Hosted by Yen Ly & Jonah Swiderski
Orca Island Cabins is a remote, off-the-grid property in scenic Resurrection Bay located 9 miles southeast of Seward, Alaska. The property is owned and operated by lifelong Alaskan Jonah Swiderski and his wife Yen Ly. The property was built by hand over 20+ years, a labor of love by now owner Jonah along with his father and original owner, Denis, and brother and current head of marine operations, Simon. Together, the family set-out to create a unique retreat offering renewal among nature.
Why they chose this property
Orca Island Cabins offers unique yurt accommodations on a private island and mainland acreage in scenic Humpy Cove. Upon arrival at the island, guests enjoy comfortable and stylish overnight accommodations with Alaska wildlife and marine life right outside your cabin door, including Orca and Humpback whales, harbor seals, harbor porpoise, Steller sea lions, sea and river otters, bald eagles and many other bird varieties. This is a very special Alaska experience.
3 yurts are located on Orca Island and 5 yurts are positioned on mainland property next to the island connected by an 80 ft. footbridge. Our property is in a temperate rain forest, offering beautiful foliage and trees coated in lush green moss atop dramatic mountains that rise directly from the ocean.
