Each morning begins with a freshly prepared breakfast while you take in sweeping views of the Pacific and surrounding mountains. Set on an estate-sized lot within the prestigious gated community of Ladera del Mar, the home features expansive outdoor living spaces, a private pool, and a massive hot tub — the perfect setting for an unforgettable Costa Rican getaway.

We manage over 100 vacation rentals in the area, so our hosting style is a little different than that of an individual host. During your stay, you’ll be supported by a dedicated team to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Ladera del Mar is a gated residential community that sits just before the town of Playas del Coco. Just a 35-40 minute drive from Guanacaste Airport (LIR), the home is just a 5-minute drive to amenities like grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies and shops. Just 3 minutes more and you’re at the ocean with several beachfront restaurants and a main street lined with shops, restaurants, and fruit vendors. Enjoy a walk along the beach boardwalk or stroll the beach from point to point for a 3km walk. Many scuba diving, sport fishing, and sightseeing tours depart from Coco. You’re also close to several area day trip spots – waterfalls, hiking, hot springs, and mud baths, cultural experiences, and river tours. Playas del Coco is the perfect home base for an amazing Costa Rican vacation! ⁣

Villa Mer et Soleil blends the comfort of a private home with the feel of a boutique retreat. The open-concept main level centers around a spacious living area with an 85" Smart TV and JBL sound system, flowing directly to the expansive outdoor terrace overlooking the ocean. The chef's kitchen features a large island with seating for eight, premium appliances, and a fully equipped coffee and beverage station — perfect for gathering over morning coffee or evening cocktails.

Outside, the terrace is designed for entertaining. Guests can relax in the infinity-edge pool, unwind in the oversized 16-person hot tub, or gather around the fire pit after sunset. A covered outdoor dining area accommodates large groups, while the outdoor kitchen and BBQ make it easy to enjoy meals with panoramic ocean views.

The villa’s six suites offer a mix of ocean and nature views, each with ensuite bathrooms, ductless A/C, and ceiling fans. Several suites open directly to the pool terrace, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor experience.

Each morning, your stay includes freshly prepared breakfast served by the villa’s on-site caretaker, who also helps ensure the property runs smoothly throughout your visit.

Guests should have a rental car for their stay, which we can assist with!  The villa is perched high in the hills of the development so we highly recommend a 4X4 for ease of getting to the villa. The area is not accessible by foot or golf cart. We do not recommend this home without a rental car or private driver.

VARIABLE PRICING - While this home sleeps 16, the pricing starts for groups of 8.  This variable pricing structure allows groups of all sizes to enjoy the home.  Please be sure to enter your accurate group size for proper pricing.

GETTING AROUND - Guests should have a rental car for their stay, which we can assist with!  The driveway to the home is quite steep so large groups should consider smaller vehicles, rather than larger transfer vans. 4WD or AWD is highly recommended. The home is perched high in the hills of the development and is not accessible by foot or golf cart. We do not have Uber here and getting a taxi can be challenging. We do not recommend this home without a rental car or private driver.
