This place is very quiet and restful, perfect for relaxing and taking a break from busy daily life.. Everything felt comfortable and well cared for, and the surroundings added to the sense of calm. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was exceptionally clean ā€” I usually travel with my own cleaning supplies, but I didnā€™t need to use them at all. The kitchen was very well stocked, which made meals easy and enjoyable (I did bring my own toaster, but thatā€™s just because we really love our toast).I loved the dĆ©cor throughout the home, and the thoughtful labeling of the cabinets and drawers made it so easy to find everything without searching around. The childrenā€™s bedroom was the cutest ā€” such a charming touch that made the space feel even more welcoming. Since we stayed for two weeks, I also used the washing machine and dryer. Both were spacious and modern, and I loved the cheerful little jingle they played when the loads were done.The location was peaceful and tucked away from the main road. I truly enjoyed waking up to the sounds of roosters, birds, and the quiet of the countryside.Our host was very responsive, and her detailed instructions for checkā€‘in, checkā€‘out, and house guidelines were incredibly helpful.Overall, this was a comfortable, quiet, and wellā€‘caredā€‘for home, and we really enjoyed our stay.

We liked that the location was pretty secluded and close to town. Did not like that I had to wash all the towels upon arriving bc the sour smell when wet and blankets didnā€™t smell fresh. There was 1 wash cloth and 2 hand towels. The shampoo/cond/body wash was terrible. Not the best water pressure and shower heads were installed for very short people. Grass was unmowed until the last day which made it hard with a dog. Coffee pot didnā€™t work. The floors in the house were terrible. No toaster. Weā€™ve always seen where hosts supply paper towels, dish soap/sponges, cleaner and sometimes laundry soap, not the case. The pull out trundle mattresses were super bad. There were also flying palmetto bugs everywhere in the house as well as a huge spider. Spider webs in corners and back porch is rotting in many areas. The place really needs an overhaul inside and out. The host was very nice and friendly to deal with when wifi was messed up (due to storm). It was really nice seeing the wildlife on the property (deer and turkey in the yard)

Thank you for your feedback. Iā€™m truly sorry some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Cleanliness and guest comfort are very important to us, so I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Regarding the towels and blankets, they are always washed between every guest stay. We use fragrance free laundry detergent because some guests have allergies or sensitivities to strong scents, but I can assure you everything was freshly cleaned before arrival. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided are standard hotel style amenities. The shower in the master bathroom is actually quite high, while the second bathroom has a more standard height setup. I also appreciate you mentioning the water pressure issue, as this is something I will definitely look into. The grass is maintained regularly for safety and comfort, and Iā€™m sorry if it felt inconvenient during your stay with your dog. I also was not aware the coffee maker was not working, so thank you for letting me know. It will be replaced immediately. Our home is stocked with many complimentary essentials and extras for guests, including coffee, tea, sugar, cooking oils, spices, dish soap, dishwasher tablets, laundry detergent, trash bags, kitchen and BBQ utensils, baby items, toiletries, board games, floats, toys, and more. We truly try our best to make the home comfortable and well equipped for families and groups. As mentioned in our listing and welcome information, the property is surrounded by nature and trees in the High Springs area, so insects can occasionally appear, especially during warmer months despite the home being professionally fumigated regularly. Iā€™m very sorry the stay did not fully meet your expectations. During your visit, I understood everything was going well, and I would have gladly tried to help resolve any concerns if I had known about them at the time. Iā€™m happy you still enjoyed the peaceful location, wildlife, and privacy of the property.

Perfect hideaway

The photos do not do this place justice. The decor is lovely. The beds are very comfortable and the space is way bigger than in looks. Our favorite was the location. Itā€™s a larger property tucked away in the trees with complete privacy. The local town is very cute with shops and local restaurants closeby. We spent a lovely day at Poe springs Which is minutes away. We will definitely book here again next time we travel to the area.

Restful During Stressful Time

The Green Hideaway provided a much needed restful and very peaceful place during some stressful doctor visits at Shands. It allowed my family to pray, rest, and get away to the Springs in between appointments. Who knew we were so close to the National Shrine of Mary (Our Lady La Leche)? Although the diagnosis was not what I had hoped and I will have to return, perhaps the Green Hideaway will be available again. God Bless you, Daniela. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality.

Would absolutely recommend!

The check in process was a bit difficult because VRBO didnā€™t send instructions prior to check in and the address on the VRBO listing was incorrect, but Daniela was quick to help us! We had 6 adults and one 2.5y/o. There were tons of stuffed animals for the little one, kids utensils and plates, lots of board games to play, a kiddie pool, and a slip n slide! They had extra inner tubes to take to the springs, a fire pit which we enjoyed every night, several areas to hangout, extra chairs, and a Bluetooth speaker! The kitchen had everything we needed, to cook the meals we planned, and the entire VRBO was very clean. There were a decent amount of bugs, but thatā€™s to be expected in any wooded area. We loved this home and will be back next time weā€™re in the area!

Not quite as expected

Water bugs are a problem and kitchen necessities listed were not available. I messaged ahead of time to say we would be cooking at the house and we assured the basic kitchen necessities were available. We had to go buy Kitchen towels, dish towels, pot holders and paper towels. There was not hot water but was told to check the breaker and after heating up we did have hot water. Was a little inconvenient and disappointed having to purchase these items

There are pot holders, cleaning cloths, and dish towels availableā€”maybe they just werenā€™t easy to find. The kitchen is fully equipped with a variety of pots, plates, utensils, and even a nice selection of spices, cooking oil, sugar, salt, coffee, etc. Iā€™ll make sure to place these items in a more visible spot for future guests. We have several bouts of communication with the host some were timely some were not but we did always get some response. When we checked in there were SEVERAL bugs in the home some alive some dead. I took a broom and swept the floors and ceilings to try to clear the home of insects. Unfortunately we had the electricity go out for three hours the first evening. When it come back on we saw a LARGE spider running in the kitchen wall. When pulling covers and sheets down in master bed there was a live bug in sheets. The next morning a large spider web and two more LARGE spiders were in hall bathroom which we had to kill. At this point we had decided we could not stay at this property. We called VRBO and host to report our finding both parties understand and a refund is to be processed. I totally understand this property is out in a wooded area but we could not stay along side large bugs in the home. Host was very apologetic and wanted to do anything she could, but we decided the best thing was to leave the property.
