La piscina è il luogo ideale per rinfrescarsi o la vostra abbronzatura, su una delle sedie a lato piscina sdraio. Circondato da un giardino tropicale meticolosamente conservata; i profumi ei suoni della natura sono tutti intorno a te - odore di quelle fioriture Ilang Ilang! Per vedere le iguane e bradipi che frequentano il albero omonimo di mango, si dirigono verso la prendisole al terzo piano. E 'il luogo ideale per godere della vista di Black Beach di Cahuita, i Talamanca montagne nebbia ripiano e il fogliame verde che è abbondante in questa pioggia boscosa parte del paese.

Having visited Cahuita before, we can confidently say that Casa del Mango is a total gem. Staying in Cahuita is exactly the "off the beaten path" experience we prefer, offering a beautiful and impeccably clean place to stay while still being just a short, easy walk to the beach. The wildlife sightings were a constant highlight for our boys during our stay. We woke up to the incredible sound of howler monkeys every morning and spent our days spotting sloths, toucans, and vibrant frogs right around the Casa. After a full day of adventure, coming back to such an incredibly comfortable home/ bed was a dream, and the kids spent every spare minute playing in the pool.What truly sets this place apart, however, are the incredibly gracious hosts who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. We have such a deep love for this area, and Casa del Mango is easily our new favorite spot to stay. We will be back for sure!

Best hosts ever! Natacha and Martin were welcoming extremely knowledgeable about the area, restaurants and local attractions. They had really thought of everything you could possibly want or need during your stay. I would love to stay here again. The house is authentically Caribbean and super comfortable. Natacha was extremely responsive and went above and beyond to be helpful whenever we had a question. So helpful! They even had a stocked fridge with 2 bowls of fresh fruit. We also really appreciated the hot/cold water dispenser.

This was THE best stay we've ever had in CR. I couldn't say enjoy great things about this place. We had local food delivered from one of the hosts friends. The distance from the beach. 3min walk. The host, Natacha, answered almost immediately. The pool was huge. The double decks were amazing. Great bedrooms. Never even felt like we needed A/C. This was paradise!!

Super cool house

We loved our stay in this funky and awesome house. Very cool design and backyard with the pool was very well taken care of. Quick walk to the beach and could hear howler monkeys at night in the distance. There isn't AC but the house is designed with lots of openings to let's the cross breeze through.

Cahuita Paradise

We had the most amazing stay! Natacha and Martin are amazing hosts, they were readily available when you had questions, assisted in setting up things to do such as massages at the house and a tour of Cahuita National park. We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach, restaurants, bars, grocery store and shops. My favorite part of the house was the rooftop where I would wake up early just to watch all of the wildlife, we were lucky enough to see so many sloths, toucans, iguanas, dart frogs and monkeys. The house was clean, unique and had beautiful views. We truly had an amazing time and thank you so much to Natacha and Martin for all you do! Pura Vida!

Super for family!!!

We have 3 children, 15, 14 and 2. This house was absolutely amazing for all of us!!! Natacha and Martin are truly super hosts and now our friends! They helped us every step of the way. The pool was so refreshing, the house had everything we needed and more ! The wildlife is awesome to see in person. We would definitely stay here again and so glad we went ! The weather was perfect everyday!

Great vacation!

Our family, plus two others, rented Casa del Mango for a week long vacation in Cahuita! We were 3 adults, and 5 kids (ranging in age from 8-18). Everyone had a blast! The hosts are awesome (thank you Sara and Nando) and there is always someone available on the property to help. The pool and gardens are gorgeous. The house is clean and comfy! We never ran out of things to do - beach, national park, sloth sanctuaries, you name it. This is the perfect home base for a Costa Rican vacation on the Caribbean coast!

Costa Rican Paradise

Natacha and Martin have an amazing property close to the beach and within walking distance to several amazing restaurants. The private pool was perfect and the grounds are beautifully done with some amazing vegetation. On the property we saw a wide variety of wildlife including several 2 fingered sloths and an endless supply of large iguanas basking high in the trees. We were able to take advantage of some of the wonders available in the area including Cahuita National Park and Aria Giant Green Macaw Sanctuary . I can’t say enough about this property and the owners!

