Great place with lots of kitchen, bathroom, and beach items. Great snorkeling. AC and Tv channels. Very nice host and property manager. Traffic on main road can be a little noisy, but that is only downside. Would definitely stay again.

This was a perfect location to explore the island. We loved the screened porch! This place was very spacious, air conditioning worked well, bed was comfy. There were coolers, chairs, beach towels, and umbrellas to borrow which was so great. The unit was clean and the gal that greeted us upon arrival, Chrissy, was friendly and helpful. She gave us her number and responded quickly when we asked for some local restaurant spots. We would 100% stay here again!

the bed and linen great which is very important for me as bad back. for the price it was exactly what you need. your not going to find a more economical place that has: good bed, plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas and ease of washing clothes. kitchen was perfect size.

Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay in Exuma for our 20th anniversary! Our Minn’s cottage was perfect for the week. We had everything we needed and plenty of room. The island and the people of Exuma are beautiful!!

Great hidden gem, for a good price, Monica was very good with communication and even stopped by to say hello. Enjoyed the serene beautiful spot with easy access to everything the island offers, can walk to local spots, but I say rent a car and explore the hidden beaches!!

The location was ideal since there is a beach right across the street. The only complaint is a bit of road noise from Queen's Highway and that there was no good dish cleaning utensils.

Homey and Welcoming

We loved staying at Minns cottages. The place was spacious, clean, well equipped. We had a great view and easy access to things. What was most special about it was how responsive and welcoming Micheal and Kissy were. Also - the people on the Island were kind and friendly. We socially loved being able to have a cookout l.

Perfect location! Beautiful cottage!

We had everything that we needed while staying at this cottage! The kitchen was well stocked, and there were plenty of clean towels. We were greeted right away by the kind Bahamian caretaker, she gave us a tour of the property and gave us the keys to our own little paradise for the week. There was an awesome secluded beach right across the street, which we frequented everyday! 10 stars for this cottage!!!

Great spot

Terrific location. Easy walk to both Georgetown and the fish fry. Comfy cozy cottage. We really appreciated the beach chairs, towels, and umbrella. The beach out front was too rough for snorkelling. But lots of other fabulous beaches to visit in the area. Highly recommend.

Nice property with a beautiful ocean view

The property is well located, near George Town and a small beach that is not crowded. The house is clean, but would benefit from upgrades, specially in the kitchen and the bathroom. The bedroom is large, and the bed comfortable. The availability of a communal BBQ grill is a plus. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Exactly what we wanted

We were greeted by someone when we checked in. Very friendly and great experience. The space was spacious and comfortable. Loved the screened in porch for meals and just enjoying the view of the ocean. Convenient location was close enough to town to walk, however we rented a car for our stay. Overall great experience and will definitely look at booking here again next time we visit the island.

First of all Monica and her team are amazing, They made me feel safe and comfortable as a solo female traveler. The cottage was perfect for me. It had everything that I needed. It was rustic and charming. So cute and comfy. The porch is enclosed and has a view that you can't beat. You also have your own beach just steps away. If you walk 5 minutes to the right you are in Georgetown. If you walk 10 minutes to the left you have the Fish Fry which is a great night out. When I come back to Exuma, I will stay in Ixora East at Minns Cottages. CAN'T WAIT!!!

Awesome Place! Great Location!

Great place. Great location. Close to town to pick up items. Private beach across the street with great snorkeling. Fully stocked kitchen that will save you some money, cooking breakfast or lunch at home. We loved the screened in porch at night for music and drinks, and also eating breakfast with a view. Host was very responsive to any requests we had. On-site laundry was great. Overall a really great experience and a great price.

Lovely, relaxing stay!

Across from a beach and walking distance to stores and restaurants. Older, but clean property. Well equipped with everything you need. You will need to bring shampoo and coffee but they supply a lot of towels, including beach towels. Also, beach chairs and coolers are available. The property manager is always available but not intrusive.

Nice place for the budget

Needs a face lift upgrade to kitchen and bathroom. has that 60/70's look . Bedroom nice and comfortable and appoint well. Road noise can be loud from trucks and smell of deasil fumes. but at night screened Poarch is mellow. All very good for budget minded young couple.

