About Rhona and Carroll Kimble
We live close to the Potomac Overlook,My husband always wanted to build a small log cabin.Since being retired for a few years we purchased the small piece of land and have built this cabin to rent to people to enjoy and explore the beauty of our surrounding area like Smoke Hole canyon Seneca Rocks Dolly sods and Spruce Knob and lots of other interesting things to do like fishing, hunting, hiking to mention a few. We also have the HIdeaway Rental House which is located across the road from the cabin up in the woods that we rent also for the last 5 years.
Rhona and Carroll Kimble purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Rhona and Carroll Kimble chose Upper Tract
We chose to build cabin here because of the beautiful view and it is close to the Smoke Hole canyon where lots of people fish in the South Branch of the Potomac river. For more reviews of the cabin go to www.vacationhomerentals and click on WV and Smoke hole and read the posts on The potomac Overlook Cabin.

Wonderful time. Beautiful cabin, tastefully done!
Great place to relax. Kitchen well stocked with all we needed and clean
Comfortable and warm environment. Loved the back deck.
We had the best time at this cabin! It was clean, the owner was sweet, personable and welcomed us the first day. We never left the cabin (except to make a snowman - it snowed on the first day of spring! That gave this place the full effect of being in a cabin with the fireplace - so cozy! We didn't want to leave) Plus weather was nice enough before it snowed to sit at the fire pit a couple nights.
This was the perfect cabin for a perfect week. :)
Shireen, it was very nice to have you all stay at my Potomac Overlook cabin. I am glad you had a perfect week with the couple nice days and of course our beautiful spring snow of 5-6 inches here. Your snowman made the cabin so complete and really glad you decided to make one. This was actually the first snowman that was ever made at the cabin. Hope you all can return again. You left the cabin wonderful.

Close enough to perfect for me
This cabin has an intimate coziness about it, and it is absolutely adorably decorated. Everything we needed was available; clean linens, cookware, laundry, and views galore. We're already planning to return next fall.
In fact, I love the cabin so much that if I could, I would move in and call the place home!
This is a very cozy charming cabin and we wished we could have stayed longer!
Potomac Overlook is a great place to stay when visiting the Seneca Rocks area. It has a wonderful view and has everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. We also had some amazing autumn weather, warm and sunny. The owners were a pleasure to meet and were very hospitable. We hope to be able to return again for a longer stay!
It was delightful having you both stay at our Potomac Overlook cabin. Happy to know that you would like to return for a longer stay next time. Welcome back anytime.

Hap said you all were really nice people and I am sorry I never got up to meet you but I know you had a wonderful time exploring the area here and going to Cass railroad for the train ride. We are in a scenic area which you can drive thru the Smoke Hole Canyon come out on Rt 28 turn left and a short distant stop by the Smoke Hole caverans, take a tour plus shop at the new gift shop that just recently re-opened then contiune on 28 to the intersection go 33 east and visit at the Seneca Rock discovery center or horseback ride to the top of the rocks or continue on to the Seneca caverans for a tour there and maybe lunch at there restaurant there. also could also go on up to Nelson Rocks on the road to circleville and experience some rock climbing, or then go on to Cass railroad for a train ride. You won't be disappointed to visit are area.Other interest are Spruce Knob and beautiful lake, Dolly Sods Blackwater Falls to mention a few other point of interest.