Perfect Paradise

La Casa del Mango was an amazing VRBO! It was beautiful, clean, with a well stocked kitchen, and a private swimming pool. The landscaping was colorful and lush. The top floor observation deck was a great feature. Could not ask for better hosts than Martin and Natacha. They were so pleasant and friendly, and available to answer any questions we had. A top notch, 5 star rating!! We definitely will be back, and recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for the perfect place to stay in Cahuita, Costa Rica!!!!

Amazing Getaway Weekend

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ plus!!! We travel often, and have been to many countries, and this property did not disappoint!! Martin and Natacha are simply the best hosts we have ever had! Their attention to detail, kindness and on point suggestions of things to, or places to go were perfecto! The property is as pictured, beautiful, and well maintained! The kitchen was stocked with a selection for items to get you started! The town center is just a short walk for restaurants, bars, groceries, shops, and more. Check out Marco for day trips & excursions, he is amazing! You will not be disappointed if you stay here! Martin and Natacha are amazing, and we will return!!❤️

Paradise found.

We were a group of 8 empty nesters from Vancouver BC looking for a low-key quiet Caribbean holiday. We sure found it at Casa del Mango. We spent our mornings running the beach then drinking coffee on the rooftop viewing deck. We saw more wildlife here than anywhere else in Costa Rica. We watched a big sloth pass by our window for over an hour. Casa del Mango is an excellent house for an extended family or group of friends. Natacha & Martin were superb hosts we thoroughly enjoyed having a few drinks with them. Cahuita is an excellent place to take day trips. We highly recommend the hiking around Cahita park & a day snorkeling with Kenry. Pure Vida!

Absolutely amazing property!!

This place was absolutely wonderful. We couldn't have asked for more. Every detail was attended to, the hosts were so very helpful in setting up experiences for us, making everything seamless for us. We were able to park our vehicle inside the gate, which was a very safe feeling. The house was immaculate, and supplied with so much!! There was breakfast food, snacks, coffee - even milk and eggs! The beds were super comfortable and it seems like they thought of everything we could possibly need for our comfort. The grounds also were absolutely stunning. So obviously lovingly cared for. We were so very impressed and so very happy!!

Vacation Paradise

This was truly a vacation paradise in a lush, tropical setting !!! The unique house, the pool and the grounds were even better than we expected!! This lovely property provided our family various beautiful settings for meals and socializing. Our hosts were exceptional. They were most communicative and helpful prior to our trip. Upon arrival, they gave us a gracious greeting and a wonderful tour. It was most generous and unexpected that they left some snacks and food supplies, which made our arrival so much easier. Wonderful location and excellent hosts!!!!

Natacha and Martin set the bar very high for my family. We got in late and Martin was waiting and waved us into the driveway. With this being our first trip to Costa Rica, we were little nervous that the listing would look better in VRBO app than it does in person. We were very wrong. It looks great AND is a great place to stay. Close to the beach, wonderful views and a huge private pool. And yes the howler monkeys are close and you will hear/see them at dusk and dawn! We could not have picked a better place to stay. Natacha and Martin even had a fridge full of yummy food waiting for us so we had something to eat after traveling all day. Even a 6 pack of beer!! Natacha also helped coordinate several activities for us including a tour of the Bribri tribe, kayaking, a tour of a waterfall and a sweet zip lining excursion!

Breathtaking Property, Spectacular Hosts

We traveled to the Casa del Mango as a group of four friends for four nights and the house was perfect for us. There was PLENTY of room and each had our own room, bathroom and hammock! Not only was the house spotless upon arrival but the cleaners came half-way through our stay. Natacha and Martin were the the most wonderful hosts! They were very friendly and attentive to our needs! The house (especially the kitchen) was well stocked with everything we could possibly need! We arrived late on our first night so it was amazing to wake up to a fully stocked refrigerator! The outdoor area was amazing! We enjoyed sitting on the rooftop and searching for wildlife. We were able to see sloths and howler monkeys in the trees. The outdoor area was magnificent! We spent two full days just hanging out at the pool and around the house! Of all the vacation rentals I have stayed in, this was by far my best experience! Will definitely be back!

