Welcome to your one bedroom, completely renovated beach front condo, on the second floor of the east end of the Mistral building.

Built on a large dune bluff overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, Mistral #9 has incredible views of the white sugar sand beach and emerald waters.

The panoramic unobstructed views of the ocean in front of the unit allow you to witness the spectacular sunrises every morning from your private covered balcony and even from within the condo itself. You can also see Destin to the west and Panama City Beach to the east. Some days you see numerous dolphins frolicking in the water.

Seacrest Beach is a much more quiet and family friendly area than the mega tourist destinations of Destin and Panama City Beach. If you desire the crowds, you are only 20 to 30 minutes away from there, but the quaint beach towns along 30A (also known as the Beaches Of South Walton) are what provide the magic of the Emerald Coast. Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach are less than 2 miles to the east. Just to the west are WaterSound, Seagrove, Seaside, WaterColor, Grayton Beach, and Blue Mountain Beach. Each has its own unique eclectic personality and you will find plenty of dining, shopping, and recreational experiences.

Camp Creek Lake is a beautiful rare coastal dune lake that is a short walk down the beach. The paved hike and bike trail that runs the entire 19 mile length of 30A is just outside your door for those who want to visit the neighboring communities via bike, take a leisurely stroll, or go for a run.

Bike racks are provided at the building, as are community charcoal grills for your use. There are numerous local bike rental companies along 30A that will deliver bikes and have them locked and waiting for you when you arrive.

Check In is 4:00 p.m. Check Out is 10:00 a.m. During peak season it is very difficult to honor early check-ins.

Kitchen: Granite counter tops, bar with 3 stools, fully stocked with brand new dishes, cookware, flatware, drinkware, utensils, toaster, blender, crock pot, cookie sheets, and bakeware. *** We also have both a drip coffee maker as well as a Keurig K-Cup coffee maker.

Master Bedroom (sleeps 2): Queen size bed with brand new mattress and linens. Full size chest of drawers, closet, ceiling fan, 32'flat screen HDTV with cable and built in DVD player, telephone, IPAD/IPOD capable alarm clock/radio with extra USB charging ports, clothes iron, and ironing board.

Bathroom: Completely renovated with a walk in shower with frameless glass and custom mosaic tile. Brand new washer and dryer.

Bunk Beds (sleeps 2): Built in bunk beds for the kids with twin sized mattresses. Each bunk has it's own TV with built in DVD player, There is no cable service on these TVs so bring your Chromecaster, Roku, Apple TV, and cables to hook up and have your own entertainment paradise.

Living Room (sleeps 2): All furniture is brand new. Counter height dining table with butterfly extension and 6 chairs, side chair, sleeper sofa (queen size), 46' flat screen HDTV with cable, DVD, surround sound system. UNOBSTRUCTED view of the emerald waters and beaches. ***** November 2013 Update: We replaced the sleeper sofa

Balcony: Very nice outdoor table and chairs. Spectacular view.

Electronics/Technology: Free WiFi broadband internet, key-less coded door locks (no more losing your keys in the sand!), 32" and 46" flat screen HDTVs each with a DVD and Cable TV, 10" monitors in each bunk ready for your connection to your personsal devices (must bring your own Chromecast, Roku, HDMI cable, etc), free long distance (USA) telephone service.

Parking: There is a parking lot dedicated to the building. You will walk no more than 25 steps the reach the stairs to the unit.

Beach Access: The stairs right outside your front door lands at the boardwalk to the beach. You are literally 15 steps from the boardwalk. The lighted boardwalk has a shower and foot wash station to remove sand when you are leaving the beach.

Pool: There is no pool on this property.

BEACH CHAIRS: We provide beach chair service from a local company that includes two beach chairs and a beach umbrella. Each morning your reserved chairs and umbrella will be waiting for you on the beach! No more lugging your heavy chairs to and from the unit. It is all provided to you for free!


This service would cost you an average of $200/week


Extras: We also have a nice game and book selection in the condo.

Geography: We are approximately 2.5 miles West of the intersection of US98 and County Road 30A. Rosemary Beach is 2 miles to our east and Seaside is 4.5 miles to our west. Going out further, Panama City Beach is 10 miles to our east and Destin is 25 miles to our west.

PETS: We're sorry. We do not allow any pets. Please do not email to ask for an exception. Pets are never permitted.

AGE RESTRICTION: No reservations will be made for vacationing students or any singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult legal guardian or parent during the entire stay. Restrictions may apply regarding the number of people that may accompany a parent or legal guardian. Chaperoned groups are prohibited. Please do not email and ask for an exception.

SMOKING: Smoking is NEVER permitted in the unit or on its balconies or porches.

Local Management: We have a local property manager (Emerald Waters Realty) directly across the street from our building. This provides easy and convenient check in/out and prompt resolution of any issues while you are in the unit.

Why Terry Amacher chose Beaches of South Walton

We started vacationing in this area in 2006 and fell in love with the emerald waters and white sugar sand beaches. We love the beaches along 30A because they are not crowded like Panama City Beach and Destin. Most of the development along 30A is single family homes and low rise buildings. The beach towns are quaint, walk-able, and perfect for your family vacation.

What makes this condo unique

We just renovated and remodeled the entire unit. The flooring, wainscoting, crown molding, paint, linens, furniture, dishes, utensils, and bathroom are are brand new as of April 2012. This is not your typical stale condo filled with wicker and Formica. Take a look at the incredible bathroom with the walk in shower with frameless glass and custom mosaic tile. The washer and dryer is brand new.

This is a second floor unit so the views are amazing. Sitting on your couch or standing in your kitchen and gazing out the balcony doors makes it feel as if you are on a cruise ship. This unit is also on the eastern end of the building so there are extra windows/light and the sunrises over the ocean are spectacular. Also, due to the angle of the building, you do not get the overwhelming afternoon sun/heat beating down on you. It stays much much cooler than units in the middle or on the western end of the building.

Nicely upgraded with excellent shower and beach unbrella & chairs provided

No TV guide or use instructions for TV & clock or radio in utensil draw not fully maker too slow...deck chairs sit too low to view over railings...LR sofa slopes to the inside middle...satellite TV out on Thurs PM through Saturday with no follow up call back from local RE office after notification. We brought 7 DVD movies and watched them all.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. Hurricane Hermine wiped out Mediacom service for most of 30a and it did take them days to get back online. Just a perk of coastal living ;) We also have general maintenance coming up in November which will include a new couch (those things only last a few seasons in rentals).

We had a great stay at Mistral #9. The condo is comfortable, clean and well-appointed. We felt it had all the things we needed and you cannot beat the gorgeous view! It was so nice to just walk downstairs to the beach from where you're staying. It's a nice location, a short car ride or bike ride away from shopping and dining and all the fun things to do in the area. We will definitely want to come back and stay here again.

Great unit with a great view

We had a great time staying in Mistral #9. Unit is very comfortable and the kids loved the TV's in the bunks. View from the Balcony was great. We watched Dolphins during Lunch one afternoon. Being on the second floor has the best views in my opinion.

Getaway trip for two

My husband and I stayed at Mistral #9 for a couple's getaway. The unit was clean and fully equipped to meet all our needs. We especially liked having the beach service, no carrying chairs and umbrellas back and forth to the beach. The unit provides beautiful views of the gulf and location suited our needs. I would stay at Mistral #9 again.
