About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, 1 Half Baths, Sleeps 8

This charming, dog-friendly Government Camp vacation condo offers guests an exclusive resort experience, complete with recreational amenities like pools and saunas, plus a great location for a mountain getaway with friends and family.

Located in the prime Government Camp area, chalet at Collins Lake Condos on Mt Hood will have you hitting the slopes at all the major Mt. Hood ski resorts in no time. Skibowl is in walking distance, and Timberline and Mt Hood Meadows are just minutes away.

There's plenty of room for everyone to spread out in the living room to watch television or a movie on the 50'' HDTV, listen to music on the stereo, read, or play games. Unplug and getaway from it all, as there is no WiFi available.

The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances. The picnic style dining room table can seat up to eight and there is additional bar stool seating across the kitchen counter. In the warmer months, you can enjoy a BBQ on the deck overlooking the woods.

There are two bedrooms plus a loft, two full bathrooms, and a half bathroom. The master bedroom has a queen bed facing a window view of the woods, and a full private bath with tub. The second bedroom has a twin-over-full bunk bed, as does the loft. There's room for eight guests; a dog may join for a small nightly fee.

The ground floor has a heated garage with room for two cars, an air hockey table, plus bikes to use during the warmer months. There's plenty of room for storing your equipment, and a private washer/dryer.

When you're not skiing, you can relax at the Creekside Lodge where you'll find a indoor common space equipped with a massive wood burning hearth, sauna, year-round heated pool, hot tub, and another spring fed hot tub nestled creekside underneath the trees. Downtown Government Camp, full of restaurants and shops, and where you'll also find rental shops, a grocery store, post office, and museum, is just a short walk away. You can also commute to the slopes by shuttle bus from downtown.

Start your Oregon mountain getaway with a stay in a Lake Collins Condo today!

About Vacasa, OR - Mt Hood / Hood River Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Outdated technology, uncomfortable beds

  • 2 of 5

The condos are a decent layout, but the furnishings and technology was very outdated. Also, the extra fees we paid for our stay were more than the price paid per night.

Owner's Response: Our property manager attempted to contact the guest to gather more information but was unable to. Both he and the housekeeper went to the home to investigate but a thorough inspection didn't produce a strong odor of pet urine.

Great place

  • 4 of 5

Everything was very nice at the place. We really enjoyed it. I would have given a 5 but the upstairs window wasn't working during that time so it was so hot :(. Other than that it was really lovely

Great home, perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We had a great ski vacation at Mt Hood. The condo was great for our whole group and we loved walking through downtown, all very close to the home. Cant wait to come back.