very best of cahuita

We have stayed at countless Cahuita rentals. This is our third time in Cahuita....staying a month each time. This by far and away our FAVORITE place to stay. fear of it being booked next time we go, i kind of want to keep how amazing this place is to myself. I can truly say that our 11 days at this place, is the closest i have been to being purely happy. The feeling of being nestled in the trees with the huge numbers of wildlife..so many huge igauanas, toucans, howler monkeys, a sloth. The pool was amazing. I love to swim laps and it was big enough to do that. The lighting at night transforms you into a fantastical getaway. And the hosts are above and beyond friendly, caring and warm. Cleaning occurs twice a week. Oh, and you walk into pretty much a fully stocked kitchen. Truly amazing with so much care and attention put into the place. The most challenging thing about the place was leaving. Makes me question my life in minus 40 and want to sell it all and move to Cahuita. Book here (except for when I want to book it). You absolutely will find a little piece of heaven on earth.

Beyond Amazing!!!

Our stay at Casa del Mango and the sweet town of Cahuita could not have been more perfect! Natacha and Martin are gracious and attentive hosts, always ready to assist in whatever ways they could to make our vacation dreams come true. The house is spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was perfect for our family of 6 adults….each mini-suite has its own bathroom and balcony with sitting space and a hammock, so there is plenty of area for retreat for private time. But our favorite hang-out area was the pool. It’s large, clean, and gorgeous, perfect for family fun. And so relaxing, surrounded by beautiful tropical plants, flowers, and trees, which play host to an amazing variety of wildlife including howler monkeys, sloths, iguanas, frogs, and even a crazy anteater! We were very entertained with spotting and watching these critters from the comfort of the pool or from the rooftop deck. We loved the fact that we didn’t have to mess with renting a car….beautiful Black Beach is only a couple minute walk away and the cute little town of Cahuita with lots of great restaurants and shops only about 10-15 minutes away by foot. We enjoyed the Mucho Adventure tour with Marco, a snorkeling tour with Kenry, poolside massages by Angel, manicures and pedicures at the beauty school in town, and went fishing twice with King, all of which were phenomenal. So many wonderful family memories were made during our time in beautiful Costa Rica. Thank you, Martin and Natacha, for helping to make our 30th Anniversary trip one of the best vacations ever! We can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful treehouse at the beach

Of the number of vacation homes we've rented, this is the one we would most like to get back to. The quirky architecture makes it something like living in a tree fort, only with jewel-colored tropical flowers all around. The rooms and especially the grounds are much more brightly colored and varied than they look in the pictures. The pool was clean and blue, as the photos show, and the gardens are cleverly laid out for seclusion and variety. It's a quiet little world of its own, behind a fence with a locked gate, on a small unpaved road with other vacation homes. One word about the height of the building: if you bring children, be aware that the top two floors are open decks. They offer a great 360° view of rooftops, jungle and ocean, and there are solid railings, of course, but it's high. That being said, for us the decks were one of the major draws of the place. On the next two floors down are the bedrooms, two on each floor, and the ground level has the open-plan living/dining/kitchen area, a powder room, and a wonderful lanai with a comfortable glider and a table and chairs. We rented as a family of four grown-ups, with the luxury of a bedroom and private bath for each of us. Our stay was for only three nights, and we wished we had made it for twice that. Nando and Manuel were very nice and helpful and could always be found when we needed them, but were never intrusive. We liked the town of Cahuita very much, with its laissez-faire Caribbean atmosphere and contented-looking dogs wandering around. There isn't much shopping, but there always seemed to be a low-key party scene in the evening. And in the daytime there are plenty of nature-oriented things to do in the area, as other people have noted. All in all, for us this was one of the best stays ever, anywhere.

perfect!

