Welcome to Barefoot Beach Resort, a laid-back spot on the best beach of Lake Huron. Cabin 2 is the kind of place where you can drop your bags, kick off your shoes, and unwind for a few days.
It’s a 2-bedroom, 1-bath cabin with that classic up-north feel—knotty pine walls, freshly painted cabinets, and new mattresses to crash on after a day in the sun. The beach is steps away, the fire pits are right on the sand, and the cabins are simple, clean, and ready for a good time.
The Space:
☀ Two bedrooms with queen beds + a big, comfy couch (sleeps 5)
☀ One bathroom—small but works just fine
☀ Full kitchen with painted cabinets + a 4-person dining table
☀ Living room with Roku TV (if you feel like turning it on)
☀ Charcoal grill, picnic table, patio chairs, and some beach toys
☀ Shared fire pits literally on the beach
☀ High-speed Wi-Fi (good enough for Zoom, if you must)
☀ Easy self-check-in, no keys or hassle
☀ Starter Kit: Coffee, paper towels, soap, trash bags, toilet paper (restock as needed)

☆☆ You’re basically on the beach ☆☆
You’re a few steps from soft sand and the kind of sunrises people actually set alarms for. It’s
laid-back and peaceful, and you don’t need to do much to enjoy it.
☆☆ Enough updates to feel fresh ☆☆
We’ve made some upgrades—new mattresses, some paint, little touches around the
edges—while keeping the cozy cabin character that made this place what it is.
☆☆ Grilling, s’mores, and bonfires on the beach ☆☆
Bring the marshmallows. The shared fire pits are right on the lake, and there’s nothing better than
ending your day watching the fire crackle and waves roll in.
☆☆ Great for families, couples, or fishing trips ☆☆
Whether you're trying to get the kids sandy and tired, spend a weekend unplugged with your
partner, or sneak in one last cast before sunset, this place works.

It was a wonderful week of sunshine and sand. The beach was amazing and the water was clean. The cabin was a cute knotty pine and just what we needed to unwind and relax. The wifi was excellent. The beds were awesome. There's was only one night/day that we could have used some A/C.

We're so glad you and your friends enjoyed a weekend getaway, Julie!
It was a nice cabin and right on the beach. The only issue was the mattresses were not very comfortable. My in-laws had very little sleep the first night and one slept on the couch and the other had to sleep with her head at the foot of the bed to be able to sleep.

I'm surprised to hear this, Kim, we just replaced all the mattresses in May!
The cabins were cozy. The walls were very thin and felt like the interiors were original from the 40s or the 50s and there was old wiring and outlets but it gave it a rustic feeling that I liked. Beach was nice but we didn't go swimming. The shower was tiny but a bigger shower will not fit so I can't complain. It was nice.
