The major characteristic of this quiet and bright location is its positioning in a green area in the center of Rome, with a terrace where you can enjoy having breakfast over the skyline of the city.
The apartment, suitable to host a family (up to 5 people), is located on Via San Damaso, 15 minute walking distance from the Vatican City, on the top floor (5th, with elevator). The building faces a private park and just below the terrace you can see grazing sheeps, goats and horses, while a family of foxes is asking for food. Forget the confusion of the city and relax yourself just few minutes from the center of town.
All rooms are very bright and cool in summer, due to the position of the apartment. The terrace, the living room, and the main bedroom overlook a splendid, broad, panoramic view of St. Peter's dome and all of central Rome, as far as Villa Borghese, the Pincio terrace, Villa Medici and Trinita’ dei Monti.
It consists of a living/dining room with a dining table, a TV and a a pull-out style queen sleep sofa (160 x 200 cm), one double bedroom (160 x 200 cm), a second bedroom with a single bed, a bathroom equipped with tub and shower, a kitchen completely equipped (gas cooker, microwave-oven, fridge/freezer, , both moka and American-style coffee machines, kettle, toaster and all the necessary cooking utensils, no dishwasher) and a large terrace (20 sqm) with table and chairs. A washing machine is available upon request.
The apartment, totally refurnished, has luxury finishing and parquet floors in every room.
A bus stop (n. 982) is at the gate of the building, taking you to sixteenth-century Rome (Via Giulia, Piazza Farnese, Campo de’ Fiori) or to the Vatican City and metro A “Ottaviano” station. Many other buses are a few minutes walking distance. A train stop (ROMA S. PIETRO, line FR3 connected to FR1 from “Leonardo da Vinci airport” at the TRASTEVERE station) is a 10 minutes walking while a taxi ride to and from the airport costs 40 euro (March 2012). Free parking is easily available in the area, or a private parking place can be arranged upon request.

I was living in this apartment until recently. Now we moved in the adjacent apartment and we decided to host tourists considering the location very close to the center town and the pleasant position
quiet place, few minutes walking from Vatican and renaissance Rome
Me and my husband spent a week in March in this fine and well equipped apartment.
Alberto is a perfekt host, who takes care of all, and the view from the balcony was always
Thank you Alberto!
This is a terrific apartment. We stayed there for a month in early 2015, and it exceeded all our expectations. Alberto and Anna Maria are wonderful hosts, helpful with suggestions and very welcoming. The apartment is spacious, clean, quiet, comfortable and well-equipped -- all that one could ask for. The location is very good, with access to transportation of all kinds, and the Vatican is within easy walking distance. We will recommend this apartment to all our friends and acquaintances. Thank you, Alberto, for your hard work and kindness..
Our family stayed in the apartment over the New Year Holiday, and had a wonderful time. The view of St. Peter's Basilica is beautiful by day, and night. The apartment had everything we needed with a wonderful terrace. Our host, Alberto was a pleasure. He was very accommodating throughout our stay. He gave us additional information prior to and during our visit. We would love to return for a future stay here. We will also recommend to our friends or anyone going to Rome.
We spent 3 wonderful days in this lovely apartment and enjoyed ourselves immensely. As Alberto reports in the description of this apartment, it's an easy 15 minute walk to St. Pete's Square and the bus service is excellent, one bus stops right outside. The outside terrace has a superb view of the Dome of St. Pete's Basilica, wonderful for an afternoon or evening glass of wine, and it is very quiet at night. Thank you Alberto for all your help, and we would not hesitate to book this apartment in the future. Grazie Mille!
Our family of 5 stayed in this apartment and had an amazing time. The view of St. Peter's Basilica is stunning and it was very easy to get to and from the center of Rome and back to the apartment. Our host, Alberto, was very helpful and accomodating throughout our stay. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends!
We spent almost a month in the apartment. The view from the balcony was awesome.
Alberto and his wife, Anna Maria, went out of their way to make us feel welcome and find our way around.
Transportation by bus is very good. A bus stop right in front of the apartment takes you to St. Peters Basilica, the Vatican Museum, and the metro. A short walk down the hill and you can catch a different bus to Piazza Venetia, the Coliseum. and St John Lateran Basilica.
I highly recommend this apt. and definitely would stay here again.
