I was very pleased with my stay. There were a few areas that needed cleaning, a couple of items on a carpet that might have been missed, and someone left hair in a bathroom drawer, but overall it was a fantastic home! The location was very convenient to visit downtown Raleigh. I would stay there again.

Host had great communication. Location to downtown Raleigh was great (driving not walking). The only issue we had was with the electricity in the bedroom upstairs, but we let the host know and it was quickly fixed and we were compensated for it Would stay here again!

The house was very spacious, and 2 private bedrooms. I loved the porch swing and the neighborhood was close to downtown but nice and quiet. The only complaint was that the bath towels are small and not very luxurious, and the pillows for the beds were awful...very lumpy and only 2 small pillows for each bed. Easy upgrade to make this listing feel like so much more!

Rough around the edges

This is not in an unsafe neighborhood but it is a bit sketchy. The house was ok to hang out at night but durig the day, not so much because you see all the faults. The kitchen wasnt clean enough and there were ants. The glasses were sticky. The outdoor furniture was filthy and moldy. There is no overhead light in master bedroom. The shower near the small bedroom is clogged and fills up with water And needs to be fixed

Overview

Overall nice when first entering the house, but we found ants in the kitchen sink area and the master bathroom area, throughout the weekend. We were gone most of the time other than nights. The area is in a transitional stage, but didn’t feel the safest. The first night didn't get much sleep. Had people walking through the yard coming and going to the adjoining vacant lot until 2:00 am. The thermostats were a little tricky to change temperatures, but figured them out after messing with them a little. My suggestion is to have written instructions for the thermostats, tv, trash and dirty towel's posted in the house. We have stayed at 4 other VRBO’s in Raleigh that did this. Not a bad place, but currently would not recommend it or stay there again. The area just felt sketchy and not safe with people roaming the streets at all hours.