my partner and i stayed at "la casa del mango" for six nights (we just got back home last night!). it was a perfect location in town, close to things but quiet. a short walk from the cahuita national park, and a short drive to all kinds of fun activities on the caribe coast. we went to the sloth sanctuary, bocas del toro, panama, the beautiful parks, got amazing massages a block away, neighborhood restaurants, peurto viejo (which is a lively beach town)- there was also yoga offered in town numerous times per week. the town is quiet, and calm but has plenty of things to do. the house itself was immaculate. clean, beautiful. even more gorgeous than the pictures. with helpful staff (especially manuel, we loved him!). all of the staff was warm, welcoming, helpful- we even hung out with sara and nando's kids, and felt like a part of the family. fyi-- they don't live/stay on site, they just come during the day to make sure we are ok! so nice! we got up every morning and made breakfast and had our coffee outside where there was no shortage of wildlife. we saw iguanas, hummingbirds and all kinds of other creatures right outside our door/window. we had the house all to ourselves, so it's hard to say what it might be like if we'd had to share the facilities with strangers, but this would be a great house to rent with a group of friends or family. there was plenty of space! it was hot though. this is the Caribbean, so that is to be expected. we spent most of our days by the pool, and by bed time, things cooled down quite a bit-- overnight, we always ended up reaching for a blanket. we were on the top floor, in the room with the see-through bathroom ceiling. pro-tip: don't leave your makeup/toiletries there all day, or you'll come home to melted lipstick and very hot lotion! it was a great stay, we were very sad to leave, and i would definitely recommend this place to friends. i'm already trying to arrange another trip! thanks to the casa del mango family for an awesome stay!

Fabulous architectural home in lovely oceanside town hosted by the most attentive couple!

Natacha and Martin were the most attentive hosts I've ever had the pleasure of renting from. Even a month before we were to arrive they were answering all of my questions straight away. And while there, they hooked us up with wonderful guides and experiences by locals. The house is just remarkable! The glass walls and the rooftop deck were spectacular! In the early mornings, my son and I would go up to the deck and watch the Green McCaws feasting on they mango breakfast. The pool was a perfect temperature and we would spend hours relaxing after our daily adventures in town or on the beach. Snorkeling with Kenry was wonderful! He also took us on the tour through the National Park with playing in the warm waters of the Caribbean Beaches. So many fish and the coral was so interesting. And his homemade ceviche was delicious! Billy was so patient and kind during our surfing lessons. And I'd highly recommend his Indigenous Experience with chocolate making and the hike to the waterfall! Walking to the restaurants, the little town and the beach made it so much more relaxing than having to drive everywhere. I'd highly recommend the empanadas from Patty DelRita's place were delicious! We had to get used to the mangos dropping randomly throughout the day and night, but a small price to pay. And the ants all through the country are crazy! Definitely caused us to be as clean as we've ever been in the kitchen. Air conditioning would have made this home just about perfect! But I totally understand why they probably don't have them. The peaceful sounds would be disturbed by them running. The home can use some love, which they are giving to it as fast as they can. But the set up of the 4 separate rooms, each with their own full bathroom, is perfect for sharing with friends and family! They even have one room with a gate on it if you have younger children. The stairs would have been tricky for my son when he was younger but he did fine with them now. Overall, just a remarkable experience that I would highly recommend!

5 star stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Casa del Mango. The house is simply gorgeous. It was immaculate and had 4 big, beautiful bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, deck and hammock. The rooftop deck was such a perfect touch and had a great 360 degree view, including the beautiful black sand beach that is only a 5 minute walk away. We loved having margaritas up on the deck at sunset. The pool and patio were a tropical paradise and our kids loved playing in the pool. Natacha and Martin were the PERFECT hosts. They were flexible with check in/out times and met us when we arrived. They stay in the casita next door but were respectful of our privacy and space. They left us a fully stocked kitchen with everything we needed to cook and even left us eggs, fresh fruit, beer and condiments! We really enjoyed getting to know them and they joined us at the pool one evening, bringing gifts of local rum and cake from a local baker. They gave us suggestions for local restaurants and also told us about some live music at a local restaurant where they and some friends would be if we wanted to join (which we did). This was such a perfect way for us to end our trip to Costa Rica. We definitely recommend staying here!

We'd made a shortlist of properties to visit in different parts of Costa Rica but we knew that La Casa del Mango was the answer we'd been looking for when we first stepped through the gate. From the incredible views across the ocean and Talamanca mountains to the beautifully maintained home, it was love at first sight and we're delighted to share our little piece of Pura Vida with guests.

The tower reaches up past the mango tree which gives the house its name and stretches up into the sky, for the visitor to have a 360 degree panorama of the surrounding mountains, beach, ocean and foliage. Finally, that haven of peace and tranquility can be savored and enjoyed.
