About this property
Private and Comfortable 3 Bedroom House
Whatever the Season there's so much to see and do. Summer is for relaxing. There's so much to do in the Finger Lakes. But sometimes just taking it easy and relaxing is too good to pass up. Judy's Guest House is the place for this. Air conditioning inside, when the weather is too hot to venture out. A shaded patio with a propane grill is just asking for a Shish-ke-bob and a huge green salad.
Starting in June there is the firefly spectacular. The lawn, trees and nearby fields are alive with millions of flashing lights. Time to sit outside with a cool drink and just watch nature at its best. And there is always a great fireworks display in July.
Or grab a pole (make sure you have a license) and bring home a fresh trout or bass for dinner! Fishing is really great here and Cayuga Lake has hosted the Bassmaster Elite Tournament and Festival in past years. If you're not the relaxing type, here are just a few things that can make your summer come alive. • Cinemas • Antiquing • Horseback Riding • Museums • Live Theater • Boating • Parasailing • Sight Seeing • Finger Lakes Wine Trail • Kayaking • Fishing • Sailing • Swimming • Restaurants • Theater • Music • Trumansburg Farmer's Market • Cabin View Alpaca Farm -lovely Alpaca items for sale • Glenwood Farms Bison • Cornell • Ithaca College • Waterloo Premium Outlet with 100 brand name stores • Hector National Forest • Harris Hill Soaring Center • Watkins Glen International Race Track • Corning Glass • Night Life • Ithaca Farmer’s Market • Goat Cheese Trail • Newman Arboretum • Sonnenburg Gardens • Seward Museum • Harriet Tubman Home

Unresponsive host that I cannot recommend based on our visit. The heat was unreliable in bitter temps and there was luke warm water. We are very disappointed. The maintenance manager agreed that thermostat wasn’t working like normal but the host was not reasonable, responsive, compassionate or understanding of health safety issues at all! We had no choice but to leave the next day because the host did not offer any solutions for the unreliability of the heat and hot water issues in frigid temperatures. She was surprisingly unwilling to offer any refund to us to compensate the remaining days of our trip. We were there to celebrate Christmas and visit our daughters for the holidays. We’ve never had such a bad experience through Vrbo. Be careful if you choose to stay here. We strongly do not recommend it.
Amazing place. Judy was fantastic and super inviting. Definitively going back to this lovely cottage again. The place is tranquil and surrounded by farms and wildflowers. Highly highly recommended!! -- The Nair Family
This is a comfortable house for a visit to the area. It is in a country setting, , between Cauyuga and Seneca Lakes, few miles outside of Ithica. Everything was within a 30 minute drive or less. Large yard, stream, island, lightening bugs and deer!
This is our 2nd year coming here. We love it so much. We are a family that enjoys nature and Judys guest house provides that from the lighting bug show at night and the stream to play in and all the birds its perfect!! We will be back again next year. Also its so close to everything!! If your not into bugs look for another place they keep in natural which we love but thats not for everyone.
For us it was a perfectly pleasant rural retreat offering quick access to waterfalls, wineries, and the many attractions, stores and restaurants of Ithaca. The price was exceptional without added fees for pets and cleaning. The bedding and towels were clean. The kitchen is pretty well supplied including a jug water dispenser. We found the place very homey, well laid out, with most everything we needed for a stress-free stay. The whole house AC was great. The king beds were comfortable, not so much the hard twin bed. And it's probably time to update the couch. All in all, a solid place to stay. We recommend Judy's holiday house.
Basic house in the country that needs a bit of TLC. On the outside there are rotting window surrounds and cladding, on the inside the floors are not level and rotting? under the lino. But there are some good amenities, gas BBQ, air conditioning, fridge, cooker, washer drier and multiple Tvs,. I can confirm its weather tight after the thunderstorms we had and comfortable to stay in. Although in the countryside its close to things and a good base for exploring the area.
This is our second time staying at Judy’s cottage. Great location for our pups and very peaceful. Right between Trumansburg and Ithaca so a quick drive to anything. Judy is a gracious host, house is welcoming. Will definitely stay again. Thank you Judy!

Host is pleasant and an excellent communicator. Beds are very comfortable. The house is not level and slants in some areas, like the bathroom, which brought on vertigo in one of my guests. Other than that, the location, the cost and the ability to bring our dog made our stay worthwhile. Thank you.
We always enjoy staying here. The host even helped us out when bad weather delayed our departure this time around. We will definitely stay again in the future!
