dine outside, and take in stunning sunset views. In the evening, gather around the fire pit in your private backyard and enjoy a quiet night under the stars.
This property typically includes a private boat launch (best suited for most boats except pontoons) and a dock. Everything was fantastic except the fact that we could not make use of the boat launch or dock due to the low water levels. Unfortunately, we brought a boat with us and had to pay to put it in at one of the marinas and leave it there. Also, we were unable to use the fireplace due to the condition of the chimney. Would have been nice on the chilly evenings. Aside from that the stay was amazing.
Great place to stay, was just my wife and myself. We wanted specifically the boat launch to launch our jetski, we were able to do it but it was not optimal. (shallow) its ok the view was great and we only launched once and kept it tied to the dock. The bedrooms on west end of house were good, overflow bedrooms into east end of house was a bit musty and up north unopened cabin like. We did not use this area. The hot tub was clean and nice at the end of the day on the water or on the trails. Nice view facing north the stars were great..
The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was the east end bedrooms. Though it didn't affect my stay, we kept them closed up. If you only plan to use the 2 bedrooms on east end with kings its 5 star, or at least 4.7.. Though the shower water pressure might make it a 5, it was amazing and I am trying to figure out how to do this in my house now hahah
We cook all our meals the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, dishes, etc... what you need to prepare and make your meals. We stayed 10 days
Rented for family sxs trip. Circle drive was great. Tourist Rd shows it going through to the north on all my maps and apps... it does not. It doesn't add much distance to the parking area near Pins, but might have changed my decision had I known. I did kayak, but water is really low. I had to put on my muck boots and walk out past the end of the dock. House is huge. Found everything we needed in the kitchen. Ice maker makes ice, but chute doesn't work. We just put the ice in a big bowl. Dining area had seating for 6. Chairs and couch comfy. Two huge bedrooms on kitchen end had comfy beds. Other queen room off the living room is not as big but had a beautiful view and comfy bed. We didn't end up using the other "bedroom" except to walk through it to get to the laundry room. Not sure I'd want kids in this room as it is kind of in a breezeway area with lots of chemicals and such in the closets... maybe put some child locks on them? Lots of yard games. Bathrooms had super water pressure. We were given one set of towels each for 8 days... Of course this time I forgot to bring extra. Washer and dryer came in handy! There were "dog only" towels in one of the bathrooms, which we didn't realize until we had used them for ourselves... Maybe store in a different spot. Our dogs loved it there. Yard is secluded and away from the road. Lock to the patio is fixed, which is good because the front door is tricky. Firepit is on an angle in the rocks in a bad spot. Very slippery in the dew.