Before and during our trip, the host was very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions, including assisting us with arranging transportation to and from the airport. We were met upon arrival and they did a wonderful job showing us around and making us feel welcome. It was also wonderful because it’s across from a beach so we could stop back there on our boat days and hop off the boat anytime we needed. The cottage sits along the main road, so traffic noise can be noticeable both during the day and at night but it didn’t bother us. They had chairs, umbrellas, washer and dryer, full kitchen etc. we didn’t use any of those features but it’s nice to note for others who may. Overall, they provided exactly what we needed: an affordable, conveniently located place to stay while we spent our days enjoying everything Exuma has to offer. If you’re someone who prioritizes value, location, and practicality over luxury amenities, I would absolutely recommend considering them. One thing I would strongly recommend is renting a car and not walking to Georgetown.

Ixuma East - cottage

We had all the necessities for: cooking, sleeping, towels for bathroom, kitchen, beach, etc. Cable TV and WiFi OK. Split system AC heat pump provided comfortable temperatures inside residence. Problem issues: need to repair or install new stove; only 2 stove top electric burners working. Not sure about oven. Toilet handle sticks so It keeps running after flushing. Need to pull handle up so tank fills. Suggest installing a new water saving toilet. Laundry, parking and trash pickup OK.

Thank you very much for the review. We had a new stove installed on Tuesday, we've bought it from Master Technicians in Nassau on the 1 May. Thank you for telling us about the toilet handle in the review as I was not aware of this problem but now it explains why our water bill was $520 last month. We will install a new toilet as soon as the guests leaves, we had time after you have left but I was not aware of the problem. Thank you so much for staying with us, we hope that you will visit Exuma soon again

Minns cottages were very clean and had everything you need if you want to cook It’s close to the street so it can be loud at times. You can smell exhaust fumes if out on the screen porch. ( one thing to note: you are supplied with 2 rolls toilet paper and 1 paper towel.. so when you run out you need to go and buy more- not what I expected or wanted to shop for on vacation!) the property owner was excellent at giving recommendations for car rentals, food, etc if you are plan to stay at the cottage just know they could use some updates (bath/kitchen) but overall it was fine as we were out most of the day. It’s close to town but a tough walk as there is no sidewalk. A car is a must!

We had an excellent stay. The house was extremely clean. The hosts were communicative and responsive and helpful. We had plenty of everything inside the home and for the beach. Having laundry on site was nice. If you would prefer a softer mattress, the mattress was on the hard side. The beach in front of the home needs trash to be collected. The location close to town was amazing. Quick drive to restaurants, groceries, anything we could need.

Very conveniently located right near George Town. The cottage is functional and has everything you need for an extended stay, including kitchen amenities. The air conditioning works well. The beach across the street obviously has outstanding water but does have scattered garbage which is unfortunate. Be careful crossing the road trucks go very fast. Overall a great spot for a vacation.

Absolutely amazing place! The location was great to explore both ends of the island and get anything you need from the nearby shops. The cottage was very clean and had everything you could need for the beach. I also really enjoyed the screened in porch. The view was amazing and it kept the bugs out. Krissy was great also, very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back!

exuma extrem teuer, fast keine lokale geöffnet,möglicherweise saison vorbei, nicht unbedingt die beste lage, ohne leihwagen geht es nicht, unterkunft sauber und gut eingerichtet, haus selbst 70er jahre mit amerikanischen standart, europäisch 2 sterne kategorie, sind dann früher abgereist

This Property has been in the Minns Family from 1895 when Robert Minns acquire the property and was given to his son Nigel Minns and now his children are managing the estate the Estate is Approximately 220 Acres and runs from shore to shore on the Island.

This Cottages are very close to downtown, restaurants and the beach all is within a walking distance. All the Cottages are fully with 1 minute walk to the Beach. They are quite specious with full kitchens large living room and bedroom and on site laundry facility. Shopping, Boat Rentals near by and a very relaxing and friendly family atmosphere.
