Originally built in the early 1900s, this house has been lovingly restored to preserve its historic charm while also offering all the modern amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Well appointed, extremely clean, and two bathrooms for you and your guest's convenience. Unwind and enjoy the picturesque sunset from the kitchen and dining room.
The space
The spacious living area features a cozy fireplace and large windows that frame the picturesque ocean views. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for whipping up delicious meals with locally sourced ingredients, and the dining area is ideal for gathering with loved ones.

Both bedrooms are beautifully appointed and have plenty of storage space. Thoughtfully outfitted a king-size bed in the primary suite and queen in the guest bedroom. And, the master bedroom even has its own ensuite bathroom for added privacy.

Outside, you can relax on the front porch and take in the fresh sea breeze, or take the 10 minute walk to the beach for a day of sun and surf.

Better than advertised! Home away from home - great bed, wonderfully remodeled living space, fully equipped kitchen (lacked nothing), and our favorite: cozy wood-burning fireplace. Loved it!Conveniently located to the beach & to Eureka. All the host’s recommendations for our day trips (and restaurants) were spot on.If we’re ever back in this area, we’re definitely staying here.

The house is adorable, comfortable, very clean and within walking distance of the beach. If you don't want to walk to the beach, to see the sunset, you can see it by just stepping out the front door, walk a few yards to the right, and it's right there. The house contained everything you would need for cooking, and for making coffee or tea. The beds were super comfortable. The location is perfect to Redwood State Park, beautiful beaches and to Eureka.Communication with Amy was stellar. She was super responsive everytime I sent her a message.I can't recommend this place enough.

This is a great home, in a great area, with a great location, managed by a great property owner. I have rented other homes in the Eureka area and this was by far the best one I've stayed in. The owner truly understands hospitality. The home is well appointed, well thought-out and with extra details that really set it apart. The location to the beach and beach access can't be beat. Neighborhood is quiet and safe (no riff raff hanging around). Backyard area is great and we enjoyed evenings around the firepit--firewood is offered and abundant--huge plus. Towels are good quality and abundant. Kitchen is well stocked but not over cluttered. Information on the house and the area is provided and detailed. You really get a five star experience. Not only that but the property owner was responsive and we really appreciated their cooperation with a special request we had that made our stay possible. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and would most definitely stay here again.

Awesome renovated home located in historic lumber company town. Lots of character, charm, and personality. Nice views of nearby ocean from living room, kitchen and front yard. Loved large backyard and its fire ring sitting area and grass lawn. Plenty of firewood for outdoor fire ring as well as lovely living room wood stove. Very nice kitchen areas and bathrooms.

Cute vintage feel to the house with modern amenities. Easy walk to the beach with miles of beach walking. Fenced yard was a real plus for traveling with our dog. Easy access to local towns of Arcata and Eureka for dining and shopping. And of course conveniently located for exploring the redwood forest, the real reason for our visit.This is a real gem and we will return if in the area for the future.

The management was very professional, welcoming and organized. The property itself was very nice. Newly remodeled older home. Lots of great amenities. Nice big back yard for my dog to potty and play.Ocean a bit far with a dirt area with tractors in the view. But still pretty.Even though the house was nice, the rest of the neighborhood was very eerie. Many abandoned and falling apart homes. Lots of lifted big trucks and American flags (do with that information what you will). This rental is definitely the only nice home in the area. As a solo female traveler, I didn’t feel safe exploring the neighborhood with my dog. I’ve traveled globally solo. Backpacked across Mexico, Thailand, etc. and I got a strange feeling in Samoa. We left early.I guess it’s up to the traveler to find out about the neighborhoods where one’s rental is located prior to staying. But if I knew more about Samoa, I wouldn’t have stayed here.Again, the home was very nice and managed very well.

Very nice refurbished 1918 house in an area that is being revitalized. Be aware you are 6-7 miles away from any businesses so a walk to get coffee in the morning is a no go.
