★ Large seating couch for relaxation plus collection of books and board games, perfect for lazy afternoons indoors.

READING NOOK & MUSIC HAVEN
★ A reading nook that offers a serene retreat with its comfortable seating area and expansive picture windows overlooking the natural landscape.

KITCHEN & DINING
★ The well-equipped kitchen awaits your culinary adventures, featuring a wood-burning stove, refrigerator, stacked oven, stove, dishwasher, and ample countertop space.
★ Pull up a seat at the kitchen bar and engage in lively conversation while preparing meals. With kitchenware and dinnerware provided, enjoy the convenience of whipping up delicious dishes.
★ Gather around the dining table and savor your culinary creations amidst the company of loved ones.

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
★ Retreat to the master bedroom suite, where a king bed awaits alongside an ensuite full bath featuring a large soaking tub, walk-in shower, sauna, and a private balcony with a seating area.
★ The second bedroom with its queen bed, also boasts an ensuite bathroom for added convenience. Additionally, it features a pull-out sleeper sofa for extra sleeping space and a selection of children's books, ensuring a comfortable stay for guests of all ages.
★ A cozy Basement Lounge awaits with a queen bed, a variety of books, and additional seating for relaxation or extra sleeping arrangements.
★ There is also a half bathroom on the main level for added convenience.

OUTDOOR OASIS
★ Step out onto the expansive wraparound deck and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature while dining al fresco.
★ Discover a cozy picnic table nestled beneath the pergola on the patio, where a gentle porch swing invites you to unwind.
★ Parking is available with space for one vehicle in the garage and additional parking in the driveway.

FIREWOOD AVAILABILTY
★ Guests are kindly requested to bring their own firewood for the indoor fireplace. Any on-site firewood is reserved for the owner’s use only.
★ Firewood can be purchased at most local gas stations or grocery stores.
★ For your comfort, every room in the house does have electric baseboard heat with its own thermostat.

🚫 LIMITED AMENITIES 🚫
• Please be aware that this mountain retreat does not have air conditioning, as it benefits from the cooler temperatures of its elevated location. However, ceiling fans and a radiant heat system ensure comfort throughout the seasons.
• We are limited to satellite internet, which means there is just not enough bandwidth to stream anything. We pay for the best Wi-Fi available, and it's still not good enough. It's our only internet option here for now.
• The TV in the property does not have TV service. However, we do provide a DVD player and a selection of DVDs for your entertainment.
• Please note that several owner's closets are locked in the living room, bedrooms and basement. These are private areas and are not accessible to guests.
• The 2-car garage is available, but only one spot is designated for guest use. Please note that all items inside are for the owner's use only, except for the snow shovel, which guests are welcome to use.
• Our cabin features a large soaking tub for relaxation. However, the jets in the tub have entered retirement many moons ago.
• The outdoor grill is no longer available in order to comply with county regulations.

❄️ WINTER RESERVATIONS ❄️
• Guests must have a 4-wheel drive vehicle equipped with snow-capable tires. Rear-wheel-drive vehicles are not recommended.
• While the road to the cabin is regularly plowed, guests may need to clear the walkway and parking area themselves.

⏰ Late check-out requires prior approval. Unapproved late check-outs will be charged hourly based on our cleaning team’s rate.

📷 Please note that we have installed an exterior camera facing the front of the house to ensure the safety and security of both our guests and the property. There are no cameras inside the property. Our cameras are motion-activated and recordings are stored in the cloud. Do not unplug or tamper with any security devices, including the Ring Camera, or any other essential devices.

- ABOUT OUR BOOKING REQUIREMENTS -

📝 Rental Agreement & Government ID:
Our insurance company requires a clear definition of the guest-host relationship, hence the need for a rental agreement. This agreement confirms the terms between our guests and our company. The signer of the rental agreement must match the government ID provided.

💳 Security Deposit:
A security deposit "hold" of $500 is required for all reservations. It is a temporary hold on the card processed by "Stripe," a widely trusted credit card processor. This hold will take place 2 days before your arrival and will be released 2 days after your departure, provided that the property is left in good condition and the house rules are followed.

✅ These requirements are standard for all our properties and are part of our commitment to maintaining the properties we manage on behalf of our owners. They provide assurance to our property owners and protect us from situations where damage caused by guests may not be adequately covered by platform protections.

Not great, but good overall.Overall, it was a nice place to stay. And it could use some improvements.There isn't sufficient lighting in the second BR. It was an issue at night, and we had to make do with the relatively dim lamps they had.They asked us to watch a video tutorial on how to use the confusing light switches, because there's a 'master' switch in each room. Not how I want to spend my vacation, personally.The door to the balcony off the main BR doesn't work. We had to just leave it alone and not use it.The first morning we were there, we woke up with no electricity. I had to drive away from the property to get enough signal to communicate with the property manager. Again, not how we wanted to spend our vacation. By the time he got back to me, the electricity was back on (thankfully! But after several hrs). The property manager, (in a nice tone), basically told us "oh well, you deal with it." IMO, that's not a reasonable response when we're paying to be somewhere, but we can't turn on the lights, charge devices, use appliances, don't know if there's enough hot water, and have to leave the property. Not the owner's or PM's fault, but they also could have offered a credit or SOMETHING. We spent several hours trying to figure out what to do. Not to sound whiny, because sh*t happens, but should it be on us, as the vacationing, paying guests to figure it all out? We didn't think so. A credit of some sort would have been a reasonable consideration, IMO.

The home does have some unique features, like its lighting setup, which we share in our guidebook before arrival so guests can feel comfortable navigating everything. We’ll continue refining our instructions to make them as easy as possible. We completely understand how frustrating the unexpected power outage must have been, especially while on vacation.
